k so i want to dye my tips of my hair or underneath my hair purple (semi-permanent, only for the summer). my mom offered to do it with those at-home applyers. but is it better to get it professionally done in the salon?
and any tips i should know before i dye my hair at home ? (if i do dye it at home, that is)
oh yeah, and my hair is naturally black.
if you are doing just the tips your mom can do it if you were to get highlights then you should go to a salon.
You will need to bleach your hair in order to have the color. The tips have to turn very blonde before you have the purple show. The more blonde the hair the lighter the color.
And do not wash your hair with warm water once you color it. It will completely wash it out. Good luck. :)

where can i get semi-slutty clothing for less than 20 bucks? not SUPER slutty, just tops that i can wear this summer when i go out?
also, where could i find a good push-up bra that doesn't have three inches of padding for less than 20 bucks?
FOREVER 21!!!! They have shirts that are semi slutty and cheap. And for your bra go to TJ maxx or Marshells. I found a great bra for 7.99. They will also have a great selection of summer cloths for a great price. I hope that helps.

I'm short, I'm skinny, I'm clumsy, I wear baggy jeans and a band shirt and old sneakers everyday and have for just about my entire life. My hair is barely shoulder-length and layered a lot and about 4 different shades of brown because of messy dye-jobs. my eyes are green, i have a ton of freckles across my nose, and 8 piercings in each ear.
i'm not exactly a prom person... i'm actually a little bit of a mess. but this year i want to be different, instead of just looking like the grungey, messy, sardonic girl i always am.
forget turning heads, i want to break necks.
prom is rapidly approaching: i have two weeks to not make an absolute retard out of myself.
i have no expierience buying dresses or shoes or doing hair or make-up.
...i really want to have one of those cinderella moments where everyone turns around and goes "whoa, oh my god!"
my date is really tall and wearing a white suit, do we have to match?
what's a corsage?
...i'm fully aware that i fail at life >.
Alright prom is my specialty!! I just helped out my cousins girlfriend who by the way is a total tom boy. I have helped her out in a matter of day. First things first he is wearing a white suit which think of it as a blank canvas.
You are looking to wow people so go for a fun bright color. Something sexy but not over the top. Try to avoid poofy dresses they are extremely uncomfortable, you wont be able to dance or sit in it. Go with something that will fit your body type and skin tone.
Next color your hair. Buy it over the counter the darkest brown you can find. Color it and 2 days prior to prom color it again so that the pieces you missed or didn't take the color takes on your second try. I would suggest to go for a sleek, classy and sexy hair do. Try a sexy bun or even something a little funky.
Make up is the fun part after you choose your dress. Go to your local department store like macy's dillards, saks or what have it and ask them what would look great with the dress you choose and they will do your make up if you buy the product. I bought a lip gloss and eyeliner which you can use after prom is over.
If you go into prom totally polished and done up you will wow everyone. And since you said you where clumsy dont wear white!!! A girl at my table had a beautiful white dress and dropped french dressing all over it.
Good Luck and if you need help im here to help I love proms :)

Okay, so I don't have a very good fashion sense. I'm only 13, but a lot of my friends have really awesome outfits. I don't know how to mix and match very well. When I get older, I want to live in the city. (I live in NY.) I really want to know how I can learn to dress in that chic kind of way. I really like the way Blake Lively dresses on Gossip Girl. I'm not into doing anything to over the top the way Leighton Meester does in GG, but I really like Serena's look. How can I learn to match clothes well and choose the right ones?
The best thing to do is grab a few magazines cut out some pictures and styles that you like. Try teen vogue, style magazine, and tabloids they have some really great style ideas. And once you cut up some pictures go to H&M, Macy's, Forever 21, and a lot of local stores have great styles its about mixing and matching. And when you watch Gossip Girl look at what Serena is wearing and note it because you can probably find something that looks similar to it. Also try being daring, make a bold decision and be proud of it. Be confident in your choice.

I also have the same problem. I get the knotty hair and the best possible thing to do is get layers in your hair choppy and textured layers because then your hair wont get go knotty. If you color or put too much product in it that might have something to do with it. So avoid straining your hair.
