about

Hey everybody. I've love giving advice so I'll answer every question I can. If you need any advice on anything, just ask me! A little about me- I play tennis and I love to shop and hang out at my pool with friends. I'll be a sophomore in high school this year so I've had plenty of experience on friendship and relationships. I always try to take my time and answer every question thoughtfully. I don't care about ratings or any of that, I just want to help people out. :-)

i'm going to buy a straightener soo, so does anyone know a really good chi hair straightener? and where can i buy it?

thankss sooo much

Yep. I got mine from the hair salon at JCPenney. The brand is Global Beauty and I think it's called a ceramic chi straightener or something like that. I love it, it makes my hair so soft and straight and it lasts all day. I think it was about $120.

my homecoming dress is strapless and I am a size A in bra but I am going to wear a pretty good push up bra. My concern is my dress slipping while I'm dancing. I just want to know if anyone has been in this type of situation before and has some advice to keep the dress from slipping. thanks in advance

I wore a strapless dress this year so I know what you're going through. Just get some heavy duty double stick tape (sticky on both sides) and put it on the top of the inside of your dress. I did this and it worked really well. Even after 4 hours of dancing it didn't move around at all.

okay my homecoming is this weekend and im getting my hair done at a very nice place but i dont know what do get done. my hair is a little below my shoulders and i dont mind if the hairstyle is curly or straight. please send links of pics of you can! thanks

Just get an updo! This year a lot of my friends (including myself) thought it would be really pretty to wear our hair half up/half down with lots of curls and sparkles. It was pretty....for about an hour. As soon as you get out there on the dance floor you'll be super hot and sweaty and your hair will start to look sick. That's what happened to me and it sucked. So just tell your stylist to do a really pretty updo. She'll have lots of ideas and I'm sure it will be pretty! That's what I wish I would have done!

I am 13/f and am in the 8th grade (middle school). I have this tee shirt that I want to wear that I got from American Eagle and it says "Very Huggable" on the front, and "Very Kissable" on the back. Is that inappropriate for school, and would it be sending a bad message because I don't want to look like an idiot when I wear it on Monday. Thanks a bunch!

DON'T wear that shirt. My sister's friend wears it all the time and my whole family always talks about how trashy she is, and that just makes it even worse. It sends out a really bad message for someone who is only 13.

Hey guys...do you have any good websites that would have a shirt for my homecoming dance? I want to get something online because I want to have something different and cuter than everybody else's!! I could get away with just about anything...it's a mix between casual and dressy. I've already tried like, American Eagle and Abercrombie...so if you have any different, cute sites...let me know!

Thanks!
*SARA*

Aren't you supposed to wear a dress to homecoming? Even if its kinda casual, if I were you'd a wear a cute little dress, like a cocktail dress. You would definitely stand out and look really cute for sure. If you don't know what I mean, here are some pics:

where can you buy a 3 barrell curling iron?? and roughly how much money?! and do they work??

My friend got hers at Meijer for $15. You could probably get one at Wal-Mart too. It works really good but you have to let it heat up for awhile.

I want to get my lip pierced but idk if it'd look good on me, alot of people said it would but i just want some more advice uhhhhh..
here's a link to my picture o_O

lol i drew one on once and it looked okay haha.
but ugh its body manipulating and i just wanna make sure o_o

I don't know I guess it would look alright but you are already really pretty as it is. You have a really unique look but I think a lip ring might look kinda trashy. That's just my opinion though.

On Sunday I'm going to the beach wwith my family and another family who has a 14 year old son. He's a year older than me and he's cute!!! I have these one pieces that i look good in, but i also have some bikinis. The problem with my bikinis is my nipples show through the fabric!!! Yuck!! Should i wear the bikini anyway or go with a one piece?

Definitely go with the one piece since it looks cute on you. If you wear the bikini you'll be self-concious about it the whole time and you won't have any fun!

I know girls will judge another girl on their clothing, but do guys care if your not wearing abercrombie or hollister? (I know I sound very shallow thinking all guys judge on stupid things but its been bothering me) It just doesnt seem right that guys dont need to wear amercrombie but girls seem almost required to or they're pushed out. Another question, do guys prefer strait hair over curly? thanks in advance, I'll rate for anyone who can give me a decent answer.

Honestly, every guy is different. Just like some girls prefer preppy guys, and some girls prefer the punk look on guys, every guy has a different taste. Sure, a lot of guys are attracted to girls with silky straight hair that are covered in A+F, but there are also lots of guys out there who don't care about stuff. So it's just about finding the one who's interested in you and doesn't care about style. :-)

Hey i was wondering if any of you know a all around really good shampoo and conditioner.. i use brilliant brunette right now but i was wondering if theres like a better one maybe pantene the brunette expressions or garnier fructice or what... my hair is wavy i can curl or straighten it so yeah thanks! im looking for one to make it shiny and healthy and makes it just look good! 15 f

I wouldn't advise you to get Brunette Expressions because Pantene just copied John Frieda and made the products for each hair color like he did. (Sheer Blonde, Brilliant Brunette, Radiant Red) If you aren't happy with your hair just try different products. Biolage is really good, it makes your hair super soft. So try that, but experiment with other stuff too. :-)

Hey. Well, i just bought my hair straightener yesterday at JCPenny's it was $130. And i haven't used it yet but someone told me that u have to buy like some gresse or some oil to put on after or before doing it. Is that true.or can u just do it like that without putting anything. And if true can yall tell me what to buy, and were to get it from. Thanksss.
Brenda

OMG I just bought that same hair straightener today! Is it the CHI one? They told me I was supposed to put something on my hair and I bought this smoothing system stuff, but I didn't even use it and it turned out great. I love the straightener though, it's awesome. :-)

School pictures are coming up, and I don't know what I should wear. Does anyone have any ideas?

Well all that really matters is the top, so don't worry about the bottoms. Whatever you do, don't wear a shirt with words on it. I always thinks that looks really stupid in pictures. Just a plain, nice t-shirt in a solid color would be fine. You don't want something with a crazy pattern. Even a pretty tank top looks nice. Then you dress it up with a cute necklace that matches your shirt. Oh, and for your hair, leave it down. When girls wear their hair in a ponytail for pictures they look bald. lol. Hope this helps!

ok so i just bought these destroyed cropped jeans from abercrombie and in the fitting room, i accidently shoved my foot in one of the holes so now it's kinda bigger...anyways, my question is..if i wash them in the wash and then dryer, will the frayed strings break off and there will just be a big hole there? Also the button (when you zip up your pants) is upside down..it really bothers me..do you think I should exchange them?

The same thing happened to me when I first put on a pair of destroyed jeans. I still do it sometimes! As for the strings across the holes, they'll be fine. I have a couple pairs of destroyed jeans and I've washed them many times just like you would with regular jeans, amd nothing has ever happened to them. I don't really get what you mean by the button being upside down, but if it bothers you, exchange them for a different style. And they probably won't notice the hole you made bigger in the dressing room, so that'll be fine. If you aren't comfortable with them, you won't wear them so it'll just be a waste of money. Hope this helps!! Any more questions, just ask! :-)

I just bought these destroyed jeans..my first pair! and they are really cute!! but the problem is..I'm a afriad that when I put them in the washer, and I wear them out, the frayed part will rip and there will be a big hole in the "frayed" part..can someone help me..if they've had experience with destroyed jeans..can you please tell me how to care for them and what eventually happened to the frayed holes? thanks

The holes will be fine. I have a couple pairs and they've been through the wash many times. Nothing has ever happened to any of them. The only thing you have to be careful of is when you put them on, make sure you don't accidently shove your foot into one of the holes! I did that the first time I put them on and it made the hole a little bigger. No big deal but now I'm a little more careful. hope this helps! :-)

I was walking thru the mall and a lady with a hair straightener stand stopped me and asked if she could straighten my hair to advertise her profuct. She said "this is a ceramic hair straightener that the salons use. it doens't damage your hair and it actually brings out the softness in your hair. you can get this at a salon for $200 but we're selling it here for $99." I was like WTF! 99 DOLLARS?! I loooooved the straightener though... So I was wondering whats the difference between a ceramic one and a regular one? Can you get a decent one at CVS or walmart for under say, 20 bucks?

Well the ceramic ones are supposed to help make your hair smoother and they don't cause as much damage. I don't think you're going to find one as good as that one at Wal-Mart or wherever. The really good ones can't be bought in regular stores. I used to have a Conair one that was black with gold plates and it was like $20. It worked pretty good but recently I got one of the ones like you saw in the mall. They are so worth the money. Hope this helps!

this year I want to dress more preppy. What are some styles that look preppy? I rate very high!

Honestly all you have to do is go to Hollister and Abercrombie and Fitch. Polos are really preppy, and so are destroyed jeans. Basically anything that's just supercute and not trashy at all. :-)

school starts september 7th so i definitely need to dye my hair, get my nails done, get a haircut, etc. lately, i've heard of people asking to get their hair 'thinned' when getting a haircut. i've seen the the results and the hair looks different. like the texture. so my question is: what is hair thinning? how do they do it? what does it do to your hair?.. do you think it looks good?

thanks in a advance! i rate 5's.

Well basically what they do is take a razor type thing to thin out your hair and give it a little bit of layering. It usually looks good, I guess it just depends on what style of hair your have. Ask your stylist about it. :-)

I got my hair cut to look like hers too! Now everyone says I look like her. You should definitely bring in a picture of Kristin to show your stylist. You could find a picture in a magazine or online. Here is a link for a really good one:
