you know those cute skirt bottomed simwsuits? can you swim with them and not have them float underneath you? (link)
|
i'm afraid not. the skirts are usually made of the same material as the swim suit and it's not heavy enough to stay down under water. if you really want it to stay down, maybe try putting a weight on the edge on the inside of the skirt. like maybe glueing a magnet or something like that to weight it down. that's really the only thing i can think of. i hope it works out! good luck!

Whenever I put eyeliner on, there's no affect. It just looks like I have black stuff all over my eye. Does anyone have any tips to put it on better? Thanks! (link)
|
it depends what eyeliner you're using. twistable stick eyeliner generally have that effect you're talking about. i would suggest using liquid eyeliner, it's much smoother and won't smudge nearly as easily. as far as putting eyeliner on, i put my finger at the corner of my eye and pull (like when we were all kids and we'd make our eyes look chinese by pulling on the edges) i do that so it's a smoother line and isn't so rounded. as for the bottom you just kinda have to wing it, place it under the lashes, if you put it above then the eyeliner has a good change of getting into your eye. i hope i've helped.

my hair is black and im getting some kind of brown highlights.. my hair is KINDA poofy so i was wondering if getting highlights would straighten my hair a bit.. also.. i straighten my hair so i wonder if straightening my hair like 5 times a week would lighten my highlights.. pleaze answer! (link)
|
Acctually, getting highlights will make your hair more poufy if anything. Since your hair is black, the only way to color it and get good results would be to bleach your hair. If you tryed to dye highlights then it wouldn't show up so your colorist will no doubt choose to bleach in the highlights. What happens is the hair soaks up the bleach and stores it in the inside of the root which makes the hair strand thicker which will make it more poufy. And straightening can lighten highlights but as long as you condition very well when you shower it should be fine. There's color protecting shampoos you can find at almost nay grocery stores, john frieda is a good brand.Try to only straighten your hair every other day. If your hair gets oily, there's a powder you can buy at drugstores for around 8 dollars that can hide oilyness in your hair. I hope I've been as helpful as possible! Good Luck!

Hey you guys i have a shag and sometimes it gets relly frizzy what could i do to help that? (link)
|
Try getting layers, it helps with the frizz thing that makes your hair poof out. To help, try using a frizz serum. You can basically go to the supermarket and get any type of frizz control serum, but make sure it's a trusted brand. I prefere anything by pantene pro-v, garnier, ect. Good Luck!

i am 13 and i went and got blonde higlights on my brown hair and i noe the highlights will start to go away but i was wondering if i striaghten my hair everyday and wash it everyday will it make the color go away faster?? and is there anything i can do to keep my highlight from not letting the color fade away so fast?? can u plz help me!! (link)

Yes, straigtening you hair every day can reduce the color of your highlights. To prevent using your color and protect your hair, use a color-treated shampoo. If you have straight hair i suggest Dove Moisture Rich Color Shampoo, for $4 sold in drugstores. If you have curly/wavy hair i suggest Matrix Curl.Life Defining System Shampoo for $10, sold in drugstores. And if you have relaxed hair try Neutrogena Triple Moisture Cream Lather Shampoo for $6 also sold in drugstores. I hope i've been as helpful as possible! Good Luck!

I have blonde hair, and i want to lighten it so it's even more blonde, like the color or paris hilton's. my friend thats going to be ligtening it asked me if i wanted it dyed or bleached. what's the difference? which one should i do? (link)

Dying is using a color. bleaching is using a substance that extracts color. I suggest dying. Bleaching is much mor harmful and if your hair is frizzy it can increase frizz. When you bleach your hair, you hair soaks up the bleach which makes your hair swell because of the intake of bleach which makes your hair more poofy and frizzy. I highly suggest dying your hair, it keeps it at the same frizz level and doesn't damage your hair nearly as much. Which ever you choose, make sure you condition you hair very thoroughly to protect you hair. I hope i've been as helpful as possible. Good Luck!

How do you do a messy bun? I've looked all over the web to try and figure this out. Maybe I'm just not seeing it, who knows. Can anyone help me? (link)
|
first of all, IGNORE unfitfather003.
1. wrap a hair band around your hair 2 or 3 times(depending on thinkness)so that there is enough room on your hair band to make another loop.
2. Loop your hair through the band halfway so that the ends are at the top of your head so they spike upwards.
3. pull the ends of the pony around the circumferance of the pony so it's spread evenly
4.adjust how long or how short you want the ends to stick up.
I hope i've been as helpful as possible! Good Luck!

Don't worry, i had the same problem a couple of weeks ago. Here are some tactics used by professionals to add more "umph" and style to your hair.
Tapering- Where the front portion of your hair is cut at an angle so it fits and draws more attention to your neck line and facial features. It's a very classy look and looks very neat and put together with straight hair.
Side Part/Bangs- This adds a little drauma to your hair and it much more pleasing to see a side part than the boring straight down the middle hair line. It's much easier to keep up with since it goes with your natural part and hides those awful calics! If you want to add more drauma, try side part bangs. You can see this style on many celebs like Hilary Duff, Lindsay Lohan, ect.
Layering- A curly haired girl's best friend. It cuts down on the poof of your hair and helps your hair look not so big and less frizzy.
I have all three and it works quite well. It's a very up to date look that's easy to keep up with and easy to work with, with all hair types. Don't be a little shy about the tapering and side bangs if your going to get both. They turn out fine if you are to do it. If you're a little hesitant about bangs, i'd say skip it and just go for the side part and tapering. Bangs arn't for everyone so don't feel pressured if bangs simply arn't for you!
always,
Carly
