how do you know if you're a true christian? i mean, i believe in God and that Jesus died for our sins and i go to church and pray every night, but i also lie frequently and stuff, and sometimes i feel like, intimidated by God?idk,its weird. but sometimes i get scared about like, revalation and stuff and i feel like theres a chance i wont go to heaven, even though i deffinetly believe in God and im not sure if i'm really a christian. can someone help ?

Maybe you're just convincing yourself that you you're a Christian? I have no idea i dont know your heart, but you go to church, and pray and thats totally great but have you really surrendered your life completely to God? Or maybe you just need to get your life on track and get closer to God you know? I know I need to. Have you let Him be the "Pilot" of your life? If you have questions please don't hesitate! I am part psychic sometimes I kno what is going to happen but it is usualy only about little things not like huge world wide things.
first off I would like to kno how I can strangthen my skills.
2nd off. Sometimes when I am going to bed I have hundreds of thoughts going threw my mind. It is like different people are talking all at once. The thoughts arent things I would kno of or have ever thought about. Do you think that I am having thoughts from other people or spirits? I doubt it but im not sure.
First of all, being psychic won't get you to heaven. I hate to say it, but youre going down a bad path. Think about it, if you're not serving God, then you're pleasing Satan. Are you sure you wanna do that? Im Christian, and if you want to ask me anything ill definetely be willing to try my best to answer them..Im sorry if I offended you, and Im not trying to convert you or anything, just letting you know that God loves you so much more than you could imagine.
i'm wicca and i'm gonna have a baby and well i was wondering if it's wrong if i make my baby learn and follow through with the wicca relligon i really want her/him to belive in what i belive in and i think of it as like the christans and how they make them belive in the whole jesus christ bible stuff no offence to any people who belive in that relligon so is it wrong? plez help
First of all, yes I do believe that is wrong, its not even giving the child a chance to belive in something much more powerful than wicca. Christians do not make their children believe in the "whole Jesus Christ Bible stuff". They tell them that other religions are wrong which is true. Im sorry if Ive offended you, but I think you should no more about Christianity before you thrw that out there you know?

As far as my faith goes? I'm not quite sure. I was raised thinking Jesus is the true Messiah, not not worshiping him, per say. My father's side of the family has a lot of Jewish traditions woven in with Catholic ones.
I think Christians worship Jesus INSTEAD of God, and I don't think that's right.
I DO NOT want to be a Jew for Jesus. I'm sorry, I'm not praying in a highschool gym. Its not going to happen. I've prayed in both churches and synagogues, because I just say, "Hey, its the same God, right?"
But the way of worshiping Him is quite different. I have no idea who I am, where I fit, or where I should go to pray.
Christians don't worship God instead of Jesus, theyre all three holy spirit,God,and Jesus (its really confusing)You should be able to go and pray wherever you want.Dont be ashamed.

Read your Bible...yeah I know it can be boring, but the more you do it the easier it is.Talk to God more.Join in at worship,but really mean it..let it come from your heart.I told my youth group leader your same question and she told me the holy spirit is already working in you, and letting you know you need to get your realtionship with God right..so youre on the right track!Good luck
If God is the "Creator", then who created him? Surely one can not create himself. So, with that said, who said that God has all control over everything?
Humans dont know. God didn't create Himself.. He was just here. Its hard for us to believe but its all about faith..

I have decided to put my faith into one of them cause i know they both involve Jesus and the Bible but how are they different?do you go to hell for being one over the other? do they worship the same god? and where can i get a bible? also is it true that luthern is based off the bible. Yes masturbating is most definetley a sin..why would you wanna do that anyways?You can get a Bible from any book store or Christian store,and personally im Christian.I dont like Lutheran so much because theyre a little more strict and i think they pray to mary and i could totally be wrong but it seems like Christians have a more intimate,livley,personal relationship with God.....keep me posted =D
Hey im agnostic, a pretty strong agnostic i guess... which might seem weird cuz when i was younger i was the most religous person in my family! None of us ever went to church but i really wanted to and stuff, and then as we got older everyone except my dad whose athiest got big on religon, except me, who just stopped believeing. I dont know why i just started to really think about it, and ask myself questions about it, and i just couldnt believe it anymore. Then later on i became wiccan for awhile, but i went through depression and stopped believing again. I think mostly religon is something that people really need to hold onto and believe in, and so they create it. I totally understand that religons tend to be good, and they have good values and things like that, but i dont think they're true. im not likely to change my mind [and yea i HAVE been to church], but i figured id give anyone a chance to explain to me how they know their religon is true... please don quote the bible unless ur gonna tell me how you know the bibles true too. And dont say you just KNOW, because people always tell me that they just KNOW that their god is the real one and not someone elses, and then that person comes up and tells me the same thing.

okay,I'm going to tell you right off the bat that im Christian,and Im just gonna tell you how it is and be very upfront.First of all, -look outside.How do you think all of this got here?Just by a big BOOM and there was life and man automatically had knowledge and knowing exactly what to do in the beginning, and everything was just perfect?Take a look in the mirror.Look at your eye..you think evoloution created that?Besides, even if evoloution were true,shouldn't everything be perfect by now? I mean, think about it, if everything just evolved, wouldn't the world have no suffering,pain or evil?The world would be perfect in every way..and i'm sure thats not how things are today.I can tell you that God exists and loves you MORE than you could imagine because I have a personal relationship with Him, and no one can touch that. You can't tell me my God isn't true because I have a relatoinship with Him.How can you say you are a strong agnostic when you don't have proof? There's enough proof out there that there's a God, its just that alot of people ignore it and wont believe it.God loves you so much.So much, that He sent His only son down to earth just so He could die so that YOU could be forgiven of sinning and go to heaven.Could you imagine doing that?If you want to know why everyone dosent worship God and believe in Him, its because He gave us a choice.A gift.What kind of gift would it be if we were just told to serve Him?Those who chose to do so will be blessed and go to heaven,but those who chose not to believe in Him will burn in Hell forever.Sound fun?lol jk, but i hope this helped you realize that there is an almighty God who loves you so much and is waiting for you to come back to Him but in a way youve never experienced before.Please keep me posted..

First of all, let me clear the air. Im a sexually active 20 year old, Ive never been married, and I personally see nothing wrong with premarital sex, or sex in general.
But.
I have many friends who are Christian or Catholic, and they are (in my opinion) anywhere from sexually repressed at best, to afraid of and disgusted by sex at worst.
I cant really talk to most of them about it, simply because its a very uncomfortable subject.So I pose the question to the masses. For those of you who are religious, what are your views on sex, and why?
Thought provoking answers might get my screen name for further discussion, if you like. Any answers that sound something like

well, im Christian, and i believe that sex before marraige is wrong.Why would you want to waste pretty much your best way of showung your love for someone,on probably people you mite not end up with?
but my friend is a chrisitan. He wants me to go to church with him every week, and im not all that enthusiastic. I feel guilty for even thinking about saying no because i get all self concious when i think of him thinking of me as a sinner. Anyways we were having a very good time at a footbal game and then we were talking about stuff and somehow the topic just came up about dying. He was like, no offense but if you died right now i think you'd go to hell. He was being really serious. Well, it depressed the hell out of me. Im a nice person, i dont try to judge people, i like to share, my morals are higher then anyone elses and then i get depressed because i cant live up to them. I was really hurt but i didnt let on. He wouldnt elaborate, he said we could talk about it on the phone sometime. Well, do you think it was right of him to say that? Or am i just being dumb? I cant help but feel like im some kind of 'project' hes trying to save...
Why don't you think of considering Christianity?take your belief into thought.. and if your friend is telling you this, it means he cares about you and wants to see you in heaven.Dont feel like a 'project' just look at it as how much he cares about you.That was probably really hard for him to say,so you gotta try to understand how he feels, and give him a chance.Dont take it offensivley.Just because "youre a good person and you help out people" does not mean anything.Youre friend is a really great one that he would say somthing thats hard to say because he cares about you....
I'm an Aethiest. I strongly believe that there is no god. I respect other people's religions, and I don't try to convert people or anything. Now, I've been in scouting for years. Lots of years. From a Tiger Cub Scout in 1st grade to a First Class scout now (I'm kind of slow with scouting). Anyway, the requirement for every class that says to live the Scout Oath and Scout Law in your every day life is now being enforced. My parents made me describe each part of the Law and Oath in great depth. When we reached Brave and Clean, I was starting to slip up. And then we reached Reverent.
Boy Scouts expects everyone to believe in some sort of god, and be straight. Gays and Aethiests have been kicked out in the past. And since Boy Scouts is a private thing, government can't interfere. People have tried to sue and lost the case. Now, I want to keep scouting. I love being a Boy Scout. Plus, it'll look good on my job application forms when I'm old enough that it won't be against child labor laws. =P So my options are:
a) Quit scouting (I don't want to. Really.)
b) Believe in a god (I'm not going to change my beliefs because of this. It's not in human nature.
c) Lie about my religion (Also against the Scout Oath. Not good.)
So obviously, I'm screwed. What should I do? It's putting so much pressure on me...
I'm so glad you asked this question.I'm a Christian,and please don't just blow me off because i said that,you said you respect other people's beliefs.So anyways,instead of lying or "pretending" why don't you take this whole athiest issue into deep thought.If you dont mind that I ask,could you explain to me why you dont believe in God or why you are athiest?Im almost positive I'll be able to help.
trust me you haven't changed my "religious veiws" if you're gonna believe in something you're gonna put your whole life into it so you better have proof to back you up abd proove others wrong,am i right?No, there's no official proof like a video or something, and you have to understand that believeing in God means putting your trust in Him and believeing that God is,was,and is to come...God always was..Thats all I can tell you.But could you answer my quesion and prooove that there is no God?
