My friend is a health nut and she told me she was taking vinegar for her health. Now, I thought that was weird but when I started talking to her about it she basically sounded like it was the best thing ever. She says it is good for SO many different things that I am having a hard time believing her. Does anyone here know what the benefits of apple cider vinegar are? As in proven results?
man, thats silly. cider vinegar is great on salads. its probably got some antioxidants in it or some hippy crap like that, but seriously, its not that big of a change from regular vinegar.
but I will tell you, using cider vinegar and olive oil as your salad dressing is a helluva lot healthier than using that nasty supermarket mayo crap.
most of those "This _____ is the best thing ever" health bills are just a bunch of crap that people use to sell their product to yuppies

Hi,I'm 13/f,and I'm a vegan/vegetarian.I've been one for some years now.But there's only one problem. My parents hate it.My mom said my doctor said that's not healthy for me,cause I need the protein, but she doesn't wanna hear the other ways I can get protein, while still remaining vegan. My dad just flat out says no,without hearing me out.I'm also a Peta supporter. How do I tell them, and get them to hear me out,and agree with me?
I agree with the chaos fellow, but must add:
they are adamant about this because animal protein is extremely efficient. sure, tofu kicks ass, but if you pull back and look at it, your chosen diet is going to require that you eat significantly more plant protein by weight than you would animal protein to attain the same effects. here's a reccomendation: if you can't get them to agree with your vegan transition, try something a little less extreme, one perhaps that you can share with them, like pescatarian, or ovo-lacto. do you have any idea how hard it is to shop for a family when one member eats an entirely different diet? convince them to go on a fish-only diet with you. fish is nutritious, inexpensive, and closer to your goal. then, as soon as everybody settles into that, start introducing whey protein into your diet, slowly replacing fish. if you do so gradually, then they'll probably accept it. then, once you're out of the house, do whatever you please. but be advised, all of the herbivorous folk I have met in my ventures have been weak and sickly. Hope everything works out for you

I have adjusted my diet to be hopefully more nutritious as I exercise. I also started consuming small portions of African Mengos since I had heard they help you burn body fat. My problem is, I am still sore two to three days after a workout. I consume about 80 grams of protein everyday. Is the consumption of Mengo and protein counter-productive?
I concur with the dude below. when you're working out, assign certain days to specific muscle groups, ie: monday-arms &chest tuesday- cardio wednesday- Back thursday- cardio friday-shoulders &legs. your abs recover quickly, so you can work them nearly every day.
You need to increase the amount of protein you're eating every day. I dunno how big you are, but when I was working out, I'd eat about 750g of meat/fish a day, and drink a two-scoop protein shake after every workout(I'm 6'1" 185 lbs.). Start looking at your food as fuel and construction materials for your body, cut the fatty nasty garbage out, and start plussing up on proteins, fruits, and veggies.
good luck

hi all. i am 20m amd is currently trying to loose some weight. but i like beanut butter in my daily routine with sandwiches(brown bread). now some people say that its not very fatty in nature but some say that natural peanut butter is actually goo fat but the processed ones which we get in jars is bad. please help my confused situation. and if you think that packed ones are bad but natural ones are good then please tell me and also tell me what is exactly natural peanut butter and how is it made. and if it is way too fatyy in nature then please do tell me so too so i shoul omit it from my diet for a few weeks.
please help friends.
its a start. the most important parts to losing weight, are proper hydration, diet, and excercise. if you're dehydrated, you're going to store fat, so drink lots of water, even when you're not thirsty, you should have to piss every two to three hours, and make sure its clear. try eating six times a day, small portions, it will speed up your metabolism. and if the bread's whole grain, it will make your body work harder to digest. Cardiovascular excercises will burn fat, so pick up running, or get on a bike.

Hey iam 17 female and iam thinking about becoming a vegetarian and I was wondering what kind of foods are out there for vegetarians besides vege's.
pretty much everything except meat. try going to one of those whole food hippie stores, besides having a great selection of crazy ass beans, fake jerky, and tea, they'll have books on their herbivorous habit.
by the by, why go vegetarian? meat is so much more efficient and tasty. though I must say, split pea soup is friggin delicious, I can't understand y'all's need to abandon the path of moderation.
enjoy the fruit leather(its great!),

Hi, I'm fourteen, 5"7 and weigh about 140 pounds.
I know this is only a little overweight, but I'd like to lose about ten pounds by the summer.
I don't mind if this is really steady (say a pound a week or something) but I'm having real trouble losing the weight.
Anyway, what I'd like to ask is can you guys please give me some advice on how to resist snacking and/or how to lose a pound or so a week?
Thanks so much xoxoxox
STOP EATING EVERYTHING YOU SEE. eat only celery and beef. I lost over 40 pounds doing this. but it also involved lots of vodka on the side.
