about

Hello, how are you? I hope you're fine but if you're not then just ask and I'll see what I can do.
I'm a 17 yr-old girl.I live in Wales,Britain so I'd be good for an outsider's view.I'm studying for my A-levels in History,English Lit,Media Studies and Welsh.I play the cello and I'm in a whole bunch of orchestras, and a choir or two. I'm an OXFAM volunteer and I'm looking for paid work to fund university this Autumn.

The picture on this column is obviously not a picture of me, it is my avatar from Spacefem.com.

I'm bisexual and I have a boyfriend, so questions about coming out or dating are fine by me. I live with both parents and my younger brother and sister so i know quite a lot about family dynamics.

I'm very open-minded and I'll try to answer as best I can. Basically you can ask me qestions on pretty much anything.

I hope you're all doing OK.

anyone know a good recipe for a low-fat fruit smoothie. not something you just got off google though. something yummmmy :D

Mango tropical
1) Blend ice cubes into lumps in the smoothie maker.
2)Peel and stone one ripe mango.
3)Blend a few slices of pineapple and the mango together.
4)Add some orange juice.
5)If you want then you can also add some low fat peach melba yoghurt.

This is a rich but comparatively healthy and deliciouse smoothie.

do pop tarts qualify more as a "breakfast" or "junk food"? i'm aiming for breakfast here, don't let me down.

I'm not entirely sure what pop tarts (they're not very popular in Britain) are but from the sound of it they wouldn't be the most healthy of breakfasts. cereal bars are similar and probably better for you but fruit is still your best bet.

What's the big deal about organic foods? Are they really better for you, or do people just feel better about buying them? And what on earth makes a food like rice organic? The rice was talked to nicely and allowed to roam freely throughout its life? help me out, I don't get it.

Organic foods are those grown without pesticides or herbicides. It's different from free range etc.

It's better for the environment and, not proven but likely to be, better for you as you are not ingesting poisonous chemicals when you eat organic.

I'm making "Day of the Dead Bread" for Spanish class, and it's due tomorrow. I was just wondering, is it ok to let the bread rise for more than the allotted time (it says about 1 -1/2 hours)? My mom and my aunt think it's ok if you go a little over, as long as you don't go under the rising time. Just wanting to know, as it's handy information.

It's fine as long as you don't let it spill over the sides of the tin in the oven a create a horrible gooey mess which then bakes solid...

I'm a girl, and I kinda like to bake stuff, because hey, it means I get desert. My question is this: I work with all guys. If I bake cookies or something and bring them into work, are the guys going to stop feeling like I'm "one of them" and start seeing me as this betty crocker homemaker type? We're all pretty laid back now, on the same level and everything, I don't want it to get weird.

What do you work as? If you're a shop assistant or something then it's quite an easy image to get.

If you do bake stuff then don't broadcast the fact that you made it.Just don't make a big deal of it and they probably won't.

What's the best thing to mix with vodka?

'Cranberry and rasberry' juice mixed with pulpy orange juice.Preferably on the rocks.

Not that I would know what that tastes like being under 17 years of age...

Which is better, brownies made from brownie mix or brownies made from scratch?

Never had Brownies made from brownie mix, never had any that aren't made either by my dad or to his recipe.(His brownies are about to take over the world)

Making them from scratch is probably better because you have more control over the quality of the ingredients but Brownie mix is easier if more expensive.
