I only joined this because I realized that all of my friends come to me for advice. I have two gifts: the gift of gab, and the gift of brutal honesty. I am trying to remember that there is a difference between brutal honesty and bitchiness. I am really cute, relatively intelligent, and sort of funny, so I think I am in at least the top 25 percent of the general population of humans. My advice might be the stuff you don't want to hear, but it is probably the stuff that you need to know.

I'm completely single! Thanks for the compliment! My aunt lives in Ohio..uh...but that would be creepy if I moved there for you. So I won't.

Hey,

Right, so I had been going out with my girlfriend for 8 months and recently I told her that I needed some space and I was'nt sure if I loved her any more. She still really loves me and wants to get back together but I don't know what to do. If we do get back together and it doesn't work out she will just keep getting hurt which is not something I want.

I really like her as a friend but honestly don't know if I feel anuthing more than than for her any more.

Any advice is more than welcome,
Thanks in advance. (link)
The worst thing you can ever do to someone who loves you is lead them on. I know you don't want to hurt her, but if you lead her to believe there might be a chance of things working out in the future, she will just hope and pray and pine away for you. Cut the cord so she can get on with her life.

I am female, 23 years old and my boyfriend 22. After almost 2 years of relationship, my boyfriend called me ugly. What can I do or what can I say? (link)
Well, before you destroy his heart (which you should at least consider), ask him why he thinks that. Ask him what has changed in the past two years to cause him to think something so negatively about you?

Clearly this is a problem, and it's probably bigger than you want it to be. It sounds like the beginning of the end. You had better get to the root of the problem before your relationship goes spiraling into the toilet.

We'll i have been going out with this girl britney for about four months, but we have been talking for a little over three years. We'll me and her dad ahve become great friends and talk, and sometimes we even hang out with out britney there. Just chill like some sweet ass dude's. lol, we are cool. We'll i have only seen her mom a few times because she is a nurse and is barely ever home. she seems kind of ignorant, but yeah. and we'll personally i think she hates my guts!! when i'm there and she comes home she never says hi or anything to me she just ignores me. sometimes i try to make conversation and stuff, but i just keep thinking she hates me!! what do i do? (link)
Keep, keep, keep, keep talking to her mother. Seriously. The more she gets to know you, the more she will open up. Remember, parents can be a little protective of their children, ESPECIALLY their daughters. The key is be genuinely interested in her as a person. Ask her questions about her job. Ask her if she has favorite patients. Ask what made her want to be a nurse. Ask her anything you can, and look and act interested in what she has to say. Chances are, she only knows you as some kid who could potentially be destroying her daughter. So just talk to her.

This might be long, but please read and help. My boyfriend broke up with me a month ago. He was my first real boyfriend and we learned so much from eachother. I lost my virginity to him, and we had more great times than bad. He said the relationship wasn't the same and needed to start focusing on himself. It was a complete shock to my heart. We hadn't talked for weeks, but finally I made the first move and called him. I wanted to just catch up and see if maybe we could be friends. He seemed up for it and we hung out together. The only thing he seemed to want was sex and he was just being mean to me. He was never like that before. I held my own, but I'm even more hurt. I just can't seem to let him go no matter what. I wake up depressed and go to bed depressed. I can't believe that this boy has control over my happiness. Is there anyway you can be friends with someone you had a really intense relationship with? How do I even go about moving on? Nothing is working. (link)
Le sigh. The first boyfrend. The first sexual partner. I am sorry to tell you this because I know your pain, EXACTLY, but alas, it's the truth. Chances are that you will never be friends, especially since this breakup is so incredibly painful. The worse the breakup, the less likely the chance that you will ever be friends.

There are no simple answers for moving on, either. In fact, you're essentially screwed until your brain SLOWLY begins to realize that you can function without him. Some people get over it in a day, others a week, others take years, and some people live with broken hearts for their entire lives. Just do the things that have always made you happy (hanging out with buddies, singing, painting, whatever it is that your passion was prior to him).

My bf is the owner and chef of a small cafe in town. I've been hearing stories from two of the waitresses that work for him that he is a complete jerk to work for. One of them told me that once he threw something and yelled "how many times do I have to show you"! He will scream and holler at them in front of all the customers if they screw up an order when it's busy. One time I went in to talk to one of the waitresses and he yelled "no talking while your working"! I was so embarrassed for her that I left. I heard he also said once "I would fire you if I wasnt' friends with you" to another worker. My concern is if he has this much anger at his work that he could turn it on me. Should I get out? (link)
Don't get out. At least, not over that.
Why?
Well, Rule Number One, of course!!

Rule Number One states that if someone has a high-stress (or just plain bad) job, it is extremely possible, in fact, highly likely, that they have two personalities.
Work personality.
Home personality.
These personalities may be drastically different, and they are in no way related.

Don't worry about it.
If you are embarassed about the way he treats his employees, don't go into his cafe. If you feel bad about it, or he asks why you aren't going, just tell him that you aren't comfortable mixing personal and work life.

omg my boyfriend of 9 months broke up with me 3 days ago and i cant eat and i cant freakin sleep!! and everytime I think of him I get nautious(sp) Im home sick today so I dont see him and I cant cry infront of him but I was about to yesterday!! so I have two questions!!

1) HOW CAN I GET OVER HIM!?
2) HOW CAN I MAKE HIM WANT ME BACK?! (without going out with another guy!)

PLEASE HELP ME! (link)
You want the truth? Or, you want some lame "oh, just make him jealous and he'll want you back" type of answer.

'Cause here's the truth.

1.) You can't get over him. Not yet. Heartache/break is terrible and there is absolutely nothing you can do to fix it. Just keep living your life and try to stay busy. That's absolutely all you can do.
2.) You can't make anyone do anything. Ever. He ended it. He probably won't want you back. But let's say he did. Let's say for some reason or another he decided to get back together with you. Would it be worth it? This is the guy that already broke your heart once. If someone is going to do something that horrible to you, they are never worth getting back.
