these few things will help you improve - but yes pratice makes perfect!
work on your diaphram -
stand up totally straight - then bend over so that your back is completley flat ( like a table) if you want - you can use a wall to stablize yourself. then sing a note that you know you can hit. being in this position forces you to sing from your diaphram - and then you will know what it feels like.
improve your range -
well first if you learn to properly breath your range will almost instantly get slightly bigger - and the rest comes from pratice -
sing a song thats "belty" a la christina aguleria perhaps? and after enough time - you'll be able to hit the notes. I've found that if you record yourself - you can hear exactly what your doing wrong- and then work on that particular area.
this will all strengthen your voice over time.
dont drink cold water - its best to have it at room temperature
hope i helped!
best of luck!

i really enjoy singing and i want improve
i think i do some things wrong.
-first of all i am trying to breathe out of my diaphram, but i don't really understand how to do so...
-i want to improve my range, and i'm wondering if there is anything i can do to work on this? and i really want to learn how to sing runs and belt out songs
-also my voice is kind of weak and cracks at times and i'm wondering if there are any ways to strengthen it
-and my throat often hurts and i get really tired after singing a song and i don't think this is normal
so if anybody knows any ways to fix these problems or can find out any information, please let me know because i'd really like to improve! (link)

"I can love you like no one can, I can be your Superman." It's sort of a new song. I think it is r&b or slow rap. I need to know the name of the song and by who. Thanks =] (link)

So I need to find a good female duet soon. Nothing from RENT or Wicked though because everyone does a song from that. It's for a Soprano and an Alto. Just 2 girls, no guys. Any suggestions would be AMAZING! (link)

I've been singing for about 7 years now, and I think it's time I started taking voice lessons. My mom insists that I have no natural talent. She's only heard me once, and at the time, I was so nervous that I didn't sound good. My mom said that if I had natural talent, then it would show up when I was a little kid. However, my choir teacher tells me I'm an incredible singer, and she's the type that never lies to make someone feel good. When I was a little kid, my chest voice wasn't so great and I didn't know how to use my head voice. I'm 13 right now, and a mezzo-soprano (though I have almost a three octave range). So do you have to be talented as a little kid to be a talented singer? (link)
|
you in no way need to have "amazing talent" as a kid in order to sing well as a teenager - and if you have a three octave range at 13 ... then yoiu have pretty good talent as it is - and your still a kid ... - take voice lessons and hone your talent ... NO OFFENSE but it sounds like your mom is kinda ...putting you down for no reason ... i have this problem too. I always sounf terrible for my mom - shes my worst critic - but i've learned to ignore it. Its just one of those things that comes with age. -
I'll look foward to buying a CD with your name on it someday - good luck

The song "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" by Panic! at the Disco came on the radio today and I noticed that they beeped out the word "God." Why is that? Is God not supposed to be on the radio? (link)

i have an iPod shuffle and an iRiver (n10-103). i have to let go of one...
the iRiver has 8 hours of music
the iPod shuffle fits 120 songs (assuming each songs was about four minutes, that's 8 hours of music)...but i heard that the 8 hours of music thing was a lie (?!!)
the iRiver is black
the iPod shuffle is white
the iRiver costs more
the iRiver has an LCD screen, radio, and supports voice recording
they're both flash mp3 players
which one should i keep?
*i'm kind of leaning towards the iRiver, but my brother has an iPod and keeps on singing its praises.
i also think (against my will) that i'm also being a bit swayed by iPod's marketing... the iPod has a reputation, and apple is famous...
also... i live in korea, where EVERYONE has the iriver n10...and it's fricking annoying. i'd like a more unique-looking mp3 player...but it's a pity that with the ipod shuffle you can't view songtitles.. :( (link)

christ dont be mean! i know what an ipod and and ipod shuffle both are you jackass! i was saying keep the IPOD SHUFFLE. i typed the whole thing insted of being lazy ... there are some people who dont have any MP3 players so if you dont want to be nice about your little problems when poeple try to help then dont ask !!!
