I have a question for anyone that might know, preferably somebody who knows from experience. How much does it cost to get an ambulance to come pick you up? Will the people who run the ambulance be able to help me or do they need to take me to the hospital? I guess overall what I really need to know just in case it is how much does an ambulance ride cost? Does it vary or is there pretty much a set price? I have been having some problems but I don't know if I can afford to go. Can anybody help me?

It depends on where you are from. Here in New Brunswick Canada it is $130.00. It use to be free but people started to abuse it and they put a price on it. If you have insurance you will get the $130.00 back. They will send you a bill.

If you call they will come and check you out to see if you are serious enough to go with them.. if you are able to go to the hospital without needing the service of the ambulance it's best to do so. but it really depends on where youare living for the price range.

(Rating: 5) Thank you for your answer! What I found out is that when you need emergency transportation, it doesn't matter what it costs! I waited too long and had to be life flighted to the hospital. My mom said I was being penny wise and pound foolish whatever that means.

Oh, and before I forget don't ever complain about the price of your ambulance service! I found out after the fact that a 10 mile ride in the ambulance here is between 1300 and $1500! So you would pay 10 times or more less. I hope you never need an ambulance, but if you do boy are you lucky! :-)
