" If you like someone, just go for it."

Hey, i'm April. I'm 17 and live in Indiana. On September 2nd 2009 I had mt lovely daughter Avril Jane. Being a mom is not as hard as everyone always says it is. I have been dating my wonderful boyfrendd Jarrod since Sept. 28, 2008. I'm pretty relaxed and I love to help people!

advice

my cat had to go to the pet hospital for something, and during the exam the doctor said that she had gingivitis. the pet hospital visit alone was $400, and i cannot afford to treat my cats gingivitis.

my question is, is there anything i can do to help her myself? could i start brushing her teeth? i cant change the food she eats but anything else? i read online that if it gets too bad it can cause huge problems like organ failure.

thanks!

My cat oliver had Gingivitis and we had to buy a special cat toothbrush and toothpaste. NEVER use human toothpaste on animals!! If the Gingivitis is in an early stage the plaque will be soft and can be brushed off. They also make crunchy cat treats to help remove tartar plaque build-up. If the Gingivitis is bad and the soft plaque has turned to a hard crust then the only thing that can really help is for the vet to remove the hardened plaque.
