Why on earth can't I figure out how to make ctrl+b bold things on Firefox? I've looked everywhere online but can't find anything about how to get it to work. Is this a problem for anyone else? Anyone got a solution, by chance?

You can't. Firefox is a web browser. Web browsers allow you to view pages, not edit them.

Text boxes, such as the ones used to ask/answer questions on Advicenators, only hold raw text. No formatting is allowed. It is possible to make a text box which holds formatting, but this can only be done by the person who made the website, and it's rather difficult for them to do. Firefox only follows the instructions of the web designer.

Instead of formatting, you can use *asterisks* for emphasis and _underscores_ for underlines and strong emphasis.

(Rating: 3) No. There are add-ons and stuff. I know it's possible, in things such as email boxes and xanga boxes, where you CAN edit them. I just can't find the add on... Thanks for trying though
