i sort of dropped my laptop, less than 6 inches, onto the floor (but it landed on its bottom). one side hit before the other, and the other side i had a grip on so it didnt hit very hard, or even at all.
now when i try to turn it on a blue screen shows up saying that the system has recovered from a serious error.
any ideas on what may have happened or what i can do to fix it?
Some of the hardware (probably the hard drive) is damaged. Take it to a computer repair place. Don't turn it on anymore or you risk losing data.
