The disk drive on my computer keeps repeatedly ejecting. Every time I close it, it'll eject again. What's the deal?
The button that you push to open it, I know that you're supposed to use that button to close it again, but on this computer (it's a Vista, if that means anything) the button folds down when the drive's open. So to close it, I've just been pushing it in.
Sorry if that didn't make any sense.
Any idea what the problem could be? And if it's fixable?

If the problem isn't fixed after the first restart, it's probably something wrong with drive itself. Turn off your computer, open it up, and unplug both sides of every cable that comes out of the disk drive. Then plug them back in. That will ensure a proper connection.
If that doesn't work, I would try the drive in another computer to make sure it's the drive that's causing the problem. If it happens on another computer (or doesn't happen with another drive), I would replace the drive. If it doesn't happen on another computer, I would guess it's some sort of driver issue. Reinstalling Windows will probably fix it; if it doesn't it's a hardware incompatibility and I would just get a new drive.

Thanks. I restarted and was about to try a new drive when I bumped into the disk drive while it was opening and closing. It just happened to knock it back onto its track. So, it was just human error on my part probably pushing down too hard or something. Silly me haha. Thank you for answering. =]
