I don't understand why people have so much faith in me. They tell me that I'll make a team or that guy will go out with me but when it comes around for that stuff I didn't make the team or that guy acutally had the crush on girl who told me. Is it their confidence? I know i lack in that area and if it is b/c of their confidence i am glad to lack because i would never want to keep being put down like that i understand that it's not on purpose but still why do people say such reasuring things? People say stuff like that because they honestly believe it is true. Their confidence probably does have something to do with it, but it doesn't mean they are lying to you. I don't think they mean to put you down either. Think about this, when you get a good grade on a hard test or you find out some awesome news that you want to share with someone, aren't you in a really good mood, and happy. Well happiness is contagious, and maybe they are happy about something in their life and are basically rubbing the happiness onto you. And honestly life is so short to constantly be angry or upset or have no faith in yourself.
I understand what you mean about lacking confidence, we all feel that way at sometimes, but sometimes when you lack it it shows. Maybe that boy wanted to ask you out and by feeling unconfident and unsure of yourself you portrayed that you werent interested in him. Life basically evolves around the Law of Attraction. Why do you think those people that build you up make you feel good about yourself. You like being around them b/c they are fun and nice. The world may be unfair and ruled by"pretty" people but moreover, the world is ruled by people who are a joy to be around. IF you walk around with a sticker that says "Screw life" people won't want to be around you.
But I don't think those people say things just to make you feel bad or look stupid, I say stuff like that to people, b/c I honestly do believe they are good people and deserve to have good things happen to them.
I honestly don't know you, but I believe in you and I also want good things to happen to you, b/c that is just the way I am. I am a happy person for 2 reasons: 1.) God is in my life and 2.) life is too short to cry and get angry about the things we can't change. And for me to complain about an unfair world, I'm just making it suck more, rather then trying to change at least one place for the better.
Did I make sense to you? What it all comes down to is to just live your life fully and richly, and say a kind word to someone who looks up to you. There is too much negativity in the world so when you get a chance to make something better, do good. Just do good in the world. :)
The way to be confident, is to only focus on the positive things in yourself rather then stripping out the negative. Next time you feel worthless or something focus on something good that just happened to you. That will make all the difference.
