Q: So I work at this small store where there is the cashier(me) and my boss. (obv. there are other workers who take over the register after my shift, but when its your shift its just you and the boss) Well anyways..I am only 16 and I feel that my boss is acting inappropriatly towards me to an extent that I am seriously thinking about quitting my job. He has two sides to him, a major jerk and a sketchball. Every single day he also goes on about how I cant remember a price, that i "day dream", how something wasent properly stocked (even if I never touched that particular side of the store that day) or how i didn't do something just because I wasent told to. Apparently he expects me to "think ahead" and read his mind on exactly what needs to be done. Now his other side is creepy. He will call me babydoll, massage my shoulders when i walk by him, tell me im pretty or look nice today, or stare at me in a sick way almost. He even brought me homemade foods. I feel really uncomfortable about his pet names and his touching. It scares me and I feel like I can't stand up to him..i'm that scared. So, my question is...am I over reacting..or should I quit?
Creepy side is sexual harrassment, if you consider it as that. Remember, it is only sexual harrassment if you think of it as that. If you are uncomfortable, politely tell him to stop, and if he doesn't you have the okay to inform higher authority. Other side is mere pain-in-the-ass-ness, which is not a federal crime like sexual harrassment, but is fairly annoying. Just do as he says, and leave it alone. But if you are really bothered, get another job with a better boss.

Hey, I saw your feedback. I would say yes, this is the right thing to do, and if he ever touched you inappropriately (butt smacking, stroking, etc.) you can even file a suit. You don't have to go in on Monday and Tuesday, unless he already paid you for this month, where I would suggest you just work for those two days (check your contract to see if you really need to give 2-week notice)

Thanks. And I quit today. It was the last straw..he called my aunt king kong...what kind of boss says that you know? So he is like you have to give me two weeks notice..he wants me in on monday and tuesday. I dont want to at all.. Do you think this is the right thing to do?

Happy 2008! My name is Dana for those of you who don't know, and I obviously love to give advice, because if I didn't, I wouldn't be here. I will pick at anyone who doesn't bother to capitalize their "I"'s or the beginnings of sentences. Proper grammar and spelling is very important to me. bcuz it Just loooks soooo sloppie when u type lyke this. So a word to the wise, and for the majority of you that it doesn't apply to, think about it, and watch yourself. Second of all, I will never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever write something that is not true. So therefore I am always right. So stand down and accept it. (Note: that also means that my "opinions" are actual facts. At least the ones I bother to write.)

Never ask me anything about how fat you are or love life. Cliched, I know, but I am heartless when it comes to the truth. If you don't know what to do with your cheating boyfriend that you still love, go ask someone else since I could not care less. Seriously.

Have a nice day!
Love,

WARNING:
My answers will be based on a preppy lifestyle. I am the clean, preppy sort, like the person who looks clean and classy and doesn't really notice anyone who isn't, regardless that some weirdos think that preppy people hate them. Also, if you wonder about the corrections on the answers I give, no worries; they're just simple corrections to those who don't know where to put a period, or that they have to capitalize the beginnings of sentences. Please don't be offended.
