I really need to start taking my own advice.
advice
I really want to be known (in a good way) ...like know everyone,be friends with them..but the thing is,i've lost my self.i dont know what to say or do,im just locked up.i need a re-vamp on my style and personality. so i want to know, what are some good ways become more outgoing, what are some stores that i can mix and match from (to create a new style) and how can i meet more people (i feel like everyone hates me)
People tell me all the time that they're jealous of me having so many friends, but the thing is, its sucks cause I don't have a few CLOSE friends that I can trust.
But here you go:
-Be outgoing, talk to anyone and everyone.
-Don't worry about sterotypes, just talk, smile, laugh.
-Don't be afraid to say something funny, but don't over do it either.
-If someone says something nasty about you, brush it off, don't let it get to you.
-Be confident, smile, let people know you're happy with who you are, what your wearing, and what you say.
-Don't share your problems with everyone (complaining)
-Keep people secrets, resist the urge to blab.
-Complement people often, but be sincere when you do.
-Don't lie to fit in, either.
As for your style, this is what I do.
For a while I was stuck in the HCO, and A&F phase, labels were everything. I just looked like a wannabee so heres how I deal now:
I take shirts, tops, acessories, pants, skirts, etc. that I buy from stores like JCPenny's, Khols, and Target, and add flare to them by adding in a select piece from a more designer, expensive store.
Also, stores like Ross, TJMaxx, and Marshalls have super cute HIGH FASHION (major designers) stuff for amazingly cheap. I get Ralph Lauren Polos there and American Rag jeans for under $20 all the time, I love those places.
Be creative with your style, everything doesn't HAVE to match perfectly, just coordinate with each other. But don't put stripes, smiley faces, and polka dots all in one, thats just tacky.
Be confident in what you wear, labels aren't everything. Make sure each piece you select compliments your body in a positive way, don't just purchase the item for it's label.
Stay confident and have fun! :)
