Hey. Well I'm 14/f and I'm a freshman in highschool, and a little nervouse. Today was my first day and I only talked to a few people and didn't really make friends. I have friends who go to the school but they aren't in my classes or lunch and I want to make new friends as well. None of my friends are in my lunch, and I'm not really a good conversation starter, so I was wondering if I should just sit at a table with a group of people I don't know and start talking to them? What should I say? And I want to talk to this girl in my Spanish class because she seems nice, but I don't know if we can talk in class and I don't even sit near her. I was wondering about starting up a conversation and talking to her after class, but again, I don't know what to say. Also, if anyone could give me great conversation tips and how to make friends in highschool and to be less nervous I would really appreciate it to the fullest. I know I sound really paranoid, but I get like that sometimes. Thanks!

Rule number one: ALWAYS BE YOURSELF

And if you want to start a conversation, you can either think up something random or look and notice something and try to work off that. You drop your pencil, go to pick it up, you notice she has the same shoes as one of your friends or something. Then, bam. Conversation -__-
