I have very curly hair and i dont know what else to do with it. I like it curly more than i do straight. Its a few inches past my shoulders and its in short layers like only 4 or 5 layers...do u have any ideas? (link)
don't worry honey, you'll have great curls if you care for them!
here are some tips:
1. Get a trim if you have split ends

2. Don't shampoo everyday try once a week (shampoo dries out the hair, and curly hair is usually drier than straight hair because the scalp's natural oils slide down straight hair easier than curly)

3. If your hair is thick, use a creamy thick conditioner, if it's fine, use a more watery one.

4. A lot of curlies don't use products with silicones because they coat the hair and need to be removed with a sulfate shampoo (sulfate is in most shampoos) Since most curlies don't shampoo everyday, build up could occur quicker if they use silicones. (silicones are ingredients that end in cone or xane. some are water-soluble go here for more info about ingredients in hair products: http://naturallycurly2.com/curlcolumns/articles.php?id=326 )

5. Do a deep conditioning treatment every week or every month depending on how dry your hair is. I use conditioner, olive oil, shea butter, and honey mixed together and heated in a microwave.
Then i leave it on for hours sometimes overnight.

6. PLEASE DON'T STRAIGHTEN YOUR HAIR! IT DRIES IT OUT. HEAT STYLING IS BAD FOR YOUR HAIR! if you must blow dry, use a diffuser. (i use the cold setting when diffusing)

7. Visit www.naturallycurly.com this site has really helped me love my hair more! I hope that you do find out how to care for your beautiful curls, you're very lucky to have them ♥
