I have been with my boyfriend for 5 months. I like him alot and want to spend time with him. He on the other hand likes to spend alot of time alone. I wouldn't see for a week or longer and I was starting to get really sad. I asked him about it and he said that while he loves me, he just needs time to himself. I told him that I needed to spend time with him and go out and stuff and he agrred to see me more often.
I want to feel connected to him, but he wants to go home everytime I start to feel happy and start to feel connected to him. He won't spend the night. I know he is NOT cheating and he only works part time. All of his friends say that he has always been like this. I am afraid that there I will get to a point where I want more than he is willing to give me. He is great to me otherwise and we have a wonderful time whenever we are together. I know we haven't been together that long, I just am not sure what to do.
Some people just need space. It sounds like you don't, so maybe you should arrange to just be friends.

The first time we talked after after we hadn't been seeing each other, I thought about ending it. He got really upset when I suggested it and said that was NOT what he wanted.
