Im so scared ive had this little lump on my head under neath my hair for about a year now.. its where i burnt my head with hair straightners its the size of about nail head the nails you hammer in to wood and stuff. Its hard its not squishy so it cant b a spot!! its red aswell and im scared in case it might be cancer i told my mum about it and she just said oh it will go away!! anyone have an idea what it is? I RATE 5 ***** IF YOU HELP ME PLEASE IM SO SCARED!!
It could be a sort of cyst- this is where a slight infection fills with fluid to form a lump. The head is apparently a fairly common place to get them. If it is a cyst then your doctor wil know exactly what to do- if it is fairly small then they'll probably leave it, or they may drain it if they feel the need.
