Can you tell me this? Why is it when you roll a ball down a...half pipe shaped thing, the ball slowly is stopped by certain forces right. Well, why is that when theres an equal ammount of gravity helping the ball down, as there is preventing it from going up. Why doesn't the ball continue to roll back and forth forever untill stopped?

There are some other factors such as wind resistance and friction. Mass and volume of the ball play a role also.
