One of my best guy friends, Rob, is being really stupid and immature for lame reasons. Every time I start liking another guy and think of maybe dating him, Rob starts getting really distant and annoyed even if I don't do anything or talk about the other guy. If I so much as have a conversation with a guy that doesn't really hang out with our group much, he starts avoiding me and giving me the silent treatment. I'm 15 and a really independent girl so I normally don't put up with this crap typically but apart from his jealousy, he's extrememly fun to hang out with. But this is getting really old. Can you give me some advice on what I can do……or if I should do anything?
Rob likes you, and is being overprotective. This gets annoying FAST. If you like him, now is the time to say so. If you don't, then now is the time to tel him that he is a great friend, but he needs to back off because you can take care of yourself.
(Rating: 5) Thanks! I kind of already knew that he likes me and I don't really like him back in that way…it's just frustrating trying to have a conversation and have fun while your good friend ignores you for his insecurities. But thanks, I think I will tell him that.
