I am getting obssesed with the idea of commiting suicide. I am not a teenage girl by the way, I am a 40 year old bysiness man. I take pills so that I can sleep at night but i just wont help but anyways I dont want to bitch about my life. I just dont want to think about killing myself anymore.it is always there, the thought. Crazy thoughts, how to do it, will it hurt, make a big fuss and....that is all.

Okay. Believe it or not, most Americans have experienced depression in their lives at one point or another. I'm not saying that this is normal, though.
It is hard to help you because you did not mention your job situation [what education and job experience do you have?], your marital status, or your living arrangements [do you live alone, with your parents, with a friend?], but I will try my best to help you.
I suggest the following things. First of all, post your resume on online websites such as monster.com and craigslist.com. Then look through newspapers and call for information about jobs that interest you. You are bound to get a job by doing this.
There are many reasons as to why you are depressed [I am assuming that you suffer from depression]. One, your job situation, which I already covered. Two, your marital status. Three, your physical appearance.
If you are suicidal because you have not found someone to love yet, it's alright. Not everyone in this world gets married. Most people who get married these days get divorced anyways, according to statistics. So please do not let that bring you down. If you want children, then you can always adopt a child, but you should have a steady job and living situation beforehand.
If you are suicidal because you view yourself as ugly, make changes. Try out a new clothing style, get a haircut, go on a diet, exercise more, etc. You could even wear some make-up [not noticeable make-up, though, unless you are okay with appearing homosexual].
I really hope that you realise how serious suicide is. It affects everyone, including you and your future. According to a few religions, you would go to Hell for eternity for committing suicide. Your family and friends would be devastated and feel guilty. You may think that you don't have any friends, but I know that you do.
There are 5 things that I truly believe will help you become at least a little happier. Exercising regularly, eating healthily, sleeping sufficiently, setting aside time every day for something you enjoy doing, and having faith. If you are not religious, consider converting to a religion. These 5 things are sure to help you become more optimistic.

If you are younger than 16:
-mow lawns
-babysit
-petsit
-ask your parents for an allowance [or a higher allowance] in exchange for more responsibilities
-wash cars [with an adult present]
-rake leaves
-ask for money for Christmas and your birthday
-sell old things online [ebay]
-have a lemonade/soda stand
-walk neighbors' dogs
If you are 16 or older:
-turn in applications to restaurants and stores
-do everything listed above
I hope I helped. If you are not 16 years old yet, finding a job will be hard. I know some 15 year olds who have jobs, though. But if you are 13 or 14, your opportunities to make more money are limited.

You shouldn't download limewire. If you download one song, you can be sued for $10,000. Imagine what downloading 10 or 100 songs would cost.
Just buy the songs on iTunes. Not only will you stay legal and safe, you'll also learn how to manage your money [seriously] by only buying songs you really like, not every single song you've ever heard.
And yes, Limewire, Kazaa, and all of those programs cause viruses.

You should ask him to dance with you. It isn't weird for girls to ask guys to dance. And if you don't do it because you're nervous, maybe now you know what most guys go through.

I have been in your situation twice, and I must say that keeping your hopes up seems impossible.
The second time I was depressed is when I realised that, no matter how hard things get, things will eventually get better. If you're having problems related to school, they will go away once you graduate. If you're having problems related to a job, you should try to find a new one. If you're having problems with parents, know that you won't live with them forever. It takes time to get happy, but here are a fiew tips to cheering up. One, get support from family and friends. Two, exercise regularly, eat healthily, and get an adequate amount of sleep. Three, if you are religious, pray. Four, talk to a counselor. Keep in mind that whatever you are going through WILL pass. You will not be depressed forever. Roughly 60% of people have been depressed before, so it is not uncommon to be depressed.
Remember that drugs, alcohol, sex, eating disorders, suicide, and harming yourself in any way can not and will not make you happy.

I don't know if this is like a MO thing or what. But my teachers tell me that if I don't do well on my senior project I won't graduate high school. This being because I will fail Government without the project and Government is a requried class. I was just wondering if this is true and they won't let me graduate on time if I happen to not do so well on the project... (link)

They're trying to scare you. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I assume that every senior at your school last year graduated, except maybe the occassional person who skipped class every day.
Do you think every single senior did the project perfectly? Probably not, and I'm pretty sure some of them didn't do very well on it either. But they still graduated.
You will graduate if you do the project with some effort. Your school wouldn't deny you the right to graduate because your project isn't good. Unless you go to a fancy private school, you will graduate on time and everything will turn out fine.
There is another option, though. If you do the project and your school decides that you didn't do very well and worse comes to worse, you can still get a GED, which is equivalent to a high school diploma. 95% of colleges accept GED graduates, by the way.

You can major in history, anthropology, art history, social sciences, political science, Latin American studies, and education.
I looked up a college that's near me, and a major that you could also choose is Social Science Education.
I believe that middle school and high school teachers can get the same degree. Elementary school teachers get a different one. So there's an education degree for elementary school, and an education degree for middle/high school.
You do not need a degree in education to become a teacher. All you need is certification and a bachelor's degree [possibly an associate's degree] in an area that is similar to what you want to teach.

ok so my teacher game me an F on a oral presentation, and when i asked why she said "it needed to be more heartwarming, cheesy, mushy..it need to make me cry for you to get an A" (she cries quite easily.. she cried during like 4 oral presentations so far! haha) anyways, im redoing the presentation and it's about "my favorite place" and i guess she wants me to say things like "this is where i learned to love" and thing equally cheesy (its going to be so embarrising doing this infront of my class!) but i need n A in this - so help! have you ever heard a heartwarming speech that moved you? and sentences or expression that are good to use?

Please don't rate this low. I am not going to tell you how to make your teacher cry.
I think that you should at least try to make her cry (again, I'm not suggesting how). But if it doesn't work and you still have an F, you need to tell your parents to talk to an administrator, because teachers are not supposed to determine grades based on if they cried. Your grade should reflect the effort you put into the presentation and the content of it, not if your teacher was emotionally moved by it.

No one should ever leave someone for someone else. It is selfish and makes the other person feel insignificant and inferior to the other girl/guy. Give her a chance. A relationship is a commitment. I believe that you should only break up with someone if the person cheats on you, hurts you, uses you, or if interest drops between the both of you.
So stick with number 2.

Make the screenname that you want. No one on this site can give you the perfect screenname. The fun part about it is making it on your own. It is kind of hard to decide, but you can always get a new one if you start to dislike your screenname. Just don't make one too frequently. It gets annoying.

ok, well my mom MAKES me sign on to AIM. its super weird. she wants me to leave an away message and the first thing she does when she comes home is go on the computer, so i don't wanna keep my AIM opened because its just weird that she's reading my stuff. w/e it is, it's just awkward. so, i told her i didn't want to, and she still MAKES me. she tells me like a speech. i don't like to do that. i'll sign on at night and stuff but i don't like to have away messages on during the day and stuff so anyone that uses the computer could see everything. lol. so, what do i do? Okay, what the other person said is not true. No matter who you are, you should respect other people's privacy, even if they are your kids.
Just refuse to sign on AIM. Or, you could make up another screenname and sign on it with fake buddies. That way, your mom will think that your friends are always signed off and will [hopefully] stop being so nosey. You could also type in a fake password and convince her that AIM isn't working. Or, sign on AIM and become invisible so that no one will IM you.

no matter how i try to study... i just can't seem to be able to. are there any ways for studying?? i'm currently in the 9th grade and i passed every other grade 8 and under. but i think i should REALLY try this year. please give me some advice.
Mathematics: needs tons of work.
Social Studies: needs lots of work.
Spanish: i wanna get a head start on this language.
English: needs help with story writing.

I haven't really been in your position before, but I think I can help.
Math: it really depends on what you are taking. Algebra, to me, is pretty simple. If you know the formulas you should pass the class, maybe not with an A, but with at LEAST a C (probably a B though). Formulas include distance, midpoint, slope, quadratic, slope-intercept form, standard form, and point-slope form. To know them, just make flashcards and do the homework. Most textbooks have the answers to selected practice problems in the back of the book. If you get something wrong, circle it and try it again to see what you did wrong.
Social Studies: this class is all about memorizing. Memorizing can be tough. You need to make acronyms (like USA stands for Unites States of America) and associations. At least I do. For example, if I had to know that in 1921 World War II began, I would think of it mathematically: 9+2 is 11, and the two 1's in 11 surround the date. Things like that stick, usually. And also, World War II is the same as WWII, which looks like WW11. See what I mean? Find small things. Also, think randomly of things that relate to your studies. Say I had to know that Socrates proposed the doctrine of recollection. I would probably think of my neighbor's dog (whose name is Socrates) and how he collects (recollection) bones. Then I would just picture my neighbor's dog in a lab coat (doctor, which sounds like doctrine) with a collection of bones. Do you see what I mean? I know it sounds silly, but it really helps.
Spanish: this class is like a mixture between Math and Social Studies. There is memorizing and understanding involved. If you really want to get something out of Spanish, study daily. I made flashcards for all my vocabulary and went through them daily. This took 5 minutes at most. Then I would pick about 5 to really try to learn. Then the next day, I'd do the same thing. Basically DO THE HOMEWORK and PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS. Most Spanish teachers don't actually check the homework for accuracy, they just want to see that you tried. Don't take advantage of this. Actually try to do it right.
English: writing takes time. I had some trouble with writing in 9th grade, too. What helped me was to ask my teacher before or after school to read my paper to see if it was good. She would make suggestions such as "Don't use the word ____ so much" or "Describe this in more detail". Teachers really do help. It doesn't even have to be YOUR teacher. Any English teacher who you know would do it for you.
