it's hard, but the best way if it's on the back of you thighs is to tone your hamstrings and lose some weight. do lots of jumping, skipping, running up stairs...and don't try those stupid creams

i know im thinking a little to early, but im a 7th grade girl whos thinking of what sports I'm going to do when im in highschool... this is what i got.
fall volleyball or fall soccer.
winter basketball.
spring track.
i cannot decide between volleyball and soccer! I love them both equally as much! i mean im better at volleyball but i love soccer too and i have like 2 years to improve!!!!!!!!!!! (link)

I've played both, and I would DEFINITELY go with soccer. it is a very physical game, you will never be bored. Also, it's more running, so you will be in better shape. if you like volleyball better, then that's fine, but don't pick it just because you are better at it. you have two years to practice soccer, and if you try, you could get REAlly good. maybe this summer or next summer you could go to a soccer or volleyball camp? that might help you decide, the main thing is to have fun, so pick whichever one you think you will enjoy most. also think about who the coaches and teamates would be.

I am currently trying to lose weight, I am 19, female, 157cm and about 100lbs, with a goal to lose about 5-10lbs for the sake of my health and fitness (and thighs, lol). Currently I jog up a steep hill for half an hour each morning as well as doing a lot of walking during the day, eat a healthy breakfast of wholegrain toast with lite cottage cheese, miso soup for lunch and a vege stir fry or similar vege dish for dinner. The only meat I eat is fish. I drink nothing but water and herbal tea, and have no desserts. However I am finding myself getting serious cravings for chocolate all the time and sometimes find it hard to resist the temptation to gorge! I have succumbed and feel terrible about it, not so terrible that I'll throw it back up but still I feel like I am making no progress and it's depressing. I want to see results!
Does anyone know any good and cost-effective ways to suppress appetite? I am really small and know I shouldn't be eating nearly as much as I do, I am the size of a 12 year old kid for goodness sakes and I am not growing any bigger! (link)

you don't seem like you need to lose any weight, but i guess if you think you would be more satisfied a few pounds lighter, then that's fine but don't go overboard! you don't want to turn into a stick insect. if I were you i would add a little weight training into your day. just free weights, using 8 pound dumbells or so, just to strengthen your arms and maybe do some crunches. as for the chocolate, the only reason that you want it so bad is that you are depriving yourself of any good food!
if I were you I would go to the store, maybe a health food store if you have one near. if you can find a dark BIG chocolate bar (dark is lower in fat and higher in antioxidants) look for one with low calories per serving. don't buy candy bars like snickers or anything though. then divide it up, just say 1 square every day or 2 squares every 3 days. or you could try hershey kisses, just eating two a day. the truth is, eating a small dessert like this every so often will actually help you. you won't binge as much, and you are only adding about 75 calories to your diet. run an extra 5 mintues a day or do some pushups and crunches and you will see that it really makes no difference, in fact you will probably end up losing the weight quicker.
also make sure that when you eat breakfast lunch and dinner that you are eating plenty of it, because if you are only having a few bites at each, your metabolism might be going into starvation mode, and that could be why you don't see results.
you have to consume calories to burn them!

i'm not sure what you are talking about since you didn't say what context it was in. if this has something to do with AIM or something similar to that on the computer, then it probably refers to a screen name or some sort of thing that is either a .mac registered account or it just refers to a person using a macintosh, but could you tell me where you saw "macbuddy" so I can give you more helpful advice?

I REALLY DONT WANT TO BE A CIT (counselor in training) AT A SLEEP AWAY CAMP THIS SUMMER! I am already signed up (i dont know what i was thinking when i agreed to it) but it's a lotttt of swimming and i'm really not a good swimmer (like i can swim, but i cant hold my breath for a long time, i hateeee being cold, and i can only do like 2 strokes) but i'm not sure if the is program refundable, and it costs like 4 thousand dollars. I can't really just come out and say to my parents that i dont want to do it...and i wouldnt really care so much if i didnt have to do so much swimming b/c its only like a 3 week thing, and we go to Canada first...
please help...

before you talk to your parents go on the website of the camp, or find a brochure because it will either say on the website or there will be a phone number. Just call them and ask what their refund policy is. I'd say if you can't get any money back, just work on your swimming before you go and try to survive because you may not really enjoy it, but being a CIT would be a good challenge and learning experience. if you can get some money back, talk to your parents and see what they think, but don't say "i don't want to do this" just tell them your concerns about swimming and see what they think about not doing it. if you can get all your money back, then don't go. hope that was kinda helpful, i'm sure you can find out the money thing pretty easily

14/f 152 pounds.
this past week iv been going to the gym everyday and dieting. i really want to lose up to 10 or more pounds by april 17, im going to florida and i want to look good in a bathin suit. Eveyone tells me im not fat at all and i dont need to go on a diet, even my mom has been telling me that. I think im pretty advage and i know im not REALLY fat but i do have some fat on me. Im very athletic, i play soccer and basketball and i guess im a little muscular thats why i weight a lot (muscle weights more than fat), im in pretty good shape but i have some fat on me that i want to get rid of by the middle of april. What are some excersices that i could to to work my stomich and possible get abs? or just lose my fat. (link)

unfortunately it really won't help to do ab exercises unless you don't have much fat on your stomach, and since you said you are very muscular then i think you should put all of your energy toward cardio for now.
later, once you lose how every much weight you want, just your classic crunch but SLOW, then do it to the sides, get an exercise ball and do reverse crunches so you are lifting your but instead of your shoulders

actually those crunches aren't going to do that much....what the other person said. it will make your abs stronger, but you won't appear to have a slimmer stomach, so it won't really do anything. I suggest lowering your calorie intake by about 200 a day until april, and try to run or do an hour of cardio 5 days a week

that's all, just run, it will turn into very lean muscle that will make your thighs slim because you will be burning calories
and add skipping and jumping rope into the mix

video ipods don't take photos, they are mp3 players that also hold photos from your computer and videos. you can get the iphone, which is part ipod and part cell phone, so it has a camera. The iphone is over 500 dollars and isn't on the market until june.
i'm sure there are other products out there at best buy, other electronic stores etc, that have mp3 players and cameras in the same device.
if you want to get a video ipod though (even though you cannnot take pics) you can get a cheap used one on ebay.com, but to get a new one just go to a store or go to apple.com

you can't, and if you are really that nervous, maybe you shouldn't have had sex. But even so, I'm sure you were plenty ready, try not to think about it. If it turns out you are pregnant (super unlikely) then you will deal with the problem and you will survive, whether it's an abortion, adoption, taking care of it. right now you need to focus on something else. focus on calming yourself down, just be busy, take a bath, sleep, pretty soon you'll know you are not pregnant but until then just put it out of your mind.

How many sit ups should you do a day and when should you do them (be very specific). And when you do them, do you just do them going up and down really fast or do you bend down and like wait for a few seconds and then get up and repeat? (link)

ok so you're obviously interested in how to work your abs.
if you have an exercise ball its better to do crunches on that
but on just the floor lie on your back and either cross your arms on your chest or rest your fingers on the sides of your head, but don't pull your head up with your hands. when you go up go slowly and go until your shoulderblades on your back are off of the ground, don't go all the way to a sitting position. DO NOT go quickly up and down, you could do that 10000 times a day and your abs wouldn't get any better, go slowly, go back down, don't pause and go back up slowly.
also, try going to either side to work the sides of your abs

it's true that your bmi is 16.6 but that is actually not healthy, it's underweight. you should really try to gain a little weight, not too much, but try to get some muscle it will make you a lot healthier. right now you are skinnier than you should be

can someone please give me a summary of books 1 & 2 of the odyssey. i'm really confused. i've tried google but they don't give me the details because i've only read certain parts in school and that's what i need to know about. we started off reading part 1, far from home & it says "i am odysseus" then we read the lotus-eaters, the cyclops, the sirens, scylla and charybdis, the cattle of the sun god (thats part one) part 2 is odysseus in ithaca, we read father and son, argos, the suitors, penelope, the challenge, odysseus' revenge, and penelope tests odysseus. i know it's a lot, but if you could just give me a quick summary of those, especially in part 1 then it would help a lot. any websites would be good too. thanks so muchhh (link)

i believe that it is very selfish to want a child. i'm sorry, but that would be a horrible thing for you to do. this child would be cared for by a 15 year old and no father. There are plenty of women who get pregnant at that age and their lives a ruined because of it, the child grows up in a horrible household and turns into a bad adult. do not do this, i'm serious, i would feel very sorry for that child. your life will be ruined, you can have a wonderful baby in 5-10 years that has 2 parents that can support it, two loving parents.
please, please, please don't do this.

ok, I just read what the first person wrote, and it's true but not completely.
people think if you only eat fruits and vegetables that's healthy, but carbs are actually important.
eliminate sweets and soda, eat lots of vegetables, eat fruit too, but vegetables are more important, since fruit actually has lots of natural sugar in it, so focus more on vegetables.
and eat lean meats like chicken, turkey, fish because you really need protein. plus drink lots of milk and water.
and don't eliminate carbs, just eat them in moderation and always choose whole wheat. whole wheat bread, whole wheat bagels, whole wheat pasta, etc.
and don't drink diet soda, that's bad for you too

sony makes good ones, i can't remember what they are called but i can describe them for you. they are small, round and look kind of like snow men because the ends have flaps, grey or black i'm sure you've seen them. the sound is clear and they suction a little into your ears so that you won't hear outside noise as much. they are also great for runing or just moving around, they won't fall out. these kind are usually called "bud style" sony

i went to that sight, and it doesn't really talk about important stuff
i go to a school where a lot of my friends board (although I don't)
Pros: there is no commute, transtitioning, all your stuff is in one place, you have a room and it makes stuff easy.
they often have really good relationships with teachers, because they can talk to them and go for help whenever they want
there is more focus and emphasis on doing hw, studies actually show that boarding students do better academically than students who don't.
they are also very close to other students, it's fun
cons: homesickness, don't get to see family and home friends as much
unless where ur going has a great cafeteria, the food probably won't be as good as at home, you will probably get sick of it
there's lots of drama, you'll wish u were home sometimes, especially if it's a single sex school rather than coed, lots of DRAMA

What can I do to get slimer thighs in the upper area? I'm skinney but I got a lot of fat in my upper leg I could say because if I walk in my underwear or in anything I can feel that fat in my legs jiggling! Here's a picture of an example of the legs I want (any example would do like celebs that don't have fat in their legs) and I don't have a webcam or scanner or anything so I tried my best at drawing my leg.

Anything about ugly knees either? I sit down a lot so my knee is really ugly looking but it's mostly from school, you can't say I want a chair and other students can't get one or it would be unfair. (link)

i wouldn't obsess that much, everyone has fat on the back of their thighs. jumping, running up and down stairs, skipping, etc all helps the back of the legs. also, when you sit in school, cross your legs so your knees don't get bruised, you can't really do anything else about "ugly knees"
