I'm an aspiring artist who is in the market for a solid-body electric guitar. I need suggestions on guitar manufacturers and companies. And opinions on the following: Fender, Gibson, Squire, Washburn, Epiphone, Ibenez, and Dean. Any advice from people who own/have owned any of these guitars is appreciated. 5's for all even if you're being a jerk. (link)

well, i personally love fender, Telecasters are great, along with all of their others. i havent tried gibson, but i k now that Squire and dean suck. washburns i have no experience with either, and Ibanez is great for its price.
so in my opinion, Fender>Ibanez>Dean>Epiphone> Squire.
washburn and gibson are probably above dean

I have muscular legs.. but not like huge but like nice and i'm working on my arms but they are fine.. the only thing i don't like is my tummy fat and my fat cheeks... everyone in my family has chubby cheeks... but is there anyway for me to slim down around my waist and loose some fat in my cheeks

i have an iPod shuffle and an iRiver (n10-103). i have to let go of one...
the iRiver has 8 hours of music
the iPod shuffle fits 120 songs (assuming each songs was about four minutes, that's 8 hours of music)...but i heard that the 8 hours of music thing was a lie (?!!)
the iRiver is black
the iPod shuffle is white
the iRiver costs more
the iRiver has an LCD screen, radio, and supports voice recording
they're both flash mp3 players
which one should i keep?
*i'm kind of leaning towards the iRiver, but my brother has an iPod and keeps on singing its praises.
i also think (against my will) that i'm also being a bit swayed by iPod's marketing... the iPod has a reputation, and apple is famous...
also... i live in korea, where EVERYONE has the iriver n10...and it's fricking annoying. i'd like a more unique-looking mp3 player...but it's a pity that with the ipod shuffle you can't view songtitles.. :( (link)

Every night when I go sleep, I notice tears welling up at the edge of my eyelids for no reason. Its just totally random, I'm not even thinking of anything... Is it possible ,y eyes are just irritated after I've taken my contacts out from wearing them all day? Or is it just another body regulation thing like tapping your leg repeatedly?

i have a hp computer (im on my little sisters right now) but anyway a couple of days ago i was signed on aim only and then all of a suddent the screen went blue and it was like "to prevent you computer from harming your files and folders it shut down" or something like that and then it said it was dumping the physical memory so i let it do that and when it was done i restarted my computer and a black screen pops up that says there was an error and then it asks how i would like to start up my computer, iv done everyway but it still wont work and then after the blue screen pops up!! i really need to get on so if anyone could help me that would be great (link)

if its like my computer, just go into safe mode, and then restart it. normally that works for me, but you might need to take it to a technician or somebody.
when its restarting, i think you just hit escape (actually it might be F2), and a blue screen will show up with several options, it should be there.

first of all, i apologize for the misspelling of 'skating', and the general idiotic appearance of the title. but it worked, didn't it? you came in here to correct me! :P
i am a 16 year-old rookie skater (female) who can't ollie yet.
i was at the skateboard-city.com forums, and this guy posts a rather mean post about how most of the girls that skate are posers, who skate to try to get with 'skater boys', or to get the whole 'skater punk rock' look.
whe someone calls you a poser, the first reaction is to deny it. so of course all of the female skaters on that site protested, but it made ME wonder...
am i a poser? i wish i could say no, but i honestly don't know. there are various reasons why i started to skate (about six mo. ago).
i can definitely say that i didn't start skateboarding because i thought the 'skater style' was hot or anything. i am a "girly-girl" however, i'm not so sure about the skater boy factor. what if i unconsciously DID start to skate because i wanted to meet skater boys? i know it's definitely true that i wanted to make some friends (regardless of gender) through skateboarding.
also the fact that skateboarding - just skateboarding around your town and on the streets itself looked "cool" was a part of the reason why i started. but is this necessarily bad? don't guys get inspired, after seeing a skating video, to do better because of how 'cool' it looks?
and, is it possible to start off as a poser (start skating to look cool or meet guys or whatever) but to change along the way?

1. you say you can do stuff but you cant
2. you make fun of others because of what they cant do
actually i think tahts it. you cant look like a skateboarder or whatever though, whatever you wear doesnt matter.

This might sound strange, but I need tips on how to fight. I know how to hold my fists and how to swing, but I'm scared to break my knuckles or fingers when I swing at someone. I shouldn't be fighting, but I need to learn how to defend myself when someone starts with me, which has happened before and I didn't know how to fight. Also, where is a good spot to hit the person so they back off? (link)

just make sure to duck or move when youre swung at. hitting people in the nose normally works, it hurts like hell, and i dont think youll break a knuckle or something. another thing to make sure of is to keep your thumbs outside of your fist or theyll break

today in lacrosse practice we were running up and down metal bleachers when my leg caught a corner. the cut is a little deep but my friend put peroxide on it and a bandaid. when i got home, i changed the bandage. now i just took a shower and put bacitraycin plus on it but it looks red around the cut. does this mean its infected? if so what do i do (besides see a doctor)?? only way you can know for sure is see a doctor. if its red around it im pretty sure thats normal for a deep cut, so youre probably fine, just make sure to keep it clean.
