Q: My 17th birthday is this sunday and I don't know what I want to do. I'm not inviting many people just my close friends. What are some ideas that we can do? Either fun stuff we can do at my house, in my neighborhood and/or around town. Creative ideas are appreciated.

Q: What to get My boyfriend for Valentines Day. I was thinking of a personalized mug or bowl but he lives with his parents and that wont really have much of a meaning cuz it wont actually be his. I might get him boxers but What else can I get him. Something cute and small we dont want to spend too much money on each other? What do you think?

It depends on how long you've been dating him really.
Valentine's day is a reason for florists and card companies to make money so dont get him what everyone else gets him.
DONT by him jewelry.
How about something personalized but unique?
You can get a nice photobook from Shutterfly that you can customize for around 23 to 25 bucks. It's hardback and looks totally professional. Fill it with photos of the two of you.

He's jackin' with your head.
I have dated every evil creature on the planet and I know that old trick. By forcing you to remember sentimental stuff, he is also making you forget all the bad crap (like leaving you)
That doesnt mean he wants you back though, he just wants you to be on a string, its a power trip sort of thing both genders use.
Next time he says he was listening to a song that reminded him of you, say you heard one too... and then qoute something by Aretha Franklin... that's saucy

And I'm more of a stay at home person..I sit and listen to music..watch movies..I'm into the whole photography computer thing..but even though we're so different..we get along great..but we have NOTHING to talk about..which I dont really understand.
Any suggestions?

No. Sounds like your still in high school. Your supposed to date around and find what’s best for you anyway. This is the time in your life you can afford to be superficial. Who knows? Maybe you’ll break his heart and he will stop playing football, join a band and get all super famous playing emo songs. Then you’ll be to blame.
*sigh*
IF you really want to save it... Ask yourself: What did you talk about before you got together on the phone? Nothing? Guess what your doing that now. Since he likes games, and you like computers, buy him a sports game, you two create a team, and compete online. That’s love busygamer style.

Q: hi. my boyfriend and i have been dating for 3 months now. I am not sure about my feelings right now but i think i am not happy anymore with our relp. I don't know but until now he hasn't even let me check his cellphone. Not that it's his obligation to fetch me after school or buy me simple gifts but he hasn't done any of that until now. I am happy when im with him but he's not putting too much effort in our relp for it work and stay strong. i haven't talked about it with him coz maybe it's just his personality that he's not expressive but im starting to get used to it. Another thing, when some girls admit that they like him, he entertains them. and is it ok for him to call them Babe? do guys are really born flirts? I'm afraid that he's pushing me away and i might lose him. But i can't take it anymore. One time, he doesn't call or text me for a day. As if he doesn't care about my feelings...
Pls. Help. My relp is on the rocks!
thanks!

You didn't mention an age, so I'll just assume you're young (high schoolish)
I never let any girlfriend of mine check my phone. I have nothing to hide, but I just always felt like she didn't trust me if she did it.
I'm not in a relationship to be tested everyday.
Before you think about cutting him loose, remember that you have admitted you havent talked to him about it because of his personality...
It sounds like a broken record, but communication and trust are the key to any relationship, you should talk to him like you talk to your best friend because if you date him longer, that's what he may end up.
The good news is you are at an age where you can afford to be selective in your dating, you can change dudes out like socks so you can learn what your type is. If he is worth saving, he will come back. Isn't it better to face things head on than to go on like it is and have things blow up at a socially awkward time?

Q: Well, i've been collecting Archie comics for a VERY long time and have accumulated a large box full. From them I have recieved so many memories that I feel I can't part with them, but I already told someone that I would sell them to him and now I feel really bad about it. I didn't think I would have a problem giving them away, but now I go through the box and think of all the years reading them with friends and collecting them. He's coming in a few days to possibly buy them. They would be going to a place where im sure they would love them as much as I did. Are they worth keeping? Should I keep my favorites and give the rest away? I know they are just comics, but they hold a lot of memories...

I am a comic book NERD, and have to tell you, this question hits home.
It doesnt sound like you are keeping them for the value. That's good, because it is rare to be able to sell comics what they are worth.
For me, comics were my childhood. We didn't have TV, so my dad got us these books. It turned me into a better reader, then I started writing and had all sorts of adventures all because of comic books. While I believe they are a valid art form in America, you should ask yourself why you are thinking about parting with them.
If you have the space, you really dig them, and they help define a part of your past, I say keep them.
If you don't have the space (like me) you might have to make some cuts in the family. I wouldn't get rid of them all though, that might be something you'll regret.
Whatever you do dont get rid of them because your spouse or present relationship wants them gone, you'll hold a grudge forever.

Take baby steps...
First, if you are a short story writer or a novelist, buy a Writer's magazine from the bookstore, and enter some short story contests with what you already have written (novel chapters if you are a novelist) Hopefully you will win or place in some competitions. This way, when you are ready to shop for an agent or shop your book around, you can show that you have already won some type of recognition for your works. It's kind of like the same concept kids use when they join all these clubs so it looks good on their college application.
If you need somewhere to start. Go buy a copy of the Writer's Market book (make sure it's current) They have addresses of companies and magazines that take submissions and how to do it. If you want a more casual approach, do an internet search for zines, zines need writers like fish need water, there just isnt enough sometimes.
