Hello,
I'm that type of girl who never wears make-up at all. Some girls that I know look, well, scary without make-up, but I don't really look that bad, and I'm pretty critical of my looks. I was wondering, is there any make-up tips that you can give, such as how to apply eyeliner, what shades look good on my skin type. I'm pretty tan so my skin is fair. Is there anything I can apply so I don't look like a make-up junkie, but people notice I started to put on make-up? I don't want to put on too much make-up, I'm only 14. (link)

all i can say...is go natural. don't wear bright, obtrusive eyeshadow colors. stick to natural tones (ie browns, tans) and try a dark brown mascara instead of black and dont use eyeliner. the main purpose of makeup is to draw attension to your natural beauty without covering it, so dont use gobby foundation. if u must, go with a light, neutral powder. it will even out your skin tone and cover any scars and some blemishes. as long as its neutral or matches your skin perfectly, you will look great.

Theres no one way to tell. you just know. and you know hes the right guy if you can be yourself with him, have fun with him, be able to talk to him, trust him, and if he treats you well and isnt going to take advantage of you or use you.

Your old enough when you feel your ready...theres no age that you can say "well now im this old so i can" when your ready to handle responsibilty and be able to deal with the consequences that may come from it...then your ready. my advice....if your maried...then yeah thats fine. if your not...wait til your married. it'll be more special if you save yourself for someone you love and who isnt using you just to "get some"

Im 17/m and here is my problem. Ok Im a senior and prom is comming up soon. Well I have two people in mind to ask out. The first is in my class and I know she likes me. I kinda like her but not as much as she likes me. The other is in 10th grade. I like her but I dont know if she likes me. So now you see my problem. Help please.

it's never safe. chances are you probably wont get pregnant or anything...but then again...theres a chance you might. what ive heard though is before your period doesnt work...the safest times (if there are such a thing) are the 2 or 3 days after your period. but honestly...the only safe sex is no sex.

Hahaha i like this question. Im not sure exactly how to get guys to fall for you...all i ever did was be myself, and because my now boyfriend was very shy at first, i included him and pushed him to be involved in activities instead of just hiding out in the corner. im a very out going person and it works for me and guys usually like that. dont be afraid to try new things when your with him. another thing that helps is when you invite him to hang out with you and your friends, show him who you are with your friends. dont act like someone your not. when my boyfriend hung out with me and one of my friends, my friend and i were crazy. lol. we were burping and just goofing off. it encourages the guy to be themself, which they like. no guy would want to go out with a girl who wasnt herself with him, and who he could be himself with.

I think I have self-image problems. I hate my stomach. I'm always worried it is preventing me from finding a boyfriend. I know people sometimes comment about my weight behind my back. In school when we had our physicals I felt extremely self-consious because the nurse put the chart down and a few people could see my weight (I'm not sure they care though). I just don't want to hurt myself. I've thought about nt eating and becoming aneroxic and when I did I honestly didn't care what it would do to my body as long as my stomach look thinner. I do exercise usually but I never see results. I just want to know how I can have a better self-image. Any help? (link)

Guys probably dont not like you because of the size of your waist, they can probably see that your self-concious about it and thats whats keeping them from pursuing a relationship with you. You are who you are, you cant do much about the shape of your body and the shape shouldnt matter. guys should like you for who you are and not what you look like. it sounds cheesy...but it's true. self image isnt all about how you look, its about the kind of energy you give off that affects how people see you. even if your not a size 1 jean but if you are confident in yourself, people wont see what you look like but will see the person you are.

The girl shouldnt kiss you...you should kiss the girl. Most girls won't make the first move because technically it's the guys role. How do you know if she wants to? If you and her make eye contact and hold it for a few seconds, shes probably waiting. if that never happens...try kissing her on the hand or on the forhead and see how she responds.

I've read all the "how do you know you're in love" questions in the archive, and I've asked a few friends, and all the situations involve either knowing immediately or not knowing for a couple of years. My Boyfriend and I have been going out almost a month now, and I *think* I'm falling in love with him. the thing is, people keep telling me "you'll just know... love isn't rational". I'm an overly analytical person. I need evidence.
And i've never had a boyfriend before, and he's never had a girlfriend before, so we have no experience to base this on. to be honest, I'm not sure how we knew what we were doing the first time we made out. As far as background goes, we were friends for over a year, I agreed to go to his prom as a friend (my exact words were "If you're desperate, I'll go with you," to which he responded "I was going to ask you, but I didn't think you'd want to go"). whenever one of us called the other to iron out the details, we just kept talking. our first date was the friday after his prom. we both entered this completely inexperienced, and plan to wait until marriage for sex. Now, I know I love him... I don't know how. That is, am I in love? is this a mutual crush? are we just really close friends with a some lust thrown in? I want to figure this out before I bring it up with him. this is a big deal and I refuse to use the L word until I'm absolutely sure. That's why I need all the help I can get :) and maybe I'm just going about this all wrong. (link)

hmm thats a bit tricky. because he is your first boyfriend you cant be sure that you even know what love is. Plus the fact that y'all have only been dating for a month...? i dont think thats quite enough time to know for sure. your probably just experiencing an infatuation where you think your in love with him when its nothing more than the euphoria of having a boyfriend and that euphoria is even more intense because he's your first boyfriend. my advice...take it slow and see what happens and check back after a few months, and even better, a few years to see if it lasted.

My best friend Anna and I both like the same guy, Dan. We are both really good friends with him and he flirts with us and other girls a lot. The problem is that he told me that he didn't like Anna, and only wanted to be friends with her. Then he told me that he always is really good friends with girls and then they end up liking him.
I told Anna this and she is really upset and I'm not sure how I should do. I still really like Dan, but it sounds like he doesn't like me because of what he said about his friends falling for him. I was about to ask him out, but now I'm not sure if I should.
why do guys flirt with girls and expect that the girl will never like them? Shouldn't they know that the girl will end up liking him? (link)

when dealing with guys you have assume they dont know anything. He probably has a flirty personality so all the flirting is just who he is. The fact that he confided in you and told you that he didnt like how all his female friends started liking him is a good reason to try to move on and just be friends with him.
