Why are thirteen year olds allowed to use this site when over 50% of the questions are to do with sex and intimate sides of peoples relationships.
Sureley it's not right that someone who's 13 (or in some cases younger) is exposed to the kind of stuff you read on here at such a young age.

Seeing as it's not fair to not help these people when advice givers like myself have been up to now, I think the age limit should be increased, cos it's not fair kids learn about that kinds stuff off of strangers on here. Does anyone agree? :) (link)
Though I fully agree, you also have to understand that a place like this is hopefully a way to guide them into making the correct decisions about intimacy. Such as waiting, and depending on the circumstances, getting help they need. Besides, they teach sexual education to children by the time they hit 4th or 5th grade. You'd be surprised at some of the questions these young ones post. For instance, I answered one a while back about a young girl who had friends who were tricked into intercourse. After giving her advice to speak with adults or teachers about the situation, I'm hoping she went through with it. Children learn about these things younger and younger now a days. All we can hopefully do is guide them into the correct directions to prevent any possible problems in their futures. Besides, a majority of these young ones already know about "the birds and the bees"

Hey soo is this is shoreline wa because I am 15 and I'm trying to apply for McDonald's and I can't find the application form online for me and my friend. (link)
The application can be found here

http://www.mcdonalds.com/us/en/careers.html

But, do take into consideration, you cannot get a job before the age of 16. Unless you have a workers permit... Though I don't know if they still give those out or not... But most places do not hire anyone until they are 16 years of age or older. I would suggest looking into the age requirements of your local McDonald's before applying.

I really dont like my nose. I think i want to get it done when im older. My nose has a nice bridge and the nostrils arent too wide, its just that its round... too round! Ha : )
Its not a hugeproblem, i just feel that if it were a little more sqaure ish , i would be prettier overall.
Its like eva longoria, before her nose surgery w/o the points
I want it to look like either her before or after, but you get theidea-right?

Im hoping you can talk me out of it
Or
Talk me into it
Or
Just give me the details on rhinoplasty (link)
Honestly, it's all up to the person them self. No one can talk you into or out of it. It's entirely up to you. But it does not hurt to get more knowledgeable about what you'll be going through. Such as what they'll be doing to you, the healing process, the possible downfalls, etc. Read up as much as you can on it, as well as watch videos. Honestly, I'm the type that won't do anything unless I know exactly what they'd be doing to me. I would suggest you look up on google, watch videos of it being done, read up on everything about it that you can. Do also take into consideration that even plastic surgeons can mess up. Look at everything. And if you decide you still wish to get this surgery done, be sure to look into the doctors history first! It's like getting a tattoo, you don't want just any artist, you want someone experienced and good at what they do. Otherwise you'll end up with something you don't want or like.

I started birth control the end of September. I was bleeding a lot in October because i missed like two days in the middle of the month. October 31st i Missed That Day Of Birthcontrol and had sex with my boyfriend. The next day i took my birthcontrol at night like i usually do. Because i was on birthcontrol the only time I'd bleed is if i missed a day or two of birthcontrol and i did at the beginning of November. I bled for like 3 days but it was nothing like a period? I haven't bled since. I just wanna know if its a possibility that i could be pregnant? I heard missing one day of birthcontrol is a higher chance of getting pregnant? And i wanna know when i could take a test? (link)
Regardless of whether you miss or not, you can still get pregnant on the pill. I did ;/ lol. And with birth control pills, after a few months, your periods can end up being much lighter and barely noticeable. While I was on my bcps, after like..2-3 months, my periods were regular, and very short lived, lasting no more than 2-3 days. Sometimes only 1 day. Anyway, as for being pregnant, I would suggest wait until your next expected period, should it not come, take a test a week after. If it should turn up negative, take another a few days later. Just to be sure. If you want a more accurate, quicker result, speak with your family doctor and ask for an hcg test. Sometimes they take blood, sometimes they take urine. It all depends.

i dont understand why my aunt want everything her way she want me to go to this college that she wants me to i want to go to the collge that i want to i mean i got scholarships for 2 colleges that she dont know about i mean i told her about one but she act like i need to do what she say because i live under her roof its just sad,i mean i 17 years old 5 months from being 18 what is it gonna be when i turn 18 is she still gonna try to control me .......its just stupid then im suppose to go see my big sister and her kids in minnestoa so she think its such a bad idea like how is it a bad idea to go see my blood i dont understand this woman... but she complains about everything i do in my life like her kids been to jail and all that crap it seem like she trynna to get extra pratice at being a parent for real i swear im so tired of this stuff. ughhhhhhhhhhhh i dont know what to do i think i should move wiith my sister in minnestoa when i turn 18 (link)
When you turn 18, your life is then your own. Despite what she may try to say or do, you can't let someone else hold you back. If there's a college you do want to go to, go to that one. If you want to live with your sister after you turn 18, do it. Just be sure it's alright with your sister. Your aunt may try to still push her opinions wishes..etc whatever on you, but it's ultimately up to you to decide on what you want to do with your own life. You don't have to tell her right away, but make your own decisions about your life. If it makes her feel bad, it doesn't matter, she'll have to learn she can't control everyone. Whether it's the hard way or the easy way. Go where you want to go. Do what you want to do. It's your life, your choice, be happy!

I am 21and female. I am still a virgin and I really really want to have sex. But I have heard stories about having to a bone to actually have sex. I think it is called a hemen. Is this true. Does sex hurt for the first time? We have already decided on going through without protection, he is my fiancé and we want a child for our wedding present. We are planning to do it on the night of our honeymoon. We have done this before but no actually gone through with it like we are that night. He got his head in before we were interrupted by the police, apparently we're not supposed to have sex on a park bench. (link)
Lol, break a bone. That's a new one. But no. You don't have to break a bone. The hymen is just a part of your vagina, a piece of skin tissue really. When the penis penetrates your vagina, it will tear the hymen, and it may hurt. How much? I can't tell you. Many women experience "popping the cherry" pain differently. Some say it's excruciating, while other's say they barely noticed it at all. As for intercourse, intercourse in any public setting is not allowed, if I recall properly, it is illegal. You could even go to jail for that, yes some people do it, but they tend to go where they are sure they won't get caught. How much longer is your honeymoon? Why not wait until then? Make it more special, wouldn't it?

So really wired thing to talk about but here it goes.

I am 11going on 12 and female.
I shave my legs. I haven't started my period yet, and it is really itchy down there. I have long freaking hair down there but I'm not sure if I am supposed to shave there. When I try, it hurts really bad. It is weird and my mother nd father are not interested in me, so I can't talk to them. Please help! (link)
It's alright hon. You're going through puberty, so it's nothing to worry about. Girls tend to grow hair before starting their period. As for "not sure if I am suppose to shave there" it's actually more of a preference. Some women don't mind the pubic hair, while others hate it and do shave it. If you have shaved it, and it has gotten itchy and sore due to the shaving, it's normal. If you continue shaving, it goes away with time. It's like when men shave. It's not easy at first. It takes time for the shaved area to get use to it.

I am 12 and all my friends have started but not me! I have discharge a lot and it comes just anytime so I don't know when it will come! My friends say that they just saw it in their panties. I don't know what to do, and I tell them that I have started.

I am freaking out because I have cramps, headaches, and moodswings. Sometimes my vagina or something in there will start to ache, like I am being beaten by myself. It hurts really bad and about once a month I'll have to ditch school because of what I just said and ill feel like throwing up, I can't walk when this happens because it leaves me to weak to. My headaches are pounding my head all the time. Also, I will not be able to see anything for several minutes, this happens irregularly and I don't think that this is normal. Help me please, I am begging you! It hurts so bad I cry. Please help. (link)
First off, it sounds like you could start bleeding at any time. When I first started, I had painful symptoms for about... 3 months and then one day bam, it happened. I was 14 when I got my first period. So don't worry. It happens at any age ranging from 11 and up. I've heard of some girls never starting until they were older than I was. Secondly, what that boy said about having sex shortly after starting your period, that is total lie. Like I said, I was 14 when I started, I'm 25 now, and I'm able to have children. I'm currently pregnant with my second child, and to state the obvious, I am still alive. Don't cave into peer pressure. Ignore the idiots who say you have to have sex at a young age. You don't. You can wait to get intimate when you are older. I suggest you speak with the girls in your group being told this lie, even ones you may not get along with, because getting pregnant at such a young age, it's very difficult. I've seen many struggle., but get all those girls together and speak with your sex education teacher. A female of course, and explain about what a boy has been saying. But I can tell you, 100% from experience, if you don't have sex after starting your period, you will NOT die. So, do what I suggested, speak with your sex ed teacher, with all the other girls being told this and have this lie put to rest. If you are too afraid to speak with the teacher, then you NEED to tell your mother. Someone who can take care of this horrible rumor, before someone ends up making a mistake. And I would suggest doing it quickly, because with how young girls are today, I'm sorry to say, it's sad. So, move quickly with this, not only for yours, but for other young women's sakes as well.

There si this guy i grown to like and i got the courage to tell him, so i did. He told me he didnt like me. I was fine and i was almost completely over him and i find out he is moving to another state! I have his phone number, but thats all i have and, well, he doesnt really answer my texts since i told him i liked him. What should i do? Its not like i can tell him "Dont go." and he probably wont even keep contact with me. Oh yeah, i should mention that i wasnt OVER over him yet. So what should i do? (link)
It always does suck when someone you fancied *or still fancy* are leaving. But do remember, there are other guys out there. He wasn't interested in you, that's his loss. It takes time to get over someone you liked, but trust me.. It's not the end of the world. All you can really do is just tell him good-bye. Who knows? He may actually keep in contact with you after he leaves. All you can really do is let go. When someone is moving, there's really not much one can say or do to change their mind. It's ultimately up to them. But yeah, I digress, next time you see him, just tell him thanks for being a friend, and good luck in your new home. Keep in touch. Or put it into your own words.

I need a good watch dog. I've had a doberman and german shepherd that I liked very much because they were sweet to people they knew and scary to people they didn't. Later, I got a golden retriever, which was much less intimidating, but made a better watch dog than I'd think and was the best all around dog I've ever had. Ever since he died a year and a half ago, I've thought about getting another one, but am scared it wouldn't be as good of a watch dog. There are some cute saint bernard puppies for sale and I've heard that they make very good dogs, but my only worry is how big the thing will get. My uncle had a saint bernard rotwieller mix that looked more like a horse than a dog. I wouldn't mind having a big dog if I thought it'd be happy in my back yard. I have a good size back yard, but I need to know how big int needs to be to have that size dog in it. WDYT? (link)
Good guard dog breeds would include, pit bull *they aren't vicious regardless of what people say, as long as they are brought up properly, they will be loving and kind*, dobermans, rots, great danes *yes, they are huge, but do not need much space at all. Originally bread as roman war dogs. More for guarding though, and very sweet.* But really, if you think about it, any dog can be a guard dog, so long as raised properly, though there are breeds that were/are specifically bred for that reason. As for yard size, so long as the dog has enough room to run around and be a goof ;p he'll/she'll be happy. Now for names, I honestly believe that the owner should name their new friend, it'll mean more. You don't want to regret a name someone else chose for ya ;p. If anything, think of things you like, vikings, pirates, certain holidays, etc. And come up with a name from that. My dog is named after the original celtic name for Halloween, Samhain *Sah-Win* because my mate and I really enjoy the holiday ^_^ lol Good luck :)

Hi. I have my period on 10/20/12 and it ended on 10/24/12, my length period is 32. So, I have unprotected sex with my boyfriend on 10/28/12 could I be pregnant. (link)
The best way to know is either get a few pregnancy tests and take them. Not all at once. But several days apart. If you don't trust what the pt says, then make a doctors appointment and have an hcg blood test done.

My boyfriend is too gangster He smokes, he drinks, and he's always out in the streets. He's very jelous and gets mad to easily. We argue alottt for the littlest things. At parties he doesnt like me talking to other guys and I sure don't because im scared of what he could do to them. I'll say this... he is very respectful and very careing. Also very sweet, I feel protected. It's just, it bothers me he drinks and sometimes is to cold with me when we text. Also i dislike the fact he gets mad alot. What should I do or say? Im 16. (link)
What really matters in relationships is trust. Without trust, there isn't much real love. Perhaps just have a talk with him, explain to him about your worries, etc. If he can't comply with any of it, then perhaps it would be time to go separate ways. You're only 16, so it won't be the end of the world. You'll eventually find a guy that is for you. But of course, before that, try to work things out with your current beau. If it can't be worked out, then.. well yeah.

how to tell you new boyfriend that you love them for th first time? (link)
For everyone it's different. If you want to tell him, just do it. If you don't, you may regret it later. If you're to shy to tell him straight out, then simply tell him you are falling for him, or put it into your own words.

im on the microgynon 30ED pill and me and my boyfriend have had unprotected sex recently and he came inside me however i started taking the tablets where im meant to be on my period yesterday and after taking one yesterday and one this morning nothing has happened and its never usually not come on the first day, could i be pregnant or am i just worrying too much? (link)
It may be a possibility that you are just worrying too much. I would suggest waiting and seeing if your period comes or not. If within a week it doesn't, take a pregnancy test, though it may take a little longer. Also remember, depending on how long you have been taking this pill, your body may still be adjusting to the change in hormones. Plus, bcp's are not always 100%. So if anything, just wait it out. If you have not started within a week or two, then I would consider purchasing a preg.test. You can get them anywhere, walmart dollar store, they are fairly cheap there *at least where I am from*. If you are not ready for a child, do also take into consideration other options, but also take your mates opinions to heart as well. It's heart breaking enough that men get very little or no say at all about a pregnancy, and if he suggest something that you cannot comply with, then either come up with a compromise, or ditch him.

I am an 18 year old female living at a small college. Since the college is so small, the dorms are as well because there's not that many people to house. My dorm is the only coed building by door, all the others are by wing or by floor. Anyway, my neighbor is the cutest thing. He's shy and plays guitar. He doesn't talk to many people, he talks to his neighbors on the other side of him because his roommate is "bed fellows" with one of the neighbors. The other day, my roommate was going to rinse out her mug and wasn't paying attention so she ran into the cute boy and she just said out of shock "oh my goodness, I thought I was gonna die" because they hit so hard and he looked at her and said "don't worry, I won't kill you" smirked and walked away. So, I've seen him talk to more people in our wing, yet he hasn't spoken one word to me. Every time I'm in the hallway outside of my door and he is, too, he'll look at me for a second and then get an uncanny admiration for the tile floor when he walks by me. I don't know why he's like this with me, my roommate said he can look at her for long periods of time if they are passing in the hall or anything like that. Do you think he is bashful around me because he has a crush on me, too? Or do I scare him for some reason? I ask because lately, I have been thinking of ways to get him to not think I'm a bitch or anything and that he can actually talk to me. My roommate knows that I like him and she thinks that he likes me, too. So, the other night, she went to our community advisor's room and started talking to or community advisor about me and the cute neighbor and my CA said "well, maybe we'll just have to get them together!" So, now I'm thinking of things that I can do before they hatch out a plan together. I was thinking of writing my number on a post it note and sticking it to his door or something after he leaves for class. But then our other neighbors would see it and I'm not sure I want all of my neighbors to have my number. My CA said to slip my number under the door but I feel like that's a little aggressive. I just want us to be talking/friends/getting to be more than friends before Christmas break which starts on December 15th. Anyway, I just want him to know that he can talk to me so I want to do something cute like that because obviously he cannot talk face to face with me yet. But I don't want to stick my number on his door unless I know or have a strong feeling that he likes me too. Do you think he does? And what do you think I should do? Thanks!! (link)
I say just talk to him. If he's shy, and "avoids" you when you see each other, chances are he's too shy to make any type of move. So you're the one who may need to take the chance. Just politely introduce yourself, and start off from there. I was the same way with my current bf *of four years now ^_^* and I was severely shy, I would look at him, if he looked at me, I would look away pretending I didn't etc etc. The typical shy person deal. One day we were all hanging out *he and I had mutual friends* and since he wasn't shy, he took initiative. Spoke to me, and later on we hit it off and started as a couple. I suppose, next time you are all hanging out, just start talking to him, if it worked vice versa for me, it should work for you. ^_^ Good luck :D

okay i know not that long ago i was saying my boyfriend (h.m) was hanging out with jerks and stuff well i tried some of it and it didnt work....hes been avoiding me so tomorrow imma break up with him...but i dontknow how i should do it... help before tuesday (link)
Just tell him things don't seem to be working out anymore, and that you should both move on. That's all there really is to it. You don't need to sugar coat it or anything just say how you feel about things.

I ushtally have very light periods that last 4 days I'm 35 and my tubs are tied and now I'm cramping heavy bleeding threw tampon and pad and pants in less than 20 min and sever boos clots what would be the cause help! (link)
There could be a number of reasons why this is occurring. But considering none of us are doctors, you should speak with yours. If you have to change your pad more than once every hour-2 hours, it could be something serious. So call and speak with your doctor and set up an appointment to ensure that you are actually alright.

Hi,
I'm 20/f. I'm 5'1 and 220 lbs.
Wednesday of last week, I went to the doctor and got prescribed Phentomine(sp) its a pill to help you lose weight and curve hunger.

I've been on them before about 2 years ago and I had 0 side effects.

Well, today when I got home from work, I was sitting on the couch, relaxing, I wasn't moving or anything
and all of a sudden my heart started pounding really hard and fast. I have NEVER in my life experienced anything like this, nor do I have the right words to even describe it. It lasted about 10-12 seconds? While it was happening, I was scared. I have had a few encounters with heart 'flutters' and this was NOTHING like that. It was intense. Like, the best way I can describe it, is like I just got done running 5 miles. The part that confuses me, is I wasn't doing anything to make my heartbeat raise.

I told my parents and they don't seem to concerned. My father told me not to waste my money and go to the doctor, but after looking on google, I'm really afraid. I have been stressed for a couple of weeks now, and I do smoke cigs.

I know you guys aren't doctors so you cannot make a medical diagnose, but have any of you ever had this happen to you? Or even someone else? Do you have any idea what you think it could be?

Thanks!

(link)
I have it happen often. I believe I am pretty sure I know what you are talking about. It could be an arrhythmia. There are several different forms of arrhythmia, but in women, heart palpitations are surprisingly quite common. It's nothing to be horribly afraid of. Just set up an appointment with your doctor, and explain the feeling, they may put you on a heart monitor, as well as give you a booklet to write down when you actually feel it.

I am a forty something female and still struggle. I was molested when I was a child by both sexes. I only realized the women molested me this year with a recent memory flash. However, I knew a few of lesbians sex positions when I was young, but did not understand how I knew this. Most of my childhood was a blank and have been coming back through flashes of memory. I had a boyfriend when I was much younger but men tend to be too aggressive. A few times in my life I've had thoughts about being with a woman, but have never been attracted to women. Recently I just cannot seem to shake these thoughts. I have always wanted to marry a man but these thoughts are taking over my mind. Plus my religion is against this.
I forgot to add that I had a girlfriend when I was 9 or 10, wanting to do what I learned from the women. Since I am having these thoughts of being with a woman now, does this mean that I am a lesbian or bisexual? Or am I just confused because of the abuse? (link)
It could be either or. But most who experience sexual abuse at a young age, by the same gender, tend to get confused. May not be early in life, it can hit at any time. Perhaps speaking with a therapist may help. It is not unnatural to think about being with the same gender. Many people think of it. Most just don't say anything. It does not necessarily mean that you are a homosexual or bisexual. Did you ever speak with a therapist about the abuse you had endured? They may be able to help you cope and understand.

From august 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 I lived in an apartment complex that I had many complaints about, the only reason my roommates and I stayed a second year was because of how conventionally located it was to campus.

Within the past two years we were charged for our smoke alarms being "tampered with" and charged even though we denied and explained we had just moved in and nothing was done, they didn't take the fee off.

All our appliances would break and take forever for them to fix it.

The apartment locks were always broken and any key could open any person's apartment if you just jiggled it the right way.

Over all it was a terrible place and we wanted to sue for all the stuff we had to deal with but none of us could find the right 'legal' reasons to do so....

During the 2 years we went through 4 sets of different managers because everyone kept getting fired but before that promising things that wouldn't get fixed.

Point is... it was just in the news that the city has finally discovered what this apartment complex really is :a piece of you know what.

And has found over 100 violations against them in terms of health and safety violations.

I am wondering if NOW, finally that there has been light shone on the situation, now that the evidence is finally out there and the many violations...is there anyway I can sue? or get reimbursed?

I mean, there probably isn't, but I'm just curious because we lived there and brought up to the current manager our concerns about safety (someone through a works bomb on our porch and management did absolutely nothing)...

Is there anything I can file to get some re-reimbursement? It was a A LOT of money to pay for such terrible conditions.

If there is nothing I can do -- please just say so, I'm not asking for a rude reply or somoene saying I'm dumb. (link)
I'm not going say you absolutely can, but you may be able to. Go find an attorney/lawyer, and speak with him/her about it. I believe you will need proof of your stay there such as the original lease, etc, along with all the charges you had to pay. If you ever had to hire a company to come in and fix the problems that your (at the time(s)) landlord(s) refused or never fixed, be sure to also have those receipts or invoices on hand as well. I'm not a lawyer, so don't take my advice as 100% as you may not be capable of a reimbursement. But it never hurts to speak to one. Some do charge just to talk to them, while others charge you nothing. So be sure to look around as well.
