I have hair on my genital area, do I shave down there?

Question Posted Monday December 3 2012, 12:31 am

So really wired thing to talk about but here it goes.

I am 11going on 12 and female.
I shave my legs. I haven't started my period yet, and it is really itchy down there. I have long freaking hair down there but I'm not sure if I am supposed to shave there. When I try, it hurts really bad. It is weird and my mother nd father are not interested in me, so I can't talk to them. Please help!

For the best results do this

1) Shave with a schick razor
2) Apply Sarna (lotion)3 times a day for 2 weeks

I do this and it causes no irratition, but just remember it will cause irratition if you scratch

I hope this helps, Godsangel. :)

It's alright hon. You're going through puberty, so it's nothing to worry about. Girls tend to grow hair before starting their period. As for "not sure if I am suppose to shave there" it's actually more of a preference. Some women don't mind the pubic hair, while others hate it and do shave it. If you have shaved it, and it has gotten itchy and sore due to the shaving, it's normal. If you continue shaving, it goes away with time. It's like when men shave. It's not easy at first. It takes time for the shaved area to get use to it.
