Q: at first my dad was thinking about letting me get a sidekick 3, but now he's totally against it and said my phone is "fine."
i need to pursuade him so maybe he will let me get a sidekick. i have verizon right now and my phone is kind of like the side kick and has a keyboard.
my dad thinks im wayyyy too young to have a sidekick. im 14. yet all of these little elementary and middle schoolers in 5,6 &7th grade have sidekicks.
i really want one so bad i havent shut up about it since it came out, so i need good reasons. nothing about the keyboard because i have a phone with that

Need good reasons?
They have a prepaid model, you won't waste anymore money with a contract
The price isnt that half. You pay for half, he can pay for have. Work out a deal.
Everyone else has one and you want to be cool.
Ever think that its just not in his budget? You're 14, you can start babysitting or clear tables to make some money. Then it will be yours.

Q: k I'm new into ordering stuff on the internet and I was wondering if it's safe. There's this thing I want on ebay and ebay looks pretty safe and real so is it reliable? Can I order stuff on ebay without getting scammed? I'm just careful ever since I got scammed on this one time when I ordered something. Plus my mom doesn't trust things being ordered from the internet so it's kind of hard to convince her. -__-

Ebay, check their feedback. 100+ is a good, solid seller. Also, pay with Paypal - if you are scammed, then they can reimburse you.
As for regular sites, check these websites:
www.bbb.org - and search for the URL. If they're not listed, don't shop there.
www.whois.net - and search for the URL. If the domain comes back with a URL outside the US, then that site is shady.

Q: what is the impact of I.T on management?
IT is no longer just about software and hardware - it has integrated itself within each department of an organizations.
Things you want to look at
Management uses different software tools for making decisions (about products, price, finances, scheduling, EVERYTHING) and IT needs to update and install those types of software. Bad software = bad management
Of course, same goes to hardware too. If the hardware is too slow, then management won't use it to access the important information.
IT also includes telecommunication lines and set-up. Communications (video conferencing, web information, upload speeds) also affect management effieciency.

Q: hi
can you guys give me ideas of an infromation system design that will optimize the full funcionality or capabilities of either microsoft access, dream weaver, html, java script,vb!im really in short of design ideas please help me out, maybe your ideas will help me think!

Since you didn't really go into detail, I'll just spew out fun ideas to optimize any system or software.
Wikis (html, java, etc)- Absolutely awesome. Dogs.google.com, wikipedia.com are great ideas. One document that lets everyone edit in 'real time' for easier collaboration.
Optimizing the full funtionalty for the users, develop a unique and comprehensive training document.
Designing any application, you need to use Windows Interface http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&safe=active&q=windows+interface+

Q: "Ok please no funny answers and I want to know if Keisha is overreacting. Today at work Keisha was down on her hands and knees rearranging the cabinets in the work area and Keishas butt (rear end/booty) was sticking up in the air. Ginny (a coworker) passed by and said; Gee your butt looks big; This upset Keisha so she went over and asked; Ginny do you really think my butt is big; and Ginny replied (smiling the whole time); Well it must been the angle because you look fine standing up. I was joking.; Keisha said; But do you think my butt is big; Ginny replied; No; But this still bothered Keisha, however, Keisha didnt say anything and about a half hour later Ginny asked Keisha if she was ok and Keisha said; well it still bothers me; Keisha said; If your butt was big I wouldnt joke around like that. One never says something like that to someone who has a big butt; Keisha agreed and walked away. Throughout the day Ginny kept telling Keisha she was joking; However, about two hours later Ginny said to Keisha; I was joking; you have to gain; I was joking; MY QUESTION: DO YOU THINK KEISHA IS OVERREACTING; AND (2) WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THE ENTIRE CONVERSATION (0THER THAN SAYING IT IS SILLY) (KEEP IN MIND LAST WEEK ANOTHER COWORKER SAID TO KEISHA YOU ARE SO SKINNY DONT YOU EAT)"

Keisha is not overreacting. You should never mention anything about someones appearance at work, it makes for an uncomfortable environment.

Q: Over the summer I was in a relationship with an older man, and while I was away serving with my church...my dad found my cell phone bill and called my guy. My dad basically said that my guy should never talk to me again. Do you think that this was right for my father to do?
Thanks,
Jenn

If you are under the age of eighteen, then YES - its correct for your father to do. He is legally, emotionally, morally responsible for you. If anything were to happen - he would also be in trouble
If you are over the age of eighteen, you're responsible for your own actions and you need to talk with him. (Unless he pays for your cell, then the answer is yes again)

Q: I just got a Razr cell phone :] I love it. And I took pictures, now how can I get it on my computer?? And how much does this cost..

There are a few ways your can get your pics from the phone to your computer.
If the phone came with a cord (or you can buy a cord), you can transfer the file that way.
If the phone has Internet, it should be able to connect to myspace - and you can put if online
Or send a message to your regular email and attach the picture...

Q: I posted another question a few days ago about my Dad. But, for I think four or five years, I've been praying that my Dad would stop yelling. My mom has been praying since the day I was born that he would stop. He cusses, screams, you name it at me and my family. I can't take it. I'm crying typing this. I thought God answered all prayers. Why can't he answer this one?
Been there, done that. It didn't get any better for me.
What I ended up doing when the yells and cursing was going on - I softly stated that if he couldn't converse in a nice manner, then I don't need to hear it. Then walked away, either to my room, took a walk outside or to a friends house.
God hears prayers, He wants you to prosper and be in health in ALL things. 3 John 1:2
But God doesn't come down to Earth and change people, your Dad has to take that step. Free will power and all that jazz.
But you can take the next step. Sit down with your mom, dad (both, either) or write a letter stating that you aren't comfortable in this envirnment and you feel (yadda, yadda, etc)
Next neither parent may not be up to changing and verbal abuse leads to physical abuse. Talk to a family member, a teacher or a counsler to see what your options are for other housing.

Q: I was really living the life! Queen of the whole 1st year high schoolers was never hard to get used to. I was the most popularest girl in the whole grade, but only because I was head cheerleader, and ofcourse like every fairytale I had the star player on the football team, the most popularest, cutest guy in the whole grade, as MY boyfriend! Life could not get better! My dad had a great job so I was what you would call "Filthy Rich", and lived in a huge house!
Then one day my very rich dad lost his very "rich paying" job. We moved into a room in an apartment room, and I had to quit the cheer squad because we could not even pay the $80 fee. Then after that the roomer got around that I was now poor, and my boyfriend dumped me, which meant my popularity went buh-bye! Soon after that, my daddy got a call from his job asking for him back, so we got our house back and I re-joined the cheer swuad and the roomer went around and my ex-boyfriend asked me out. I said to him we can try. So I am going out with him on the Tuesday after X-mas, and I'm going to see if he really likes me or my popularity! But this guy is SOOOO cute, popular, and romantic! Should I dump him or take back my role, i mean after all, he is the MAJOR CRUSH of the whole grade and he likes ME out of 56 other girls! What should I do?
He doesn't like YOU out of 56 girls, he likes your status and your money. But hey, if you like that fact that he's a wanted man by other girls and that he would dump you if someone with more popularity/money comes along - take him out again.
Personality, past habits reflects future behavior and I wouldn't go out again...

Q: What's the average no. of hrs of sleep I should get?
I'm a light sleeper and I get woken up easily by noises. What can I do to ensure uninterrupted sleep?
Any good advice will be much appreciated.

Everyone pretty hit the # of hours you should get (8 hours for an adult)
I work third shift and also wake up easily by noises, a sound machine works wonders. It blocks out outside noise and you sleep soundly.

Q: I used to like this guy a lot. But then when I told him and it turns out he likes me too, I stopped liking him just like that. But now(hols) he keeps calling and asking me stupid stuff and I keep hanging up on him but he keeps calling. So how should I get rid of him and make his stupid voice stop asking me anything?

You know him best, but depending on his personality:
You can ignore his calls
Answer them but be curt (Oh, I have to go now. Bye)
Or just let him know that uh, you're "parents" don't want you to be talking to him anymore...

Q: I stumbled across this site by accident. I seriously doubt many of you have the qualifications to give real people proper advice. After reading some of your responses to people's inquiries i was quite astonished as to how teenagers find they are able to give quality advice and information to real people in need with such little life experience. If you ask me you are not in a place to give your "personal opinion" when people truly believe you are giving them the right answer simply because you claim "people think i give really good advice". (eg. i am still at a loss as to how a 17 year old girl thinks she can give advice to someone regarding conceiving a child) I know you try to come across as a "godsend" to poeple who are in some sort of personal crisis and need a fast easy answer but the truth is, in the cases where it really counts, there rarely is one; at least not from you.

Q: I dont know why, but I'm attracted to my cousin, who's a guy. Ever since I was little I've always like been attracted to him, but didn't know how to handle it, since i can't really have a romantic relationship with him, cause of like.. incest. He's 6 months younger than me, and a Cancer, while I'm a Capricorn, so I guess opposites attract? Because it seems like he kinda has a crush on me too, but i guess its awkward at times, especially when we're alone. AHH! what do I do about this? or do i just ignore it? :/ its like a forbidden love or whatever you'd call it, lol.

Ignore it and it'll eventually pass. When you do have family get togethers, stay within a group and avoid a one to one situation.
Next, this happens. You're cousin is allowed to be hot and good looking. Just don't act on those feelings (yeah, you know that already)

Q: Hello,
We got a new coach for my high school swim team. He is pretty tough. We have a morning practice and an afternoon practice. However, I have way too much homework to actually do all this swimming! I am very concerned about my work and it comes first. Also, I will only have twenty less minutes to change into my uniform, get to my locker and get to class after getting out of swimming. I also have no time to eat breakfast. My parents keep on saying that they will talk to her, but I don't even know if I want to be on such a demanding team. I do swimming for personal enjoyment and exercise, not to be super competitive. I don't think my mom understands that I am not a competitive person and will break down under such a high-stress regimen. Any advice? I am involved 2 clubs, but without swimming, no sports.
Thanks.

Its great that you know your limits and have your priorities straight (work first!) That's just plain awesome.
I would talk to your coach about your scheduling concerns. My coach was like that too and I ended up dropping a few practices - this coach might let you do the same too.
If he is unflexible with your schedule, its completely understandable that you drop out. Good grades are important and so is eating healthy.

Q: okay, i have this american eagle pass thingy.
every three months you get a certain percent off clothing there.
lets say i spend like $122, and i got 20% off. how would i figure out the price with 20% tooken off.
i need like full detail steps that are simple. im not that great at math.

Take the amount times the percentage:
122 x .2 = 24.40
That is your discount. The amount your would owe would be 122 - 24.40 = 97.60
Google helps too:

Q: i am 13 years old and in seventh grade (female)
all the girls in my grade wear eyeliner except for me. My mom won't let me. (i asked her one time over the summer) what can i say to her or do so that she will let me wear it?

Most of those girls wear eyeliner to look older and that protrays the wrong meaning for a 13 year old. I highly doubt you're the only 13 yr old in your grade who is not wearing eyeliner. Instead, ask you mom for suggestions towards other makeup that she would let you wear (mascara, lip gloss, blush, etc)
