Q: I want to go on a picnic with my boyfriend this summer sometime. I thought he would really like it since he's working all of the time and we always do the same things over and over together. A picnic would be a big change, you know? :) Sort-of like a nice surprise as long as I can figure out how to do it all by myself!
Anyway, what would one need to bring on a picnic to make it be considered fairly good? I've never been on a picnic before really :/

Sandwiches are a classic picnic food. Just remember that if you put cheese, don't let them sit in the heat too long. You could also try some sort of salad: potato salad, macaroni salad, fruit salad.. For dessert try dipping strawberries in melted chocolate and then freezing them or putting them on a frozen cookie pan. But again, most of this food has to stay a bit chilly, so don't leave it in the car too long or anything. Take it all out of the fridge right before going to the picnic.

What is a stock even? lol.. I've never understood that. I've never understood what the stock market is.. what it does.. what it means when it goes up or down, lol

A stock is a chunk of a company. You pay a certain price for your stocks, depending on how many shares you get and how the company is doing that day. The value of stocks always fluctuates. For example, if you bought a stock for $10 per share, the next day it could be worth $11. If you wanted to, you could sell your stocks that next day, and make a dollar on each share. "Trading stocks" is when you sell or buy stocks (because someone else is either buying them from you or selling them to you.)

It's not fair to assume that every boy in the world only wants sex. Maybe they just want to hang out with you!! If you're still uncomfortable with the idea, suggest hanging out in a group. That way, you can hang out without feeling pressured to do anything, and you can decide for yourself if you ever want to hang out alone with him.
When he asks, "When are we hanging out?" try a response like "I'm not sure, when is ____ free?" Make sure the other people are mutual friends; it's no fun to hang out with people you don't know.

I just finished my first year of college and I met some amazing friends. It turns out that yesterday I found out that one of my amazing friends passed away. He lived in a different state so there is no way I can go to his viewing or funeral.
I want him to know that I will miss him and I'm sorry that I can't go to his funeral/viewing. I don't know how I'm supposed to do that. I want him to know that I'll always be thinking of him and he'll forever be in my heart.

Start something in his name: a fundraiser for a charity he liked, or a scholarship for his favorite sport or club. Organize something for the anniversary of his death. I'm sure you're not the only friend too far away to attend the funeral; try to organize a memorial-like event in the fall at your college with friends, family, and staff.

Q: Okay, I'm a sophomore in high school and I do a lot of community service, such as playing music at nursing homes every month and volunteering around my hebrew school. But how am I supposed to be keeping track of this? I'm recording all the hours I spend in a notebook, but do I need "proof" of sorts for when I put it on a college application?

None of the colleges I've ever applied to or heard of have required "proof" of extracurriculars. Supposedly, though, they have the power to call your school and confirm that you've actually accomplished what you claimed to accomplish. (Again, I've never heard of this actually happening.)
Either way, you should be fine, seeing as you're not lying about the community service you do. (Well done, by the way.) If for some reason they do contact you asking for "proof," you could easily give them a reference, someone who can verify that you do volunteer. Try to give an accredited reference (for example, mention the head of the hebrew school, not the friend you volunteer with.) And don't forget to ask permission before giving away someone's contact information!

Q: Alright, I'm 16 and not athletic at all. I hate sports with a burning passion. Not a big fan of getting all sweaty and I'm definitely not good at the whole "team player" thing. Lol, just not me.
But as of this year my school is requiring everyone to do some sort of physical something (like a sport or something) or else they have to take gym.
My question is do any of you have any suggestions about what I should do? The physical activity could be like swimming lessons or gymnastics or something.
My problem is that I'm 16 and have never actually played a sport. I took dance lessons like 6 years ago, but I doubt my parents would be keen on sending me back to dance. So I'd need something that's easy to pick up that I'd only really do for like two years until I graduate.

Does it have to be monitored? Try daily jogs or even daily walks, they really are quite beneficial to your health. And if that doesn't work, try yoga! It's relaxing and has no teams and you don't usually get sweaty.

Try being more optimistic! There's nothing wrong with liking "kiddy shows" (my favorite show is Phineas and Ferb, and I'm 17.) In fact, they might be a good conversation starter! Be confident in who you are and what you like.
PS: "Only 3?" Three friends is plenty, as long as they're true friends. Don't live your life searching for more friends; I love meeting new people, but it's easy to appear as though you're looking for someone better, rather than someone more.
