15/f. This is really long, just going to warn you now. I commend you even if you don't give me advice if you just read the whole thing.
I seem to be good at solving problems for everyone but myself. There's this guy, he's a senior at another school kind of far away and we've only met once, back in June. After we met for the first time, he asked me out. My sister spoke to him a few times and hates him for no reason, but for once that isn't the issue.
So over the summer I assumed that him asking me out was a relationship and that blew up in my face. He told me that it wasn't and I was very embarrassed and hurt and stopped speaking to him. I only came out with that story recently (I took my guilt out of it before) because he and I became very close again. So close, in fact, that he told me that he wants to take me to all the dark, secluded places where he lives. And many times this week it seemed like he had to tell me something but was too nervous. Then on Friday, he almost told me that he liked me, but said that we had to wait to be in person, which could've been as soon as this Thursday (and still could be). I was ecstatic. Then yesterday, he told me that he also likes me and another girl who goes to his school who he sees every day, and he thinks that she likes him. He's telling me as his "escape" because I don't know her and can't tell her anything. And then he says "It's a problem because if I go out with her and something happens with you, then I'm screwed." I've been on/off liking him for a month and I am just so sick of this crap. Thank you for reading.

Love is intensely complicated, as I'm sure you already know. And unfortunately, the answer here may not be the one you want to hear....
You have little or no future with this guy. It seems to me as though he's just not decisive enough. If he really wanted you as much as you wanted him, he'd leave this other girl.... And hooking up would ABSOLUTELY NOT give you closure. If anything, it would make things worse. I know this is incredibly hard to do (I know, I've done it), but you're pretty much going to have to walk away from this one. Talk to him one last time, explain the situation, and then wash your hands of it.

To the parents of teenage kids out there(meaning 13,14,15 year olds), you know your kids are smoking, popping, doing drugs and partying. Do you care? Do you try to stop them? , i'm really curious, becuase now-a-days it seems like everyone's doing it, and there parents dont even care. (link)

No matter how obvious such activities are to teens, you'd actually be very surprised as to how well they manage to cover it up from their parents. If the parents knew, they would surely be on it. However, it's not as clear to them as it might be to us.

I'm in college now and I kind of want to do things my way. (My family doesn't want me to have a car right now although i had one at home.) I just want to buy a car and work in a decent place where i please. when i was at home I was told where I could work, what hours I could work, where i couldn't drive. And, very overportected and dominated. Am I at the point in life now where i can start making my own decisions and not be wrong. (link)

Now that you're in college, you are officially out of most shelter and into the world. As long as you're paying for it, this decision is totally up to you.
That having been said, you are not at a point where you can make your own decisions and not be wrong. No one is! You're bound to make mistakes, but you're going to have to mess around a bit before you decide what's right and what's wrong.

Different guys have different tastes. Some of them will prefer lighter, while others will prefer darker. In my opinion, and as I know of most guys, skin color really isn't an issue. I'm sure you're fine.
However, I'm also obligated to give you the true cliche... It's really all about personality. Sure, physical appearance can serve as a sort of initial hook, but the right guy for you will be the one who likes your mind better.

So, I'm attempting at writing a book, and I was wondering opinions on this subject..
I have three main characters, and this story is supposed to be a romantic drama kind of thing. I'd like one of the characters to be the one to tell the story, but she ends up dying towards the middle. I was thinking I could switch around with point of views, either that, or switch once the girl dies.. but I'm not sure.
I don't like telling from the author's point of view, but I know it gives more chance to describe more...
Any help is appreciated on when you think I should do. =)

I'm writing a book similar in the whole view-switchy thing, but with only two characters. What I would do is keep it totally separate: I'd divide the book into three sections, one for each character. The first segment would be from the POV of the girl who dies, and when she does, it gets switched. This gives us a more intricate picture of the mind of each character, and makes the book feel less... Schizophrenic.

ok so like when i talk to him online and ims me 2 secs right after he comes back from away and he says hey! instead of like hi or hey. and hes reallyreally nice like one of the nicest guys EVER and whenever im sad he always tells me to call him to talk and just to talk in general and thats alot. and after i talked to him for awhile he said love you but he said as a friend way and he says to me everytime that he loves me but i dont know if he said that for being in a friend way just cause he doesnt want to seem things to go fast or if it really is a friend way

15/f. Okay...this is quite complicated. But I'll try and explain. Okay...I joined an online forum (namely a 'Queen Fans' forum) and I met a guy there. Let's call him Freddie. Freddie is 18 and lives in Canada. I, myself, live in the states (farthest state from Canada lol). Well, I've known him (online, "Msn, AIM, etc") for about 7 months now. And him and I have gotten really close, like we've chatted, and sent pictures, talked on the phone, etc. I REALLY like him, and I think he's fond of me too. But the only thing that bothers me about this is the whole "online" thing. The truth is - I'm planning to meet him this summer. My question (for advice) is this -...I might not even HAVE a chance to meet him after all...and If I don't, is there really ANY point in continuing being friends with him? It's REALLLLLLYYYYYYYY weird and confusing...but he tells me that he loves me, and cares for me, and keeps on giving me hints like "When you're 18, come down to Canada again" or "Call me when you're 18" or even "When I see you, I'm going to pamper you with gifts (etc)". I know him now as if I knew him in REAL life, that's how close we are. And we talk to each other very personally, sharing secrets, talking about problems. On a VERY personal level (one that I would be with a best friend). But...the online thing's kind of a turn off. I'm asking you, nice and brilliant advice-givers, if I should keep this little shananigan going on...and if I should make him wait for me...Or if this is just TOO rediculous, and I should just move on in my relationships? weird...haha i know. You're right, this is pretty complicated.
If you care about him as much as he cares about you, then it may be worth keeping it going. Love can indeed prevail through situations like these, and it may be worth keeping up.
However, it's good that you're realistic about the future. The fact that he's so far away makes things very difficult, and it may be better to break it off now before he becomes too attached.
The third end of the spectrum would be whether he's trustworthy... You would know this better than I do, and I'm sorry if these seems un-knowledgeable or insulting. But the truth is, there are guys out there who are just trying to take advantage of girls online.
Ultimately, you're going to have to decide just how important the relationship is to you, and what you're willing to endure to preserve it.

I've been using windows movie maker to make videos and frankly, it sucks, especially on my laptop. it lags, it freezes, etc etc and it's a pain-in-the-ass to use in editting.
So i'm wondering does anyone know a better video/movie making/editting program? Maybe one i can download free (if not its okay)? I have to make a video for an end of the school year project so any suggestions asap would be amazing!

Both the people below me are completely correct. It is possible to be raped by anyone, and being raped by the same person (or person from a gang rape) is totally possible.
Rape is common, although I don't know about ages. It is considered by many to be one of the most evil crimes committable.

-Is it morally wrong to give advice about a situation you've never been in? For example, give sex advice if you've never had sex?
-Is it morally wrong to give advice you don't follow, even if the advice is sound? For example, an eating disordered person giving nutrition advice, or a couch potato giving exercise tips? What if this information is provided to correct erroneous information offered by another source?

I think Advicenators is geared more toward SYMpathy than it is EMPathy. As long as you consider yourself a genuinely knowledgeable person on the subject, then you can give advice. That's my view of it.

Everyone so far has given you sound advice... School is your common ground, so it's your best way of starting a conversation. Ask about grade, teachers, classes... Then, you can move onto the more general stuff, like interests and background. Think of school as your gateway topic.

So well my question is about this "problem" i've had since I was pretty young. Basicly what it is well..at times evrything I hear will like echo strangely...like its hard to describe but its like I hear the acctuall sound then it echoes back angry and depressing. Like it doesnt even have to be a human voice just like the sound of a saltshaker hitting the table can sound depressing or almost angry at me.
Now its not completely random though...its almost as though I can chose when it starts but then getting it to stop is hard. I dont know. I just feel like im insane....does anyone else get this? is this normal? Please help...

I have the exact same thing. I'm 14.
What we have is a hypersensitivity to sound that is controlled by emotion. Think about WHEN this happens: How you're feeling, if anything unsettling just happened. For me, when someone's pissed at me, it kicks in. Just knowing that you have it can help a lot.

okay so i got a final essay to write for my English Coursework. Im struggling on the question/task though, i just have a total block.
So i was wondering, and hoping that maybe someone here could help me a little.
The question/task is this:
Write fully about one of the characters in the play. Take into account what they have done before the play begins aswell as their actions, words and attitudes during the course of the play. Write about the way attitudes, moods and opinions change and delvelop during the course of the action on stage.
My tutor wants me to write about Sheila so what could i write? Any hints and tips?
