i've been wondering about this.. i mean im a kid myself, 13, and like i see all these older people that complain about little things they dont like about themself. those people go on to makeover shows, shows where they change their wardrobe and stuff (what not to wear), and even get plastic surgery. now im really against plastic surgery.. unless for medical reasons, but anyways im wondering why kids cant say they are ugly in a way, too. adults think its soo wrong when kids say that when they do it too! and why arent there any kid/teen makeover shows too? i mean i think theres some for teens, but why not preteens or people around my age? that would be cool.. and some people dont think thats right, then why is it right for adults to do it too? now im not saying plastic surgery or anything for the kids, but like.. you know makeover stuff that could improve their confidence and stuff.

its really annoying in other ways cause like theres no tv shows about kids my age that arent like cheesy or anything. why are they so cheesy? and why do they all wear make up when not alot of kids even use make up that much. like in hannah montana.. their make up looks so professional.. yeah like any kid that age could do that everyday. and in that and other shows they always have alot of different cool outfits and stuff when thats not really how it is in real life.. well for some people but not alot of people. why are tv shows like this? i watch some of them anyways but if something different came out i'd like it. oh and the show on MTV called Made, why is it only highschoolers. i'd like to see an episode with someone from middle school or something.. and more shows about middle schoolers than high school high school high school. blechhh.

well, first of all, I guess I agree, there is sort of a double standard. It hink that the reason there are makeovers and plastic surgery for adults and not teens is for a couple of reasons. First of all, teens are still developing so plastic surgery would be unsuccessful and lead to problems, and teens are also growing so they don't want to redo the whole warddrobe and have the girl/guy grow out of everything!
also, as you grow up you'll realize that adults are more able to put their flaws into perspective. For example, a grown woman might think she had a big nose and has been dealing with her self esteem all her life and has decided to have plastic surgery, but on the other hand, she could reach 40 and realize that it's not worth the risk, and she is beautiful despite this flaw!
teenagers are much more influenced by their friends and the media, which is why so many more teens than adults have eating disorders and depression due to appearance. That is why parents hate when their kids say they are fat or ugly. They want the younger generations to be happy and successful as adults, and if they are already worried about being ugly at 13, they are going to be focused on their flaws instead of being the best person they can be despite this! I know you find it frustrating, but it's a good thing there is no extreme makeover for 13 year olds, we teenagers need to realize there are more important things in life than whether we have as clear skin or pretty hair as our friends, you know? People that are able to put this into perspective end up much happier.

As for the question about highschoolers vs. middle schoolers, it's all about the audience. MTV and other networks create shows to please the people that watch their network in order for them to make money, and there just isn't as high a demand for shows with 13 year olds, than 16 year olds. In a couple of years you will be very happy that you don't turn on the tv and see all these middle schoolers getting "made" and stuff.

I do agree with you though, shows that feature middle schoolers really are cheesy, like the disney ones and stuff. This is only because parents would object if they saw a tv show with 13year olds talking about sex, that's the truth. There is a big maturity difference between middle schoolers and high schoolers. You seem like you are very mature for your age, but most middle schoolers aren't, and that is why the "real" shows have high schoolers featured.

I hope that helped you understand a little better, it sucks i guess, but it makes sense.

you can't really train your dogs to hump things, that's stupid, dogs jump hump things on their own because they have hormones just like us lol

I think that your healthy weight goal should be 135-145. That would be a healthy weight for you.
Since you are a little overweight, you definitely need to start doing cardio and eating better. I suggest either running or doing the tredmill or other machine at your local gym for 1 hour 5 days a week. You can also go for long walks, do jumping jacks, walk up and down stairs, and rent workout cardio videos or tae bo.

Every morning, try to eat a 200 calorie breakfast. If you like yogurt, get some light and fit. it has only 60 calories per serving and the peach flavor is soooo delicious :)
also, get some whole grain cereals and try to add fruit to them when you eat them.
If you can, eat salads for lunch most of the time, but use a salad dressing that isn't creamy because those have a lot more calories.
at dinner, eat what your family normally would, but take small portions and don't get seconds.

well, there is one big risk: PREGNANCY. hopefully you are taking the right precautions-condoms, the pill (or patch). If you're having sex that much (which is quite a lot) you have a much higher chance of pregnancy, so I would advise being on the pill as well as using a condom all or most times you have sex.
also, you could possibly get std's, or sti's

if you are having rough sex, you might also get pretty sore after a while which could interfere with normal everyday activities.

if I were you, keep having sex, but maybe only once or twice a day to lower your chance of pregnancy, and also so that you have time to do other things with your boyfriend and build a real relationship, because that will make sex more enjoyable for you as well.



I'm a 28 A cup and the problem I'm having is that they don't seem to make 28 A's. I've found some 30 A's, which I can wear on the last hook, but If anyone knows where I might find a 28 A then that'd be great.

Also, I'm 5'1 maybe 5'2 and I weigh 107. but I want to lose 10 lbs at the least by the end of summer hopefully 17 if I can make it. I just want to know if this is possible? Please dont give me a meal plan though because I already have one thats been working for me. I just want some excercises that will tone my legs and arms, but please don't include running or swimming because lets face it thats torture for me and I wouldn't keep it up. As for my stomach, Will 200 crunches a day tone it and when will results appear? (its already flat with a little bit of muscle, but i want more lol).

I think that it's great that you want to get in chape and stuff, but the truth is, if you lost 10 pounds you would technically be underweight. it is important to be at a healthy weight, and being underweight can cause very serious health issues with your bones, blood, and entire body. If you lost 17 pounds you would be DANGEROUSLY underweight. What I suggest is continuing your meal plan, that is great that it works for you, but make sure that it is atleast 1000 calories a day, probably 1200-1500 would be best. I think that you should focus on achieving the look you want rather than the number on the scale. If you do excercises you aren't going to lose a lot of weight, since muscle weighs more than fat, but you will look much more toned and fit.
for excercises I suggest using free weights, probably 8 pounders and move to 12 or fifteen pounds later. do regular bicep curls, then put it behind your shoulders for tricep curls. try to do 20 pushups a day. also, do calf raises. stand flat footed and lift yourself onto the balls of your feet and then back down. for thighs you can do wall sits where you sjust sit with you knees perpendicular to the wall, it's tricky but you should try it.
biking helps tone legs as well,
yes, crunches help, but google crunches and find a few different ways to do them, because doing 200 of the regular ones won't tone your obliques and stuff.

I am depressed over this I need to learn spanish and I want to be able to understand it and speak it. My spanish teacher told me I can move to another country for a family and learn it for about a month. Is there any other options. I need to learn it. (link)
that actually is a good idea. there are a ton of programs out there that can help. you just go somewhere for about a month over the summer, either with other high school students, or with a family and improve your spanish.
you can also volunteer at perhaps a center that helps a lot of hispanic kids, because that way you can teach them something like art, and in return you can have conversations in spanish with them.
there isn't much else you can do, except take spanish classes over the summer and buy spanish books to read or cd's to help you.

to be honest, probably not. I guess it's possible, but colleges have been looking at SAT scores less and less lately because they don't really represent how good a student the person is. If you want to get into good colleges you really need to pull your grades up to the A averages, and if that isn't possible, you need to get more involved with extra curriculars or community service, arts, something, if you want any shot at all.

I've been getting random bruises lately. Usually on my arms & legs. The other day my parents pointed out that I had a huge bruise on the back of my leg. It's basically as big as a cell phone. It's purpleish & has dots in it so it's obvious that there's a lot of broken blood vessels. I'll also get smaller sized bruises that are greenish/yellow. I usually get those more often. The problem is, I never remember how I get them. When you bruise yourself, especially when it's a huge bruise, you know that you bumped into something or fell. The bruises I get show up randomly. Does anyone get these too or have any idea on why I'm getting them? I haven't been bumping into things or anything weird like that. They are random & I always have at least two. Thanks!! (link)
well, you could just be a very active, rough person with a very low tolerance for pain, which would explain why you don't remember getting them.
you might also have a condition that slows the clogging of your blood which could lead to excessive bruising. I suggest talking to your doctor, i don't think you need to see him/her immediately but if you don't have any sort of appointed for sometime soon i think you should set one up, because if it is some sort of condition there is probably prescription medication you can take to help it, because bruises suck!

Say I have ..scratch that, I DO have a really big butt. If I do excercizes that firm up my butt, will they firm up my BIG butt? Or will my butt lose weight FIRST, so it becomes smaller, and THEN become firm?

butt exercises will make your butt "nicer" and more toned, but it won't make it smaller. the only way to do that is to lose weight, do cardio, and eat well


ok, im 14/f and in 9th grade. im only five feet tall and i weigh between 85 && 95 pounds. im very skinny and always have been but people often accuse me of being anorexic or bulemic. but with the about of food i eat in one day you would wonder why im not obeese or w/e. i 'try' gaining weight but it doesnt work. the nurse at school had a few people talk to her and they're worried about me but im fine. she often weighs me and every so often ill lose or gain a pound or two. what do i do? how do i get people to stop accusing me? like, nothing wrong with me but why am i like this? there isn't too much you can do, because if you try to gain weight to hard you could mess up your health by consuming too much fat, cholesterol, and sugar and could get diabetes or such. I suggest trying to incorporate more meat into your diet, and also to eat a lot of whole wheats, ALOT!

in a couple of years you will probably put on some weight and get curves, but until then try not to let people bother you. Honestly, they are just jealous that you have such a naturally high metabolism.

until you become more shapely, try not to wear overly bearing clothes. halter tops and short shorts can expose bones that might make people nervous that you have an eating disorder. Just keep eating and you will be fine!

also, you could try weight training. using free weights, barbells, and exercise equipment at your local gym will really help! the muscle will add weight and mass to your body, and you will appear less skinny, and more toned!

ok, I know I'm a horrible person.. but I need your help. so, I am 15, and I have a boyfriend. I've been his girlfriend for 2 weeks and one day.. since then, we've hung out ONCE, and he call me ONCE, we've never kissed, we don't hold hands, but we do hug. He's never called me pretty, or complemented me in any way like that. I almost feel like I'm just a friend.

Then there is this other boy, who I hang out with almost every weekend, and we've been hanging out at lunch, in the library. He calls me every night right before we go to bed. He calls me beautiful, and cute all the time. He just recently broke up with his girlfriend, and I think he wants me to break up with my boyfriend.

I feel like my actual boyfriend is less of one than the other boy. I don't like my boyfriend as much as before, and I do like the other one, and he likes me back. The problem is, I'm going to feel bad if I dump him. I am his first girlfriend, and it only has been about 2 weeks. I don't know what to do, stay with him or break up?

hmmm, well i think you should talk to your actual boyfriend and see whats going on, because he might just be nervous and not sure what to do. once he gets over that, you guys might be fine. but if he still doesn't make any effort to get close, or even be NICE, then dump him. so i have been participating in musicals since i was nine. past roles = annie in annie at school. brigitta in sound of music at a theater near by... um White Queen in Wonderland
and I really want to be Rizzo or Sandy in Grease this summer for acting camp.

anyhow, i dream about being a Broadway actress. Problem: I can't dance very well. I'm not the worst, but I'm much more talented at singing and acting.
I want to go beyond school plays, but don't have money for lessons or anything. Tips? (link)
ok, well anyone can learn to dance, it just takes time and patience!
first of all, try to find a friend or adult or kid or anyone who can maybe teach you a few steps just to get you going.
then, watch some movies like grease, flashdance, footloose, and oldies like that (or new movies) where there are lots of dancing scenes. keep watching one scene over and over until you can do every part of the dance perfectly. if you keep doing that, and keep working at it, you may not have perfect rhythm or be a natural, but it will become much easier for you to pick up choreography, which is all you need in musicals.

ok, for example: I just did it and i picked "9" and it was green. so now the game computer knows i have a green one. then in the little "houses" it puts one number of each color in each house, which means that the house i picked has only one green, so obviously my number is nine. then at the end, no matter what door you open, nine is behind it. pretty simple, i've actually seen trickier ones though that are pretty cool

if you only eat fruit than you will be malnourished. you need to incorporate vegetables, whole grains, and meat/soy/protein into your diet, but you can still keep eating mostly fruits
just keep doing like cereal with fruit, pancakes with fruit, smoothies (ex. strawberries, bananas, orange juice, vanilla yogurt=delicious)

hmm wel i have a mac pro, and you could get iwork 07 which has keynote and pages, and pages has tons of different formats for brochures, resumes, invitations, catalogs, etc...
also, just go to a computer store and buy adobe paint shop and make sure it is the version that works with macs.
also...paint shop. I'd just suggest going to a store such as best buy, because you would find multiple applications that are compatible with macs
