I've been getting random bruises lately. Usually on my arms & legs. The other day my parents pointed out that I had a huge bruise on the back of my leg. It's basically as big as a cell phone. It's purpleish & has dots in it so it's obvious that there's a lot of broken blood vessels. I'll also get smaller sized bruises that are greenish/yellow. I usually get those more often. The problem is, I never remember how I get them. When you bruise yourself, especially when it's a huge bruise, you know that you bumped into something or fell. The bruises I get show up randomly. Does anyone get these too or have any idea on why I'm getting them? I haven't been bumping into things or anything weird like that. They are random & I always have at least two. Thanks!!
Rainiexx answered Friday June 15 2007, 12:11 am: I've gotten them before.
its been about 6 months since they i haven't gottent hem again.
But you should just go check with your doctor.
When i went they said it was something in the blood.
But everything was fine, and they gave me a liquid medicine.
That helped, since they haven't retured.
But its not the same for everyone, maybe you should give it some time and if they keep appearing just go in for a check-up!
&hope everything turns out alright! :] [ Rainiexx's advice column | Ask Rainiexx A Question ]
superstarblue89 answered Thursday June 14 2007, 11:54 pm: I know that this is probably going to scare you crazy...but one of the early signs of cancer is unexplained bruising...if it's a common occurrence it might be something to talk to your doctor about and express some sort of concern...granted this isn't the only possibility...maybe your doing it in your sleep...I know I've done that before...but there shouldn't be that many of them...I would definitely talk to a doctor and see whats up but it's probably nothing to worry about but I'd go just to be safe [ superstarblue89's advice column | Ask superstarblue89 A Question ]
peebles7 answered Thursday June 14 2007, 11:30 pm: well, you could just be a very active, rough person with a very low tolerance for pain, which would explain why you don't remember getting them.
you might also have a condition that slows the clogging of your blood which could lead to excessive bruising. I suggest talking to your doctor, i don't think you need to see him/her immediately but if you don't have any sort of appointed for sometime soon i think you should set one up, because if it is some sort of condition there is probably prescription medication you can take to help it, because bruises suck!
ok, well i hope that helped [ peebles7's advice column | Ask peebles7 A Question ]
