first of all, stop calling her names. if shes your friend, you want to be supportive, not abrasive. second of all, go shopping with her sometime and pick out stuff that DOES look good on her. thirdly, it sounds like you're jealous. take a look at yourself and see if it's her that looks bad, or if its you that WANTS her to look bad. finally, be supportive of her wardrobe decisions. if you hear other people talking about her in a bad way, stick up for her. its tough, but be strong, it sounds like she needs a friend.

Q: Yesterday on New Years I made a painful decision. I decided that the relationship with a guy that I had been in love who decided to move away for a job had to be cut dead. be honest. if hes far away, and you dont like him anymore, and theres other people you want to see, you should let him know. you dont have to be all mean about it, like "You never called me on new years, you jerk!!"... but just tell him long distance relationships are hard and you cant do it anymore.

theyre popular because they're the bulk of what network tv offers these days. this is because they dont have to pay writers/actors for every episode, they just need to make it like a gameshow where one contestant wins at the end of the show/season.
Also, its attractive to people because its almost like theyre watching other peoples lives, which most people (nosy people) like to do.

exfoliate and moisturize dearie. st ives apricot scrub is good, i would also reccomend clean and clear facial scrub. its the one that says right on the bottle "smooth, round microscrubbers", like in those commercials i cant get out of my head. wash your face twice daily to avoid dirt buildup in the first place.
alternately, use some of those patch thingies that you rip off your face... biore makes them i think.

first things first. youre 15, slow down, relax. dont feel pressured into doing anything youre not comfortable doing.
secondly, you can do LOTS of stuff to have fun without getting into ill habits/sexual situations. When i was your age (im nearly 19 now) all my friends were getting into drugs and alcohol and sex, and I just wasnt ready. The great thing about it was that when I made the decision to NOT be pushed into all that garbage, I relaxed so much that I started having fun wherever I went.
Basicly what I'm trying to say is that you CAN have a good time without going outside your boundaries. dont let anyone push you past your comfort point. EVER. Just relax, smile, talk to people, and you'll start having a blast.

first of all, stop telling this girl who you like. if shes deliberately trying to hurt you, then screw her, she doesnt need to know who youre in to anyways. secondly, all you can do is be really smooth and confident, and dont make it look like youre *trying* to get him to notice you. if he already likes her, then forget about him and find someone cuter, smarter and funnier.
quick makeup tip that might help: lots of girls go waaaay heavy with makeup. seperate yourself from the crowd: try a pink/light red tinted gloss, very VERY little black eyeliner on the outer-bottom corner of the eyes, and a light shadow that compliments your eyes... doesnt directly relate to your problem, but it always helps to get a nice tip every now and again.

Q: I have 2 friends that I'm trying to convince to stop messing around with Marijuana before something really bad happens. Both of them happen to be singers in bands/choir/shows. Does smoking pot affect your vocal chords or ability to sing? I know regular tobacco messes it up, but does pot have the same effects? it has the potential to screw your vocal chords up. inhaling any kind of smoke does. they might just be using it as an excuse to get you to stop taking drugs altogether,, which is fine because theyre your friends and may be concerned for you. personally, and this is just me, I stay away from pot, cigarettes, and drugs in general really. anything that has the potential to screw up my vocal chords (im an actor/singer as well) just isnt worth it.
now as for whether its true or not, i havent heard anything along those lines. but vocal chords are fragile, and you might as well be gargling glass if you even *clear* your throat, so im not sure what kind of damage frequent pot smoke can do. ask a nurse/doctor if youre that concerned.
