Thomas Nast was a celebrity. In 1873, following his successful campaign against New York City’s Tweed Ring, he was billed as “The Prince of Caricaturists” for a lecture tour that lasted seven months. Nast used his Harper’s Weekly cartoons to crusade against New York City’s political boss William Magear Tweed, and he devised the Tammany tiger for this crusade. He popularized the elephant to symbolize the Republican Party and the donkey as the symbol for the Democratic Party, and created the "modern" image of Santa Claus. Following his death on December 7, 1902, Thomas Nast’s obituary in Harper’s Weekly stated, "He has been called, perhaps not with accuracy, but with substantial justice, the Father of American Caricature."

I'm not sure what category this really goes under, but I was curious on birth control.. Does it just make pmsing on a certain schedule so you know when? does it stop it for a certain amt of time? How does it work? (link)

Birth Control is a wonderful thing. There are many forms of Birth Control though. The Pill, shot, patch, and a ring you place in your vagina. I would recomend the pill. Its easy to take. You take it every single day for 3 weeks and on the 4th week you should have your peroid. The sunday after your peroid is when you start up on taking the pills again. Pills are easy to take just remeber to take them everyday. And you will always know when your peroid will be. I tried the patch and thats a hastle. I dont recomend that. The shot usually makes you gain weigh, about 20 pounds in one year! The ring just doesnt sound like a good idea!! hope I helped

okay. im 13 and theres a guy, named chad, whos 14. we went out for a while, almost 5 months. and then had this really strange period where he was acting really weird around me and when i confronted him about it. he said hed talk more. and i was like okay. the next day, though, he broke up with me. everybody that knows me and also him said he scrweed me over cause he knew id brake up with him. anyways, i went out with this guy named tyler after for only about 2 weeks, when we decided we were better friends. now chad keeps telling me he likes me again and i dont know whether to go out with him again or not. its complicated because i know hes a good boyfriend and all but its almost like he has 2 sides. like one side of him talks to me, and treats me like his girlfriend. [hugs, holding my hand, flirting like mad, etc.] and the other side of him is totally weird. he wont talk to me, he talks about girls he used to like, and walks away from me. im so confused because i like him a lot but it seems once we've been going out for a month or so turns in the bad side of like 5 of the 7 days of the week and i hate that. i apoligize for the length of this. and i hope someone has advice, experience, etc. thanks in advance. Dont fell bad. Its nothing you are doing. He is a 14 year old guy. They are all immature!! Guys are immature untill they are about 30 seriously. Dont worry soo much on having a serious relationship with him because honestly, you guys are too young. Just be boyfriend and girlfriend and just do what you all want to do. Okay? Live like a 13 year old girl! Love life and dont stress over guys untill you are atleast 35. lol.
