i am working on an essay and i want to know how good/bad my thesis statement is or how i can make it better.
this is it :
river valleys and mountains had positive impacts on regions by improving cultural diffusion with trade and preserving cultural diversity with natural barriers, they had negative impacts with no natural barriers to protect them from invasion and less food from farming.
Your thesis sounds really good. If it covers what your paper is about than its perfectly fine.=)

well i used to like this guy named *ray and well i wrote him a letter sayin he was cute then my best guy friend went up to him and asked ray if he like me he said:oh yeah i know who she is, shes cute. then later by 2nd semester i had him for 4th pd. we said our occ. "hey" or "wassup" but we never talked to each other.. his best friend would only ask about me. then later i find he has been tryin to hook up with this girl name *dana and now they're boyfriend and g/f, thwy've been goin out for 2 weeks now. does he sound like he ever liked me? or not.? and also i think his younger brother is cute, would it be wrong to hit on his brother? & no, i'm not tryin to make him jealous,when i 1st saw them both i both said they were cute.p.s. im kinda scared that ray might be mad if i start to take a hit on his brother.?
So basically your question(s) are: 1.Did it ever seem like "ray" liked me? 2. Would it be wrong to hit on his younger brother?
Im not for sure, but if you never really talked and he never got to know you. He may not of liked you. If he thought you were cute and you guys at least made a conversation there is chance he might of.
Now for you liking his younger brother... Depends on how old. If he is like 1 or 2 years younger its not that bad. But if he is like 3-4 years younger ehh i wouldnt. If your scared he will get mad. Maybe ask him. Be like Hey ray, I know this sounds kinda akward ,but if i kind of thought your brother was cute and had a crush on him would that be allright with you? and if he says no than that solves your fears and if he says yes than dont do it.. But if you truely like this guy (rays younger brother) and ray dosent aprove. Than its either loseing a friendship or gaining a crush? Depends which one means more to you..

Just making sure. When using a conjunction like "and" or "but" you put the comma after it correct? Say if i said "She likes eggs but, he doesn't." Was that right? Im just making sure for my report :] thank you
No you do not.
Ex: I was putting away the forks and, the spoons
^ That would be the wrong way

The comma always goes before the conjunction, not after.

Okay my friend played basketball and she has bangs she would take one of those clips that are flat and put them up and i doubt they would pull it out its lays flat on your head and you cant see it that much. So im sure that would work

ok, so i bought those leggings that go down like, halfway through your shins that im gunna wear with mini skirts. but i dont know what shoes to wear with them. im in 7th grade, so i deffinatly dont want to wear pumps to school, but i cant think of any other shoes to wear that would look good besides these flats i have, but they give me wiked bad blisters.plus they wont match much. so i was wondering if sneakers would look good. i have white low top air forces.

I have to do a community service project for school and I can't think of anything to do. People are already doing the whole nursing home scene; and like donating stuff to charity. Anyone got any clever ideas? Thank kiddos =]
Plant trees, Help pick up the roads, Go to a charity and serve food, Help a aniaml shelter, Do the whole animal shelter scene ;]. Like work there for community hours and feed them,clean their cages,help around.

My best friend recently cut his wrists and was waiting to die. He's at the hospital, he's okay, and he knows what he did is stupid. This is some serious matter to drop on someone, so I was wondering how to lighten my mood. I'd appreciate any advice that will calm and level myself before I talk to him.
Listen to music, Relax,Take a nap haha, Read if you like reading, When im in that kinda mood. I usally listen to music, Watch some TV to get your mind of it for a little while.

I persinally didnt like the movie. Im not a romantic movie person. But it wasnt TERRBILE! It's about a women who is very dedicated to her work and dosent want a relationship. She gets hurt and ends up in a como from the time she is in a como she meets a man and starts falling inlove with him from her spirit. Because he moves into her apartment. Its kinda cute and i guess you could say perfect for valentines day.

Ok, today I got my ears pierced and the woman the did it apparently wasn't trained well. She told me that I need to take them out every night and clean them. So I took them out and she hadn't evened the hole where you put the earring in. So I can't get either of my earrings in and my mom is now mad at me. I have worked with it for about 20 minutes and still can't get it in. Any Ideas?
NEVER and i mean NEVER take your earings out after you get them done.What i would do is let them close up and then go back to where ever you got them done and get a refund. After that go to another place and get your ears repeirced. Then keep them in for 6 weeks and clean them WITH the earing in.

is it true that an ionic hair straightener doesnt burn the hair as much as a normal one? i need a new straightener and i was either going to get the chi or one called striaght for you. they sell it in the smithhaven mall and it is ionic. which one do you think would be better?
Chis work GREAT! but i would go with the ionic i know people who have them and they dont do as much damage to your hair. But it will still burn it if you straighten it ALL the time =D
