On tuesday, which is a couple days away, my friend is having a mixed boys and girls sleepover with like 15 people and we are going to try to pull an all nighter cos we're staying in her caravan and there's hardly enough room for us to all sleep in there.
I am crap at staying awake, so I would like some tips on how to do it.

I thought maybe it would be best if I got lots of sleep so I wouldn't be tired on tuesday but then I thought that I would get into that routine and my body clock would tell me to go to sleep early tuesday night, so maybe I should start going to bed later? Or maybe I should just go to sleep the usual time?

There is going to be alcohol there, how much should I drink? It's a depressant so If I drink lots will it make me more tired?

And I would like to know how I can get into a normal routine after tuesday night.
So if you have any tips on how to stay awake then please tell me, and answer the questions above please. Thanks in advance, xxx

for me, if i go to bed at like 4 in the morning and sleep in and make a habit of it, i'm going to keep being able to go to bed late. so try to go to bed really late so that you get used to it a few nights before.
if you want to stay awake, don't just lay around and watch movies. you'll get tired! try to keep yourself busy so that you don't actually realize how tired you are, becuase when you sit around and do nothing, you're going to fall asleep.
energy drinks! my whole family is hooked on them. so far i'd have to say that monster's the best.
don't drink a lot of alcohol. keep one drink in your hand for awhile so that people don't bug you about drinking even more.
after tuesday night, you're going to be EXHAUSTED. i went a party and there were guys and girls there and we pulled an all nighter. i had a soccer game the next morning, and i was exhausted -i fell asleep on the way there. you'll probably be passed out no later than 5 o'clock. just try to go to bed earlier to get into your normal sleeping habits.

i know a lot of people go to sleepaway summer camps for like the entire summer and just love it. well i have never been to one and i definitely dont think i would want to go all summer. but i really want a way to get out there and meet new people, make more friends and have fun. are there any sleep away camps like this that only go for a short period of time? like maybe a week or 2? i want to go but i am kind of shy at first and im not too good at talking to new people, so i think i would try to convince a friend of mine to go with me. do you think it would be a good idea? and any other suggestions, thanks

She's a woman, and she's gone through it too -so she should know that it would happen to you eventually. Just say to your mom "mom, I just got my period the other day." It may seem really nervewrecking, but it really isn't too bad. It's not like you're telling her that you found out you have a sever illness and you're gonna die in 3 days. haha but it's normal, and probably not a big deal.

Don't worry about it. Strands of my hair fall out all the time, I wash my hair everyday, and straighten my hair around 4-5 times a week. My hair is still extremely thick, so you have absolutely nothing to worry about. You're fine, you won't go bald - I promise!

I'm a freshman in high school. And there are sophomores and juniors in my spanish class. So, everyday they bother and harass me. Today, it got to the point where they were trying to grab my boobs. They were kidding...but one of them grabbed my chest, hard and another guy HIT my chest, by accident. They didn't apologize...just shrugged it off...kind of like "Oh look at the freshman. Say something to them, or especially to your teacher. You shouldn't have to feel violated in SCHOOL. If you're uncomfortable with anything that someone is doing, don't let them -and if they do it anyway tell an adult. Let your teacher know in private so if they keep on bothering you, he/she can say something to them, so you're not technically telling on them (if you're worried about your rep) But definately day something, nobody deserves to go to school afraid of being touched by immature guys. That's sexual harassment, and I know somebody that got suspended from school in the beginning of the year for the whole year, just for basically doing the same thing as these boys.

You can try to be friends with her too. I used to be really cliquey, until none of my friends were in half of my classes. I was left out and felt like I had no friends because I'm not really super close with anybody, I'm just close with my certain 4 friends. I wasn't really comfortable around other people that I'm usually just acquantences with because I'm always with the same friends all the time. I wish I wasn't so cliquey. Honestly, a person can't technically take your friends away from you, it's alright if your friends made a new friend - don't be mean to her, be nice and maybe she'll end up being one of your best friends. Try not to include yourself in just you clique, try to be closer friends with people outside of your group. It really helps, and in the future you'll be more accustomed to making new close friends. I'm strating to make new friends this year, and I honestly feel like I'm coming out of a shell.

i may not be able to do soccer this year.. or if i will i want to train. what are some things i can work on? i have a soccer ball.. and sometimes i dribble around the house but outside is snowy, and even later theres not much open space for me to practice because our park has hills and my backyard is mostly forrest. whatare the skills i need to get? im a 13 year old girl, and i've played 3 seasons of soccer in recreation. im good at running, but i think i need more stamina. how can i pace myself when running around the neighborhood? so i dont run too little or too much and i can improve? like how many days do i need to run and etc? also what are some other things i could do so im in the best condition for soccer? thankyou.

If it's snowy outside, why not work on your moves inside? Grab your soccer ball and you can even do this in front of your tv. Work on your toe touches, and moving the ball back and forth in between your feet. It really helps to work on ball control, without having to go outside. You can just watch tv while you're doing it, so that you're not concentrating on looking down at the ball -you wan't to try not to do that. As for running, you want to be in great shape. Running a mile or so a day would be fine. If you run perimeters for soccer at your school, try to do that with a friend. (I have to do perimeters during preseason for soccer, so me and a few of my friends run it togeter -just so that we're not dead by the time tryouts come around) Don't plan on running everyday. You need to take a day off from running, because it's not good ot excercise 7 days a week.
