I am a very high-performing student. I have never in my entire life gotten below an 86 on report cards, and have an IQ of 143, which I think is pretty good for my age.
I always used to sit in class and be bored as the teacher rambled on for days on things I could not grasp why others did not understand. There were a bunch of helping classes for low-performing students, but never any AP classes. I mean it's only middle school, but you know, it's four years in the same school.
Just this year (8th grade) they installed an AP Algebra class, but I am terribly bored in other subjects, especially English, which is basically full of idiots.
My question is, why did no one ever install advanced classes, but always gave tons of funding to help classes to kids who aren't going to amount to much anyway? I feel held back and kind of betrayed. Can someone explain it to me? I'm not too informed on the No Child Left Behind Act, but someone told me that's why we never got to get ahead. Now I'm learning stuff that's a year ahead of regular classes for Math, but what about other classes? I get really upset about this.

It's really presumptuous for you to say that someone will not amount to anything. Some people have learning disabilities, and they need the extra help. The point is to get an educated country.
Also, if you felt this was affecting you, you should have done something (talked to administration or switched schools). Instead, you just sat there and criticized everyone else who may do less well in school. If you feel strongly about something, you should take action. It's a shame some people don't value their education, and that is upsetting. But, there are other people who genuinely need help, and it is not fair to judge them by saying they are idiots.
Be lucky you were blessed with intelligence, but remember that doesn't make you better than someone else.

It's hard to tell because you say she is not fighting with anyone, bu that you two didn't hang out for a year. You're going to have to use your judgement. Was she a mean person when you hung out? Did she only talk to you because she needed something?
If you can't figure it out, give her a chance and hang out with her and if you detect any signs of her just using you, then stop hanging out with her.

You're not supposed to bleed much after having sex for the first time. It does vary from girl to girl. If he was rough with you, it makes sense that you would be bleeding, especially if it is your first time. I don't know how long you have been bleeding...but if it's past the first day, definitely go get checked out.
It seems like you don't know anything about your own body because of what you said and because of your actions. You had unprotected sex and had no form of protection. Do you even know if the guy has any STIs?
Spend more time worrying how to write properly and not doing things that can lead to problems.

Well, I'm not a guy, but I think I would date the person.
Just because you date someone doesn't mean you will marry them. So what difference will your religions make then?
I say go for it. If you like the girl and you feel she is special, do it. Explain to your parents how much you like her, and nicely tell them that you are going to be with her.
It's not fair that you have to miss out on something that is meaningful to you because of your religious beliefs.

If you really want to be with him, talk to your friend. Tell her that you thought you didn't like him, but you were wrong. If she has no problem with it, go for it! Just make sure you take her feelings into consideration and be honest.

I don't know if you can do that with Blockbuster. I guess you can call and ask so you don't actually waste a trip by going.
If not,go online and find a video store that sells old movies.
If that doesn't work, rush order the movie off of Amazon and let him know you ordered his gift online and it hasn't arrived yet.

well i figured out recently that i have trust issues.
i get jealous a lot with my boyfriend n stuff. because i love him and i just cant lose him. and i hope that he loves me the same. and all things point to yes and he may love me more than i love him. im not sure. i just know i trust females way more than guys because my dad is kinda untrustworthy and also hearing about all these guys cheating n stuff. i cant handle my love cheating. and he said hed never. and he gets worked up if i mention it and he said hed never im the only one he wants n stuff.
and i had a dream that i was in his room and he layed down in his bed and my friend was right next to him laying down. and then i got jealous and moved her a bit and got in the middle of them and he n i started cuddling . and i was talking about it with my friend from the dream and we both interpreted that the dream for me meant that... if i am not jealous and take actions sometimes, then i lose him. but if i am a lil jealous and do take appropriate action then i keep him. its not like hes straying. just other girls could take him away. and i love him . haha so much. and well. if other girls try to take away his heart.. you know what? theyre trying to take away MY hear. cause we traded hearts basically. lol yah. and i may seem immature but im not. i just need to get over my jealousy and trust issues because i should trust him!!!!! i never feel like hes cheating. i just get nervous at times when im reeeeally reminded of it. and he gets nervous of me too and wonders if im cheating sometimes haha . but its not hiiiimm. its the girrrlls. i never worry about him cheating, but i worry about girls hitting on him. that MAY lead him to cheat.

If you do trust him then you wouldn't think it MAY lead him to cheat. I know I felt pretty jealous about one of my boyfriend's good female friends. Worst of all, he used to like her and she used to like him...so I worried that maybe those feelings would resurface. But we spoke about the situation..many times. But, it helped. He accused me of not trusting him and I finally realized that though I trust him my actions showed otherwise. I learned to get over it (granted there are times I still have my little spurs of jealousy) because he is with me and if she likes him or not really doesn't matter (especially not to him).
The point is...if you know he is true to you...don't worry about if other girls like him. That just means you have an attractive boyfriend, and you can let the other girls be jealous of you. You'll probably still be a bit jealous, which is normal. But learn to control it and don't stress about it too much you may end up losing him if you don't worry about your actual relationship.

I think my boyfriend might have AIDS ....I know it sounds bad but I can't be too sure. Ever since my last boyfriend I've just been so cautious about every new relationship . Don't do anything until you are sure. It's not fair to you that he is not willing to get tested. Try telling him that you will also get tested with him, so he doesn't feel as awkward about it.

There can't be a 95% chance that you will get pregnant if you are using condoms and are on birth control, then that would mean that it only works for 5% of people who use it, which would not make it a good form of contraception. But, that isn't the case. You should be fine especially since you are using two forms of contraception and you are taking the steps to be safe.

If I am early decision-ing to a school and I don't know if I got in yet, but say that I do. Then, how much does the midyear report matter? (ex: C's and D's)? And do your final grades at the end of the year make a difference? Do the colleges see that as well? (link)

They do see the grades from the end of the school year because you have to send a final transcript. You have to make sure you pass your classes. If you are used to getting A's and B's...I think it'd be fine to get B's and C's. I would steer clear from D's. And I think if you do fail a class they could retract your decision.
I know I slacked off my last semester of high school. But I made sure to pass and not get any D's.

People laugh in my face when i say that being a kid isnt as easy as you think it is. Yes theyre the ones with all the bills and taxes, but we have to deal with all of their problems: for example devorce. Grades. Gossip. Teachers. Caring if what your wearing out of the house one day will make you cool. I know they were one kids themselves too, but they weren't kids in the 21st century. I mean, if you dont have the right phone, you not consisdered cool. I just need to know people have my back on this. We have to deal with everything they throw on us. They take advantage of the fact that they do everything, like "I worked my tail off" then when i say "So did i" they laugh in my face. being a kid (im 14) isnt that easy!!!!

I feel like the hardest part of being a kid is school. I mean it should be the most important thing anyway because education matters most.
I'm 19 now, and this is my second year living alone. I am halfway to the grownup point. And, I don't want to get there yet. I mean, I do want to finish school because it is stressful and I want to have a job because I feel like it's better than worrying about tests. But paying for my own cell phone bill, filing taxes or anything like that I am not looking forward to.
I can see how kids have it hard. But I think a lot of the stuff you think are difficult, you will realize when you are older was not worth stressing over. Like having the latest cell phone may make you cool, but if people are going to be friends with you because of that or because of what you wear, then it's not worth to have those people in your life.
I think life does get harder when you get older. When you start having a family, you can't just worry about you anymore, you have to worry about your kids. You work and have tasks then come home and have more to do.
I think being a kid is tough is dependant on how many responsibilities you actually have when you are a kid. Even then, they are adult responsibilities ( having a job, taking care of siblings, paying for bills, etc.)

Let me tell you something. I laugh a lot. I love hearing jokes and my friends and i can laugh for hours on end. we have so much fun. but i dunno, can laughing too much..be a bad thing? like today, i was with my boyfriend and some friends and a friend said something funny..so i laughed...thing is..i couldnt stop. i tried really hard...but i just couldn't. i almost feel like i annoy people from laughing too much, like my boyfriend. I've asked him about it and he says he loves my laugh...and that when i laugh it makes him smile. is there any chance he could still get annoyed from it? today, i had the big case of the "giggles"...and my boyfriend said "wow, you laugh at everything!" or "what's so funny...wait..that's not funny?" but every time he would say that..he would squeeze my hand and kiss my forehead. so im not sure....can laughing too much annoy your boyfriend/girlfriend? Is he just trying to cover up or something?
im just not fully convinced that it doesnt bother him. it's pretty sad when I even get annoyed at myself!!!! :P

Well from what you described, it seems like he has no problem with it. He said he loved your laugh and when he said that wasn't funny, it seemed like he was teasing you because he kissed your head or squeezed your hand. So I think he is fine with it.
I'm sure he could get annoyed with the laughing, if he is in a bad mood or already annoyed to begin with, then any little thing might upset him.

Ok. Well I'm not going to give out any names.

Well, if I were in your position...I would never date a person that one of my family members dated.
But everyone is different and that may not be the way to go for you. All you can really do is ask your sister and see what she says. If she is strongly opposed to it, then you shouldn't. Your sister is always going to be there for you, and you never know with that guy. Make sure you explain to her how you feel about him so she can understand where you are coming from.
