Early Decision If I am early decision-ing to a school and I don't know if I got in yet, but say that I do. Then, how much does the midyear report matter? (ex: C's and D's)? And do your final grades at the end of the year make a difference? Do the colleges see that as well?

yes, colleges do still look at your final transcript- so if you get good grades up until the time you get your acceptance letter, and then your grades drop dramatically, colleges can reject your acceptance. in other words, the college sent you a preliminary acceptance and you still have a chance of screwing up so badly they'll reject you. ]
they do get your final transcript...senioritis is not something that you want to catch...if you fail or get a grade below their expectations based on your other grades including your first semester of senior year they can..and usually will retract your acceptance so keep up trying...don't slack off. Everyone says that senior year is cake...it's probably the hardest year of HS...just keep your grades up. ]
They do see the grades from the end of the school year because you have to send a final transcript. You have to make sure you pass your classes. If you are used to getting A's and B's...I think it'd be fine to get B's and C's. I would steer clear from D's. And I think if you do fail a class they could retract your decision.
I know I slacked off my last semester of high school. But I made sure to pass and not get any D's.
