okay well i was at my friends house lets call her julie, and my other best friend lets call him joe, well joe invited me and julie to his house to play flashlight tag, and we did and julie got tagged and well we were running to our hiding spot and he was like remeber that day i said i would give you kissing lessons? Okay so this kid I know asked me to "leave" with him. He told me I was the only girl he trusts, (hes a great friend, i help him in life a lot) and he wasn't pressuring me into leaving with him but he has a car and he doesn't like his home life and wanted me to go with him. My mom and I are really close, and she told me that since I was 16 I could date now. Well I got asked out by this really awesome guy, who I've been friends with for 3 years. And I said yea. Well I told my mom and she freaked. And the reaosn why, is because hes middle eastern. He's not muslim(and even if he was I'd date him), he's not a terroist, his family are not terroists..he just happens to be from Iraq. My mom is saying stuff like "Sure do what you want, get blown up". How can I make her understand that not all people from Iraq are like that!!
Remind her that there are bad and good people from all over the world. Some people from Iraq are bad and some are good. Its just like America or any other country in the world! Tell her to imagine meeting him if she was blind, and she didn't know he was from Iraq. She wouldn't be able to tell! Who you really are is what you are in the dark. (appearance doesn't matter)
Also tell her to imagine if someone that was Middle Eastern thought all Americans were evil just because Hitler was white. It wouldn't be right that way, so it isn't right this way either. If she imagined herself in his place, she might realize that judging someone before knowing them is wrong.

I have this ex-boyfriend who is now one of my best friends and we tell each other everything. He has told me, many times, how he's in love with me and wants me back. I don't feel the same way at all and get annoyed with his attempts to win me back. The real problem is, it seems everytime he gets a new girlfriend, I become very attracted to him again. I guess it's because 'you want what you can't have?' He says he doesn't even like these girls, but just wants someone to be with since he can't have me. I just can't believe myself when I fall for him only when he's with someone and it drives me crazy. What should I do? I really like him now but I know when he finds out, dumps his girlfriend, I won't feel the same!
Maybe you want a boyfriend and thats why you feel upset when he has a grilfriend. You could try dating other people and remain friends with this guy, or you could actually go out with him and see how you feel. Maybe you just need to give him another chance. Good luck. I hope I helped!

who says you have to completely make it? just get a white (or colored) mini skirt and a glittery shirt. buy some cheap fairy wings and a can of glittery hair spray. wear high heels and wear really glittery make up (eye shadow, lip gloss, ect.) you could even have a wand! i hope i helped!

When I started high school, my mom gave me the whole "You'll be starting college soon, so grades and extracurricular activities are important" speach, and she said that any extracurricular activity I wanted to sign up for was fine. She had no problem with me joining the school newspaper, art club, or drama club, but when I asked if I could join cheerleading, she said no because "cheerleading is for bimboes". I don't get why she would say that, it's a sport and it's an extracurricular activity, what's wrong with that? I think she's being unreasonable, but she won't even listen to me. What should I say to her that will make her change her mind?
You should say that there ARE cheerleading scholarships for college and its a good/fun way to stay in shape. And even if you can't get a scholorship, you can put it on your resume. (It shows you are able to work in a group and have good teamwork skills.) I hope I helped! Good luck!

if there are me and my friend babysitting for 3 1/2 hours is $30 enough to split for both of us
i usually babysit for 4-5 dollars an hour so if i babysat for 3 1/2 hours, i would make 12-15 dollars, which seems fair for me. it also sorta depends if the child is extrememly calm or out of control and takes lots of energy. in my opinion, 15 dollars for the both of you is enough. i hope i helped!

Okay, so I only just turned 13, and I want to become a professional singer.
I've always wanted to be one. Now I want to be one so bad I'll do anything. After seeing JoJo become a singer and she's only 13, I think I could do it too.
What I need to know is where I can go to shove my singing career off the ground. I've had private lessons on singing, and the only problem is I have stage fright of singing infront of people.

professional: becoming a professional singer is a long road and many people dont make it. but if you're determined enough you can. just practice and practice until you even impress yourself. to get known, look into those singing contests (in the very back of magazines like seventeen, cosmogirl, ect.) you could even make a demo tape and send it to a record company

okay, if someone has been smoking pot for 3 years, normally how hard is it and how long will it take for them to quit? and when htey do try to quit, what are soem withdrawal syptoms that me, as his girlfriend, could face with him? and how can i help him through it and be supportive of him without being super pushy. will i have to keep a close eye on him and ask him all the time how he's doing? i have never helpoed anyone over an addiction...so i really dont know what to expect...soem one please help me
