I'm a 17 year old girl from the East Coast of the United States.

Although i'm young, i've been through my share of problems.

I'm not going to tell you I can answer any question, but I'll certainly try.

I don't judge people because of the fact that I don't like to be judged myself.

I'm generally a nice person, but if you give me attitude, you won't be happy with my response.

I love listening to music, etc.

I have a job & have volunteered before,

I've been through drivers ed & have my license + a car,

I'm going to be a senior next year so I can help you with high school experiences.

All in all, i'll try to help you no matter what.

I also tend to reference websites when giving my answers because then I have proof that my advice is valid.

ok, i was supposed to get my period the day my boyfriend and i had sex. He didnt use a condom. and kinda cam right as he pulled out. i dont think any got IN me but i know it was on me. could i be pregnant?

We can't really tell you if you're pregnant or not. There's a chance you could be, but you should get a pregnancy test to make sure. You can find those in most places. I know where I work we sell them, and I work in a grocery store.

Ok well my dog Adrian died and its really hard for me and i keep thinking about her....And i WONT ever forget her though....And i like loved her and i still do and shes buried in the backyard so i can see her...And it just makes it harder....Please Help...

Okay. When I was growing up, I had this dog named Teddy. Teddy was amazing and I loved him soo much. One day, my dad decided that we can't keep Teddy anymore because we couldn't train him to go to the bathroom outside, he'd always do it in the house. They took Teddy away and I haven't seen him / heard anything about him for years. I still miss him, of course, but it's easier now because it's been a while.

I think you should, if possible, get a new pet. It'll help you take your mind off your dog. Although I understand you'll never forget Adrian, it'll be easier if you can take your mind off her. Over time, you'll get more used to it, and feel better.

So theres this boy called denzel and i think i love him because all i do is think about him. i dated him for about 6 months...im 15 by the way so that is a long time :-). i also slept with him 3 times. Thing is he used to date my friend laura but he only did so for 3 weekz or so. He told me he loved me many times.

No, you shouldn't still "love" him. He lied to you, and that should be enough for you to realize he could do it again. Do you really want to love someone who won't be truthful with you and who you can't actually trust fully?

Well, it really depends on the guy & his height. Some guys think tall girls are attractive, especially if he's a tall guy. Some don't.

kay i guess these are typical highschool questions but PLEASE answer them.
- what should I bring on the 1st day?
- Should I carry a backpack or a messenger bag type thing?
- Is it easy to find your classes? If not, any tips?

I'll be a senior next year, so I think I can help you out.

1] On your first day, you don't need to bring much. Teachers don't expect it or anything, so what I suggest to bring is just a pencil/pen, and a notebook. That way if the teacher tells you anything you need to rememmber, you can write it down.

2] You can bring a backpack if you'd like, but I wouldn't bother. It's just an extra thing to carry on a first day. I'd say to bring a purse [if you're a girl] and just keep what you need in there/with you.

3] Finding classes was difficult for me because my school consists of three buildings. It was hard, yeah, but I got used to it. If you need help on where to find things, ask any teacher you see. They like to stand in the halls to help you out & they're almost always nice about it.

4] I think you should bring your lunch. You never know what the lunches are like at your school and the majority of students [at my school, at least] bring lunch because it's easier.

5] If you really don't know anybody, look for a friendly face. If they seem like they're sitting alone or don't know anybody either, ask to sit with them. It doesn't hurt to do that. If you'd rather not do that because you're too shy, and have absolutely noone to sit with, I'd say to just walk around the school. Learn where everything is, and make friends the next day. It won't be hard to find people to sit with, but I used to think the exact same way as you do.

6] I dunno about "remediate" classes because my school doesn't have those. Sorry.

7] All schools are different about things like that. My schedule is weird and based on 7 days, so the classes aren't in the sme order or anything.

Remember, high school isn't nearly as bad as you think. :]

I don't think you should drink with him. With that kind of age difference, it'll just lead to bad things. Just tell him you changed your mind or you're just not in the mood for any. It's nice that you're friends with him & all, but in all honesty, drinking with him [when he works with the police] and where it's illegal, is not the best idea.

How do you know what eyebrow shapes look good on you? Does it depend on your face shape, the size of your eyes.. ? if you have big eyelids.. or what? Is there a shape that opens up your eyes more?

so jonathan likes me and i like jonathan. we're kinda like, "talking"..but not going out yet. we've been talking for about 1 month.

[yesterday morning] So i was mad at him for something stupid, but then i got over it. he apologized and i accepted it.

[yesterday night-->]so usually we talk on myspace practically every day. and my friend breanna and him are friends. and she told me that he was going to ask me out but, then i got mad so ..he "forgot"...[yea..right] but that's not what bothered me. well if you have a myspace you'll usually see bulletins like..if you're single,taken and happy,..stuff like that. so he posted one saying he's TAKEN AND LOVING IT!!...and then he posted another saying the same thing..

AND YESTERDAY HE WANTED ME TO CALL HIM..he made it sound URGENT..and i'm so nervous.

please just answer these questions and tell me honestly what you think.

1] Nobody here can tell you why he wants you to call him right away, but there's a chance that could be the reason. It could be a family emergency or something like that. None of us will know, you can only find out yourself. Call him up & ask him what it's about.

2] It, once again, could mean anything. He might be trying to impress his friends or it could be an inside joke with his friends, etc. You really won't know unless you ask him yourself.

3] There's a chance it could mean you, yeah. Sometimes guys just assume they're going out with a girl if the feelings seem mutual & they're too shy to actually ask "Will you go out with me?". If he's really been hinting that you're his girlfriend, then there's a chance you are. Call him up & ask him.

None of us can really help you with this. The only real way to find out the answers you want, is to call him up yourself & ask.

me and best friend are going on a long(about 2 and a half hours) car ride in a couple days. i need some fun things we can do in the car. we're both 14 and girls. so nothing like finding certain roadsigns or making words out of license plates, because thats dumb. i have a laptop, but i wont get the internet while we're driving, so we cant do anything on the internet. theres going to be like 4 other people in the car, so it cant be anything like obnoxiously loud or anything.

Welll, 2 & a half hours is not long at all. I was in 17 hour & 15 1/2 hour ones before with my familyy. Since you have the laptop, rent a good dvd, & watch it with your friend. Bring an iPod if you have one, and you both can listen to one headphone each. Bring lots of food so you can waste time eating. You could always bring a Gameboy if you think you're going to get really bored because gameboy's are fun at any age. :P

Maybe you could take some paper & draw, or play MASH with your friend because that's an old, yet fun, game. Uhm, that's all I can think up for now. If you need anything else, let me know.

im very good about keeping my room clean, except when i have friends over. we make a big mess and i know im suppose to clean up whatever im done with, but i dont want to when friends are over.

i dont mind cleaning it myself, but i was just wondering if anyone had any ideas on making cleaning my room more fun. or go faster.

i usually listen to music or something. and i get done after a few songs. and i sometimes watch t.v. and on commercials clean as much as i can.

I hate cleaning, but yeah.

What I do, to keep myself cleaning, is reward myself or set goals. I'll be like "If I don't have this part of the room done by 5, I won't eat dinner til it's clean", etc. Or i'll be like "I need this clean by 5 so I can watch a tv show, or else I can't watch it".
That makes me clean faster.
That, and the fact that my dad'll go nuts if he sees my room isn't done when he gets home.

Also, when my little cousins came over, I'd pay them each a dollar to clean my room. :D
They'd totally do it, because a dollar is "soo" much money to them.

Other than that, it's not really a fun job unless you make it fun. While you're cleaning & your music's on, get up and just start dancing :P
It makes it more fun [for me, at least]. Or call someone up and talk to them while you clean.

ok i really need some advice so plaease help.
me and my friends have become very good friends with our substitue teacher at school. he is 40. and we are 16. he works with the police (drug buster) hes a security at the mall and we visit him every day. my mom knows him threw the school system becsacz shes a teacher. hes also in the army and is going away to iraq in a few weeks and we have been plannin to go out to eat before he leaves for about 6 months now. we are with him at the mall all the time and he drives us home sometimes. he alredy brought 1 of my friends to get pizza a few nights ago. and he jus asked me to do our food thing tuesday b4 he leaves. i have no problem doing that. he knows i love to drimnk (i dc that its illegal) he asked me what kind of alcohol i want becuase hes gunna buy me some for tuesday so i can dirnk. the thing that makes me think is that even though im good friends with him and i trust him ocmpletly, it seems sketchy that hes asking me to drink. i mean, i cood think of it as him bein my own age and bein jus friends, but like idno its jus weird that since hes 40 and im 16 and im gunna be drinkin with him. i do want to get suttin to eat wit him, but idno if i shood drink. please tell me what i should do. and if i shouldnt drink wit him, what are excuses i can tell him? Ok I really dont like bugs. I hate them, I wish they didnt exist. When I see a bug I panic and run and scream. I feel so stressed and sad when I see a bug. I feel like Im gunna cry and I feel dirty like I need to take a shower. bugs are like my greatest fear i think. in fact right now im on the computer because there is a bug in my room and im not even sure if its in there any more but im not goin back in. Everyone else is asleep, my dad is out and the living is too dark for me to sleep there and for all i know the bug could be there. Ive been up for two hours now trying to avoid this bug. I havent gone to sleep at all yet. Im so tired that im literally seeing things. I really want to lay down in my comfy bed, but i cant explain how afraid i am to step in there and possibly see that bug again. It took a lot from me to do that the first time, becuase I seen it and didnt kill it and a few minutes later i eventually slowly dimmed the lights till it was off and went to lay down again but sat up the whole time nervous. I seen it again and ran out the room and havnt gone back since. Your probably laughing but I just have this feeling of extreme scaredness or w/e and like I just cant do it because Im going to cry. What should I do now and in the future when it comes to bugs ?

Keep in mind, bugs can't harm you. The only kinds that can would be bees, but that's not even that bad. I've been stung by a bee twice, and it wasn't as bad as I thought. Just felt like a quick, sharp pain in my arm.

I'm afraid of bugs too, but when one comes near me I get someone else to kill it. Leave your door / window open & the bug will find a way out. I'm sure it doesn't want to be near you because you're bigger than it and can actually cause it pain.

Bugs are small creatures and aren't there to disrupt your sleeping. If you really feel too scared to sleep with it there, go in and try to kill it. Close your eyes and act like you're doing something else, I guess.

Other than that, I'll just tell you to face the fear now before it gets worse. Some day you're going to be in a situation where a fear of bugs will be a very bad fear to have. Imagine camping!

Okay, I don`t play any sports & I`m not the most athletic person. My parents really want me to do something & so do I, but there`s nothing fun that I`d think I`d be interested in doing. So, is there anything else, like besides sports that I could do? (Acting classes, etc.)

Hmm. I think something that i found fun was volunteering. Although I only did it because it's a requirement to graduate, I found it very enjoyable. I volunteered at a local hospital one day a week. I only did it for a school year + summer, and had over 100 hours of community service. Although it doesn't -sound- fun, I found it fun. Maybe it's because I don't mind hospitals and I love helping people, but yeah.

If you don't want to do anything like that, then just try some summer classes. Like you said, acting classes. Maybe try some other things too, like art classes, swimming lessons, etc.

If you don't want to do those either, then try getting a job. I suggest working where you can interact with others. That way, you'll be making money & have some fun. You didn't indicate how old you are, but if you're too young to get a job like that, then try babysitting. Either way, your parents will be happy with your decision and I'm sure you will be too.
