I'm 13/f, and I've been really sad lately. I'm in 8th grade, and for a while I had a lot of excitement in my life; I had my bat mitzvah during the summer, and I've been feeling that my life has been dull. I had been sad about my friends and guys, sad in general, especially at night. One night, I got so sad I cut myself...
I'm feeling depressed and I don't know what to do:(

Hi...Im at school right and im not the most popular person.but, im really funny and have a great personality..(not to be cocky) But, I seem to be more on the loser side, which is bad :( I dont fit in anywhere...i just take up space in the school. As a post-election project. My teacher wants each of us to write and give an oral report about which party we support and why.
I am a communist, and communists tend to be frowned upon and I wouldn't feel right not doing it because I'm afraid of what other people would think.

heres the scoop alright me and my bf have been dating for almost 7 months now and he is a yr n half younger then me so he's in 8th and i am in 9th now we are like exactly the same we like everything the same we are both goofs and everything but lately.. idk its confusing but lately he's been acting diff. and i've been liking someone else and i dont know what to do so i started to drift myself away from teh guy i liked adn that helped but now i am not feeling the same feelings for my bf.. i dont know if i got use to me liking him or whatever i mean i dont have feelings for that other guy anymore tho but whenever i see my bf i get so happy and thats when i know i like him but i dont know if its time for a break? You sound confused. Sorry. But it's generally not a great idea to act rashly whilst confused. If you don't think you actually like this other guy, it's probably just because he offered you something a bit different from your current boyfriend. If you decide that you need a break from your boyfriend, then do me a favour and give it to him straight. If he's willing to go "on a break" as it were, then great, but you need to understand that the shock of it might change his feelings for you.

You are asking whether or not you should like him? Well that's a stupid question, only you know whether you like him.
As to whether or not it's a good idea, in my opinion, gossip spreads and grows and generally turns into lies, so just because you "heard" something, it doesn't mean it's true. Get the facts right before you make a judgement on his reliability.

my parents get mad at me whenever i say something about religion that doesnt agree with their views. they tell me im to young to have an opinion about that kind of stuff. and i do. and im not that good at communicating. so should i just tell them that i believe in god? even though i have doubts?

Parents need to learn that their children are not automically born with the same ideas and opinions as them. Tell them the truth. They'll respect you for it in the long run.

for american history, my class had to write an essay. we had to be either john kerry or george bush and discuss what issues we are going to change. today we got our papers back. i got 19/18, but i had a see me on my paper. it said the teacher thought i had not written it because it was far better than anything id written this year. we had to get our information from 3 internet articles, so i gave the teacher my articles. i did not plaigerise, and i told the teacher that. i dont know if tomorrow she will say she believes me or not. i feel so insulted and ashamed even though ive done nothing wrong. what do i do? Some teacher did that to me a few years ago. I still hate her for it. Just explain, in your nicest voice, that you are very sorry that your paper is intelligently written. Or cry because you are oh so offended, and make her feel guilty...

Ok. my friend and I have a rather odd relationship. We're good friends, and we talk all the time online, but we feel like we can't talk when we see each other because his other friends are there, and 3 out of the 4 of them that are there really don't like me for reasons I don't know. They don't like it that he even callls me a friend and I know, that sounds really stupid. I personally am not terribly worried about peer pressure, I'm pretty cool under it, but he's not. He lets things get to him. We're both kind of sick of hiding that we're friends, but telling the other guys to get over it won't help. The other guys think that's it terrible that he's friends with my best friend, (they don't like her much either) and both he and I know that they'd REALLY hate it if they knew that he was friends with me.
Any ideas of how to be able to admit we're friends, and not have anyone get hurt at all? (link)

Deal with it. It's how life works. Silly little teenage friendship politics isn't important, and that you can be friends with whoever the hell you want. Just admit it. Or you could let it all come out in some big scandalous rumour, and then 4 months down the line realise that your friendship groups have now joined up and oh how ironic that is...

Whether your brother makes friends or not is really not something you can control, ESPECIALLY not by "changing" him. Encourage him to get out, do some clubs at school, whatever. But that's all you can do.
