I know it's old-school teen series, but the sweet valley high books are always gonna be on the top of my personal teen series. I'm 22, and I STILL read them when i come across them.
Also, Madeleine L'Engle's Austin Family Series. Another old school series, but a guaranteed enjoyable experience.
Good luck sweetie,
and happy reading!

I have to say, I have a little sister your age, and I would be personally mortified if she were in your predicament..... but I do think that in asking this question, you already know the answer.
However, because you made this first step on the 'road to adulthood', there are some things that you need to understand.
Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) CAN be transmitted through oral sex. You say that he is your first boyfriend, but that doesn't mean that you are his first girlfriend, or his first sexual encounter.
You must be safe in all of the decisions that you make regarding sex.
If you are feeling guilty about your choice to make this move with your boyfriend, than it might be best to tell him that it was a mistake to move that fast and that you aren't ready to do it again. tell him that maybe one day, you will be ready, and that if he really loves you, he will wait for that time, and not ask or pressure you into doing it again until then.
Good luck sweetie,
and don't force yourself to grow up too quick, you will have plenty of time for that later.

ive been doing really well on guitar hero 3 on easy. i can do like any song. i want to get to medium but when i tried, i was awful like i cant get the blue at all, i cant do all 4. does anyone have any tips at all on how to get through it so i can get better? (link)
|
Shortcakes advice is really good, and i agree completely... something else though, that helps me when i'm having trouble with a song. I just remember that it's all in my head. what i do, is try to do an even harder song than the one i'm struggling with... and when i fail miserably at that one, i go back to the first one that was giving be trouble, and it seems easier.
like i said, it's all in my head, and when i start messing with the relativity of difficulty levels, it seems so much simpler!
good luck little hero, and kick Lou's butt for me!

someone is saying that i am stalking a guy that i dont even care for but i used to like a lot how can i handle this and will karma come around and do the same thing to them (link)
|
they are being childish, and you are not. good for you. you can not rely on Karma because it is uncontrolable and works in mysterious ways.
but as for him, have you ever considered that he might be the source of this rumor?
as i said, they are being childish, and you are obviously above that type of behaviour.
if they aren't your friends, ignore them. they should have no affect on who you are and what you do.
don't be bother by them.

(this might be in the wrong category but i couldn't really find one where it fit.)
Ok, so my neighbor i think is a smoker and every morning at like 6:00 he's outside on his patio and he's like coughing and throwing up and hacking really loudly and it wakes me up. So, i want to be polite and do something so that he'll maybe go do that in a bathroom so it wont wake me up. What do i do, should i leave him a note or something of that nature? Any good ideas would be extremely helpful, thanks in advance. (link)
|
as a smoker myself, i understand both sides here. you need your sleep, and he can't smoke in his appartment. (assuming you are talking about an appartment complex) also, he might not be coughing just because he's a smoker, be might also be sick.
what i would do, ( which might be a little coniving) would make him some chicken noodle soup, and take it to him. tell him that hear him coughing in the morning, and hope that the chicken soup will help him get better. either way, he might appologize for the noise, and change his coughing schedule to not bother you. either way, you let him know that you can hear him, that it bother's you, and that you are trying to be civil about the whole thing. and as a bonus, he will think that you are probably the best neighbor he has ever had.
it seems win-win from where i am siting.
good luck with the noisy neighbor!

I just met this girl the other night when i was out with my friend. I have been IMing her for like 3 days now and have talked on the phone w/ her twice. I neverrrr choke when i talk to girls, i usually always have something to say. Her friends told me she likes me and she told me.. i like her too for the amnt of time i have known her. I CANT THINK OF ANYTHING TO TALK ABOUT!! like i know ppl will say." start off with small talk get to know what shes interested in" or something along the lines of that, however its odd talking to her on the phone just asking a random question. usually i wld ask someone something becasue they hinted at it or w.e... all im trying to say is i need help talking to her, something new and exciting.. and nothing that will loose interest after a minute of talking abt it. honestly hun, we have all had this problem at one oint or another. even with just starting platonic friendships. the best thing that i have found to work is to play a game on the phone. what you do is go back and forth asking each other questions. they can eventually get fun and random. from what is your favorite color to your most embarassing memory and what are you allergic to. it will give you both an insight into each other lives and the ablity to learn about each other in a fun and exciting new way. give it a try, worse thing that could happen... you both share some embarassing stories about yourselves.
and i can assure you that she will like it. all of us girls do.
just ask her if she wants to play this game once the conversation starts lagging. SHE WILL SAY YES. you start by asking her a question. remember not to cut her off, and be honest. we appriciate honesty.
good luck hon.

So I'm having some period problems...
14/f/been on my period for three years
The last time I got my period was around November 3. I've been spotting for the past two weeks, but it comes and goes and I haven't gotten my period yet. Today I spotted just a little bit, but the blood was like a stark red rather than a darker red which I've never experienced before. I've never really been irregular, which is the only reason I' stressing right now. I've been experiencing some stomach pains and extreme breast soreness. I know that these are symptoms of PMS, but I've never had PMS like this before.
Also, I'm one hundred percent not pregnant.
I know that this is the typical, 'I'm late on my period, oh my god what do I do' type of question, but I really am kind of worried. Any advice or tips or guidance is welcomes. (link)

check for the symptoms of PolyCystic Ovarian Syndrome... look it up online. If you have some of these symptom, you really do need to talk to a parent. I know how hard that can be. Trust me, I went through that myself. But knowing is so much more important than a few moments of akward, embarassing conversation.

my boyfriends birthday is coming up on the 16th and i wanted to do something really special. this year we had a really bad homecoming, i was in a really bad mood etc, at one point i told him his tie was really ugly ( a lie) but he got upset bc he really liked it and he ended up returning it well the whole night sucked. so for his birthday i went out and bought the tie and im going to give it to him with a note saying meet me here at this time like a restaurant and have him dress up and wear the tie and ill get all dressed up and go out to eat. then i want to drive him somewhere and pull over but i dunno where to go. and have a playlist set up and roll all the windows down on my truck and have our own little homecoming. but i dunno where to go and some basics to make it cute not cheesey please help :]Thanks.

Get your friends involved! His Too! If the point is to recreate the night, but to flip it and make it memorable for being "magical", not disaterous, then you might need some help. See if you can get your friends to dress up too! Maybe keep the dinner just the two of you, but find a well lit, not overly loud parking lot, (maybe a wal-mart) and have your friends wait there with the stereo and also dressed up. (have them wait in their cars, this is very important for the surprise. Tell you you just needed to pick something up or something... then, when you park,(at like, the farthest spot from the store, but closer to your friends cars, and ask if he wants to go with you. let him kinda get out first, and when he steps out, let your friends know to get out of thier cars, and start up the music.... ask him "may I have this dance"... and then arty the night away.

Hi, I live in Toronto and I AM soo desperate for a job. I have a lot of retail experience but my job is not giving me enough hours. I am currently applying to bank jobs because i have experince but no luck yet. Do you know of any good sites (besites monstre and eluta) I think it would cool to work in a reatil customer service building but do not know how to apply. Can you help with any ideas of where I can apply to PLEASE. (link)
|
Okay Toronto, do this. Go to google.com and look up temp agencies in your area. Find the three closest to you. Set up interviews and be as honest as possible. They really appriciate that. Let them know your situation, what you're looking for, AND that you are going to different agencies. Temp agencies make money off you only if you're working, so if you play them against each other, they will try to get you into a job as soon as possible. I've worked with these kind of agencies before myself, and got one of the best jobs I've ever had with Sony Corporation. Give it a try, I'm sure you'll be pleased with the results.
