if you want to tone your stomach, then you should try leg lifts. just lay on your back on a flat surface, and lift up your legs at the same time. your legs might get sore after doing this a few times, but it actually helps to tone your stomach, and it's easier than crunches. i dont know any exercises you can do to tone your back, but i think that if you use a medicine ball, it can help you.
