The doctor called me with results yesterday. They won't be able to talk to me about it until next Friday. She said I have diabetes. My mom said I can get rid of it if I eat right and exercise. Is this true or will I have it forever? (link)
|
Type 2 diabetes is easy to get rid of. All you have to do is change your diet. Watch "forks over knives" and read "the end of diabetes" by Dr. Neal Fuhrman. It's better to get rid of type 2 diabetes with effort than live with it and it's complications for life, having to prick yourself daily, having to pay lots of money for medication, and so on. By changing my diet, I reversed my prediabetes. My doctor once threatened me with meds and now I weigh 40 lbs less and less than I did in middle and high school.

Hello,
Been mates for a year. I know that he fancies me and I fancy him which is I can tell is not right at the moment because of having a significant others in ours lives as he's got a girlfriend and a kid with her and I have a boyfriend. But I can tell he's not that happy because he hardly talks about her in case if I ask about her and I'm also not entirely happy with my relationship at the moment. His jokes to me it looks more like a flirting but he insists it's a banter, we have a good banter because we're good friends he states yet it still seems like a flirt to me. We both are in our mid 20's. He hardly asks about my bf and barely mention his gf. But me, i tend to mention my bf at least once or twice in front of him. Today I rang him because I hadn't seen him for a few days, just talked for a few minutes but I was the one to make a call first, he said he was crazy busy which is understanding coz I know his work. My question is, do guys hide their feelings no matter how much they like the girl and miss the girl? We're good mates and he's giving me signs but wouldn't text or ring me unless I ring or text him first. Also, why wouldn't he mention his gf often? Is it because he's feeling something for me? Could that be possible? I feel like I'm starting to fall for him. I don't know if it's just an infatuation. I just feel like I want to give him a kiss on the cheek or hug him when I see him (he's given me peck on the cheek few times already). I like him and we get on just great. Guys, is it really bad to fall for each other when we have significant others?? I feel like he misses me terribly but pretends he don't, wouldn't tell me. Is he hiding his feelings?? Do guys hide their feelings when they fancy the girl? Any suggestions guys? I'm sorry for the long message. Thanks ever so much. (link)

I am a nineteen year old female I'm 100 pounds and I'm 5'2''. I'm naturally thin and always have been. My diet is kind of all over the place I basically can eat whatever I want and not gain any weight ever. I'm skinny but I have a butt and boobs and recently I started working out again (I walk a few times a week and do yoga every day, usually I do yoga first then go running/walking) I had this problem last year when I did the same thing I immideately started to notice that my bobs were getting smaller and they're not that big to begin with (32B) if anything I'd want them to be a little bigger not get smaller. I'm already skinny but I just want to be more lean and toned and just have a little bit more muscle in general. last year i cut out all red meat and only ate grilled chicken and fish, only had whole wheat bread not white, only drank almond milk not regular, and lots of fruits and veggies in conjunction with this workout regimen. Is there something I'm doing wrong as far as my diet is concerned or are my boobs just going to get smaller regardless? Im currently following this workout regimen but want to know if I should follow my old diet or a new one so I dont lose too much weight. (link)
|
Wish I had that "problem"! Try eating more healthy fats, such as nuts (almonds, cashews, brazil nuts) and seeds (flaxseeds, chia seeds, hemp seeds). Also eat more protein from green leafy vegetables (kale, spinach, collard greens) and legumes (beans, lentils, peas). I say this as a vegan eating a whole foods, plant based diet for optimal health. Weight gain/loss is about calories in/out generally, but if you care about your health, focus on the micronutrients. Fish and chicken aren't healthy. All fish have mercury, PCBs, and other environmental toxins. Chicken has antibiotics, bacteria, is contaminated with feces, and etc. Google that. I'm not making it up. Watch the documentary "Forks Over Knives" to learn more.

Me and my daughter just came home from her 12 year old checkup. They weighed her and she was 160. I just don't understand how this happened. And the whole time the docter was more into bullying my daughter than really trying to help her lose weight. We all eat fairly heathly and her twin brother is fine. Please help me help her lose the weight without starving herself. Now she thinks she is fat and ugly but I don't want her to get an eating disorder or anything. (link)
|
help her start a vegan diet. i was overweight through my teen years and it was horrible for my self confidence and affected my success in school. i was watched for type 2 diabetes from age 14 and at age 19, my doctor told me that if i didn't lose weight, i'd have to start taking type 2 diabetes meds. don't let this happen to her. watch "forks over knives" and read "becoming vegan" by brenda davis, registered dietitian, to learn how to do a high carb, low fat, whole foods, plant-based diet properly. i went from obese to losing 40 pounds in less than 6 months, with minimal exercise. i now weigh less in my early 20s than i did since i was about 13 or 14. and i'm not starving myself. i eat healthy food until i'm full, and it's satisfying. exercise is still good and will increase the speed of weight loss and health in general, but what i'm trying to say is that health starts in the kitchen. she's not going to become a healthy weight eating animal products. or if she does, she won't be able to maintain it. don't trust fad diets like atkins. don't let her eat vegan processed food, either. she has to learn to enjoy fruits, vegetables, and etc. and not just see them as "health foods". good luck.

I know it can cause memory loss and loss of concentration/focus.
How can I improve all these as these are extremely horrid? (link)
|
try going vegan and eating a whole foods, plant based diet. i lost 40 pounds in a matter of a few months and started thinking clearly and feeling better enough to start making positive changes in my life. watch "forks over knives" and read "becoming vegan" by brenda davis, registered dietitian, for more info

So I'm new to this Pokemon thing. A few friends of mine convinced me to download Pokémon go, and I've been hooked. My parents thing I'm getting more active when in reality I'm just hunting Pokémon😂 and I saw a few episodes of the TV show and it's actually good. Anyway, can you guys just tell me everything I need to know about Pokémon? (The creatures and stuff) (link)
|
if you don't have nostalgia for pokemon then don't even play pokemon go. it's a game meant for people born between 1980 and 2000. if you were born earlier or later you won't really get it. and clearly you don't, or you wouldn't be asking about basic information about pokemon

I'm 13 years old, anorexic. Don't tell me things like "Don't do it" or "you're too young" cause if so then please not to be rude but I don't need your help. So I'm getting braces soon and I'm afraid that anorexia might ruin my teeth since I'm running low on nutrients and that it will make them loose and have gaps. So should I get braces later when I'm fully recovered or now? Like I don't want the 2 years of braces to go to waste if anorexia will ruin them afterwards so I need advice on wether what I should do....????? I know my teeth should be the least of my worries but I know the other risks and I can't do anything about it but I can do something about my teeth though.l....so please help!!!! (It just started and I eat around 500-1000 Valois a day and also workout now and then but when I do it's Extreme) (link)

Go high carb, low fat, whole foods, plant-based VEGAN! It's not a diet, it's a lifestyle change. I went vegan 6 months ago and have lost 40 pounds, with minimal exercise, and eating AS MUCH as I desire bringing down my BMI from 30 to 24. I weigh less now than I did throughout high school, as an overweight teenager, even when I exercised for hours while on Junior Varsity and Varsity sports teams. I went to my annual physical earlier this month, and even my doctor was in shock. I got my results about a week ago, and everything was within normal ranges, and many areas of my health improved very noticeably.
My goal for next year is to lose 30-40 more pounds, I just need to start exercising on a regular basis. Nothing crazy, just 30-60 minutes of jogging, Ballet Beautiful, bike riding.. things like that.
I think it's amazing what I've accomplished so far, just by changing my diet, though. It's a lot easier to go vegan than it seems. I was never vegetarian, I went from being able to eat an entire box of pizza or entire tub of ice cream in one sitting to a full-fledged vegan. I now spend a lot less money on groceries, have more energy (never need caffeine, and never feel lethargic like I used to on a regular basis), have more concentration, am learning to cook, and etc. Try it for a week, that's how I started, and I felt so good that I just kept going, and it's now been 5 months! You can get every nutrient from plant foods, including protein!

The only vitamin you need to supplement is B12, and one I personally recommend is Garden of Life's B12 spray (cause I personally hate swallowing pills, and methylcobalamin is better than cyanocobalamin). You can buy it at any health foods store (Whole Foods, Sprouts, Trader Joe's, etc.), or online.

No matter what I do, I can't seem to gain of lose any weight other than a few pounds. I'm a 13 year old female, and currently 147 pounds. Even if I'm using the threadmil, or just sitting one the couch, nothing really changes. Is this bad, or is it normal?

My name is akshay and i am fifteen years old. I am very lean and thin. I am very tensed about my weight. My weight is approximately 45 kgs. I don't play much and stay away from games and sports, because i don't want to burn too much calories by indulging in sports. I know that by exercising, i will become a healthy individual. But i think that if i do exercise i will decrease my weight. Is this thought correct? On the other hand, however much i eat, there's on increase in my weight. I have taken 3 months of weight gainers, but still there's no hope of weight gain. Please advice...... (link)

Go high carb, low fat, whole foods, plant-based VEGAN! It's not a diet, it's a lifestyle change. I went vegan this year and have lost 40 pounds, with minimal exercise, and eating AS MUCH as I desire bringing down my BMI from 30 to 24. I weigh less now than I did throughout high school, as an overweight teenager, even when I exercised for hours while on Junior Varsity and Varsity sports teams. I went to my annual physical earlier this month, and even my doctor was in shock.

Hello im 19/f and im a healthy weight and height for my age. I want to start eating healthy and stay away from fatty foods. I have problems with buying junk food or microwavable food because its quick and easy. After the holidays im gonna get a membership at the YMCA and start working out.. but i think i need a push on that one too because i hate working out. Everybody has told me bring a friend to help encourage me but all my friends work 40 hours a week and never seem to have time. I also have a problem with when im hungry i stop at McDonald or some other fast food place. Its like this overwhelming need to have it. Almost like its an addiction when i get hungry. How can i stop this? I feel good when im eating junk food but once im full i really regret it and the food makes me sick to my stomach and feel like crap. The thing is when i get hungry i dont care if the food will hurt my stomach, i just want to eat it. Also i say i want to stop drinking soda. I tell myself after this 12 pack im gonna not drink it anymore but i find myself buying more and more. Anyways how can i stop all of this? I want to get healthy and start eating right but its hard. Nothing in the healthy part of the store seems to interest me. I tell myself i wont eat that so why should i buy it. I just need help! Any advice on what i should do? Thanks and i do rate (link)
