I try to make myself go to sleep early and everything. But I just lay in my bed tossing & turning trying to make myself go to sleep. I have to wake up at 5 a.m in the morning and I always oversleep. When my alarm clock goes off I just turn it off and go back to bed. It takes like 30 minutes to an hour for me to go to sleep once I lay down. How can I make myself go to sleep early?
Ok, so this is going to be weird, but my sister told me this trick when I was five, and it's helped ever since. So, when you're laying down ready to sleep think of your favorite color over and over again. I know, it sounds strange, but it totally works for me, and most of my friends that I've told this to. Hope I helped!

Ok so today we did track and field and last year I got 1st and 2nd in every event but this year I had some dissapointment =( I placed in every event I did but sadly I wont be going to reginals unless this one girl drops out in long jump. I got 2nd in high jump (doesnt go to reginals because only 1st does) and I got 3rd in long jump (only need 1st or 2nd to drop out) and 4th in ball throw (I sucked this year because there were new girls) and more but how do I convince the one girl that she should drop out in long jump, she said she might. All she said she wanted to go for was the sprints which she'll be going for but how can I convince her to drop out of long jump? Help?
Unfortunately, the decision is totally up to her and the coaches since she earned it. Let her know that you'd love the chance to go to regionals for that event since she is able to go for another event. Also, talk to your coach and see if their is any way you can participate in regionals. They might be able to pull some strings. Hope I helped!Good Luck!

I am a college student & almost 20 years old. I have friends, but rarely get to see them. My mom doesn't really like me going anywhere, & when I do she yells at me & won't talk to me for days. I make plans to go see friends away at school & she even gives me all these ideas on how to get there & what to take, etc. & then the very last minute, is all "nooo, you can't go." She does this with any plans I make! & I always end up canceling. I've lost a decent amount of friends because of this.
I sit home every weekend, & I am so bored & unhappy all the time, because I never do anything. & I don't mean like staying out all night or something, I mean simple things, like going shopping with a friend or going to the movies or something.
What do I do?
My dad usually disagrees with her, but then she gets mad so he ends up agreeing with her. So I have nobody on my side about anything. & I don't want to just move out, that is just pushing the issue under the rug, & that would be expensive..
What should I say?
It seems that your mom doesn't want you "leaving the nest." You really need to sit both your parents down and tell them how you're feeling. You are almost 20 years old, you are an adult. You can't stay home forever! When you sit her down, let her know you are a responsible young adult, and would like to be given the opportunity to go out and actually live. Try talking to your dad first and tell him you want to talk to your mom about this, hopefully he will have your back. Hope I helped!

I have a boyfriend, and we've been going out for 3 months. We started really nice and everything was lovely. Recently he's been under pressure due to stuff going on at home, even though he won't talk to me about it much. We were at his house and he got really upset. I tried to hug him but he pushed me down onto the floor, it didnt hurt much but it was a shock. Numerous occasions after this he's hit me or shoved me when he's got annoyed. I know he's stressed, but he doesnt apologise. He just pretends it never happens. Im beinning to bruise and im scared. What should I do? (17, girl.)
You need to break up with him ASAP. Him having problems at home is not an excuse at all. You deserve way better than someone pushing you around and hurting you physically which will turn into emotionally. You're 17, even if you like him a lot, you CAN find someone else, who will treat you like a princess. Hope I helped! Good luck!

Last year I met this guy in one of my classes and he was everything i look for in a guy. We flirted alot and we went out twice. We always talked about getting together but i had surgery over the summer and he just stopped talking to me. I was mad and depressed because i liked him sooo much. I deleted him off facebook so i could forget about him but this year he is in 2 of my classes and i see him everyday. Now we barely talk and i never found out why we just stopped being close. I thought about talking to him about and ask him what happened but idk if would be awkward after...i still think i like him, any advice on whether i should pursue him or not?
Unfortunately, him not talking to you after you guys went out a couple times means he's probably not interested. Not talking to him, and deleting him off facebook is a good start to not liking him anymore. Try to move on to someone else, and eventually you will get over him. It might be hard, but you can do it! Hope I helped!

What is your input on tipping at restaraunts? I tip when I eat out but I also feel 'why tip when they are paid by the hour?' I understand that waiters/waitress make little but when one pays for their meal I do get why it is expected.
Example: Why tip a pizza boy when they are paid minimum wage hourly? Why tip a barista?
I am looking for inputs on how people feel, I feel both ways. We shouldnt have to tip... We pay for our food and we pay for good services.
People that deliver food actually don't get paid for gas. So, tipping them is mainly for their use of gas. Also, it's polite to tip waitresses, because like you said, they don't make a lot of money, and they are serving you, taking the time to make sure you have everything you need. If someone was rude, or wasn't doing their job well I wouldn't leave a tip, or I'd leave them a smaller tip than 15%. Hope I gave you good input!

Hi. I really need to find a way to be alone with my bofriend. I want to give him a blowjob, and he really wants one. The only problem is, we're never alone. When we're not at school, we're being supervised by our parents. How can we find a way to be alone with each other? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Try going to a movie, and sitting far away from everyone. I know, it's not the ideal situation, but you could suggest your parents see another movie if they want to go with you. Or, you could sit your parents down, and let them know that you want to be giving the opportunity to show your maturity, and that you'd like no supervision. Let them know you're a responsible young woman, and that you appreciate their supervision, but that it's time you two didn't have it. If that doesn't work, go for a walk with him, and go in the woods or something. Hope I helped!

I've decided to take a pregnancy test two weeks after taking the morning after pill. is the result going to be accurate or is it possible that the hormones from the morning after pill mess with it?
If you took the morning after pill 2 weeks ago then it most likely isn't in your system anymore [the pill]. Go ahead and take a pregnancy test, and if it comes up negative, still go to a doctor and have them give you a pregnancy test to be on the safe side. Good Luck!

Hi everybody,
I have decided to start eating healthier and also it would be nice to lose some weight, so I bought myself a smoothie maker.
I thought it would be the best breakfast option to make smoothies, as I they fill me nicely but are v. healthy. Alongside, for both lunch and dinner (although as a university student I generally go for a lunch-dinner anyway) I would make salads with various things, mostly with minimal dressing/sauces.
Would this enable some weight loss along side walking at least 40 minutes a day, if not more? :) I am honestly too busy for proper work outs currently, but later I would like to work in a regular pattern of at-home exercises.
What do you guys think?
That is a terrific start! Eating healthier is the first step to weight loss. And you should lose a bit from just eating healthy, but you will need to exercise as well. As a college student myself I totally understand how busy it is to fit in enough time to exercise. Before you go to bed, and before getting ready in the morning, just do some sit ups for about 5 minutes, it'll get you energized in the morning, and get you ready to sleep at night. Then, you will be ready to make a more active exercise plan. Hope I helped, if you need any more exercise/eating healthy tips let me know.

Hi,
one of my guy friends is being kind of mean. We've known each other for almost 3 years now. He keeps trying to force me to sing in front of the school choir teacher, when i sit with some of my girl friends he glares at me. A while ago i got into a fight with him. He slid milk over the table (while it was open) at my friend and it got all over her and her stuff. I got mad at him and when i walked away from him i heard him call me a b****. What do i do?
The best thing you can do is to talk to him. Just call him, or ask him to talk during lunch, DO NOT text, because if you do, you might not be able to say all that you need to and have it come out the way you want. Just let him know that he isn't treating you the way you deserve to be treated and if he continues you won't be hanging with him anymore. Seems like he's being very immature. Hope I helepd!

I have a 4 inch feather tattoo on my left side. The "stem" of the feather is pointing downwards so the top of it is on near my bra line. It doesn't look realistic, it is more of a shaded sketch. It is beautiful.
However, since tattoos are very addictive, and my side is a very valuable canvas, I would like to add onto my tattoo.
I need ideas.
An Owl with it's wings expanded would be sick to go along with that. Or, a quote near the feather. Hope I helped!

I started dating somebody about a year ago. We broke up for a month, got back together for a month, broke up for three. during the last breakup i started talking to another guy, who used to be my ex's close friend. my ex then told me he wanted to get back together. i was entirely honest with both individuals about the situation, and now i can't decide what to do. on one hand, my ex never did anything for me. does not hold meaningful conversation with me, try to make me happy, tell me he cares or anything along those lines. at first things are great and then essentially i feel like his good friend with benefits, so i dont know why i care so much. the other guy though, goes out of his way to make me happy, asks me about my day, can tell if something is wrong,he pays attention to me,but will be stationed with the military out of country within the next year or so. i have absolutely no clue what to do.
Well, if you kept breaking up with your ex their were most likely good reasons for it. I say stay with the one you're currently with because he seems to be the one that makes you happier. Even though he's going out of the country, he's still their for you, maybe not physically but everything else he is. When someone's yonder, the heart grows fonder is my saying. Hope I helped!

I have a crush on my french teacher. He is really nice , cool, and smart. In fact my favorite quality of him is when he speaks in french-he sound so cool.In addition he fun to joke around, not a lot people are willing to joke around with me, and that makes him more appealing. But i do not want to have this crush on him because it makes me jealous and envious when ever he compliments the other kids or talk to them instead of me. Furthermore, i am an eleventh grader and i think i want to become a french teacher, like him, but i not sure if i am doing it for the right reasons. I mean i am the smartest student in the class and i believe french is so cool, but i am worried that i only want to be a french teacher because i want his attention.
In time you will get over this crush. Logically, it can't happen because you're his student, and he is a teacher. It's ok that he's someone to look up to. And maybe you really do want to be a french teacher for the right reasons. Just give it time, and you'll move on. Try to direct your attractions on someone else, possibly someone your own age. Hope I helped! Good Luck!

When im in a relationship, i cant help but to like anoter guy. my feelings change for the guy im in a relarionship with and then i end up breaking up with him. What does that mean?
In my opinion, you aren't sure of what you want in a guy. When your with someone, you look at others that seem to be "better." Next time your in a relationship, and you start to get feelings for another guy, just stick with the one your with, and see if the feelings for the guy your not with goes away. This has happened to a lot of people before, even me, were you are more interested in someone else. Just, figure out what you want from a guy and take it from there. Hope I helped!

My ex and me broke up a few months ago. It wasn't a nasty breakup but I was angry & upset. I did tell him that if we were seriously done, then we were to have no contact so I could move on. So, obviously, we've had absolutely no contact since then. I'm not completely over him and I admit it. I am at the point though, where I'd like to be in some contact with him. I'd like to see how he's doing, what's new, etc.. possibly even start to be friends. I really think I could do that. I just don't know whether I should try to contact him or just let it go/leave it alone. I think if I didn't, I'd always wonder 'what if'. How do I figure this out? What could I say that wouldn't sound dumb/pathetic and more along of the lines of upbeat/curious? I'm such a prideful and stubborn person, but my gut keeps telling me to say something.
The best, and easiest, and non awkward thing you can do is text him a "hey how are you" or "hey how's it going." It's simple, and from there, the ball is in his court. Hope I helped!
