Hey, my name is Jackie and I'm glad to help you with anything that you need help with. I've delt with a lot of different and difficult things in my life during the past few years and sure enough can give you advice to help you through these tough times too. I have three little brothers and am the oldest in my family (believe me, it isn't always easy). In my free time I swim all year round, swim for my school, act (muscial theater),take voice lessons, and hang out with my friends. I don't care about my rating---all that matters is that my advice helped you.

So I want to learn to play piano, but I'm not sure how to go about it. I have a small house and a small room, so I don't have space for an actual piano. So I have some (stupid) questions:
Are keyboards essentially the same as a regular piano? As in, if I learn to play on a keyboard, can I also play on a piano?
What kind of keyboard should I be looking for? It needs to be cheap, but also good.
What's the best way to learn without lessons? I don't have time for lessons at all. Anyone know of any good DVDs that teach you to play? that would be amazing.

keyboards are basically the same things as pianos but have less keys. you can also change the sound on a keyboard. you can play a piano if you play a keyboard, it's not that big of a difference
i myself have a yamaha keyboard. they aren't as expensive depending on which one you get
do not get a keyboard that's 5 dollars on e-bay or anything like that... i've had bad experiences with those. they end up playing like 4 notes at a time and dont work well
as to learning to play... i dont know of any dvd's but i do know that it is very easy to learn from a beginers piano book.
also, sometimes on a keyboard it shows you what notes you are playing through a little panel. that might help you learn too

I think a lot of people have been through that. Try telling him that you just dumped your bf and that your not ready to have a new relationship yet. Or go up to him and be like look, I'm sorry but I don't like you so you shouldn't waste your time following me everywhere. Hope this helps your stalker problem.
my best friends mom is kind of an acholic and like one time me and my friend went to a movie and her mom didn't pick us up so we walked home. my mom got really mad and i can't like go over to her house anymore. her mom won't let her come over to my house either. i really want to hang with my best pal it's just i can't what do i say to my mom?
Well, that's a tricky one. Well, I'd start by saying you know, this isn't really fair to me because this girl is my best friend and I really want her to stay that way. If that doesn't work, see if you can possibly can hang at the mall or outside your houses. You can have your mom bring you there and back and her mom bring her there and back. Remember to tell her that it's not your friend that's the problem, it's her mom. And it's totally out of her control.

I realized that I am being VERY mentaly abused by my parents...But I am a very happy person so I TRY to forget about it.I don't really love my parents...I don't like them thats for sure.But I'm afraid if I tell someone then I'll be put in like foster care or something because I DO NOT want to move again...(been in 9 schools and 15+ houses) Plus I have really good friends and a PERFECT boyfriend and I am willing to take my parents abuse to stay with him.My question is what can I say to my parents to get them to stop...I REALLY need help :( Please don't tell me to tell someone I don't want to .
As much as you don't want to tell someone... I think you should. Chances are that they won't take you away... just make you fo to family conseling sessions or something along those lines. If you don't want to do that then try talking to them. Ask them why they treat you this way and why they put you down. Tell them how they are making you feel. Being abused is a hard thing to deal with, but by telling someone or talking to your parents, you might be able to deal with it or overcome it. Hope I helped
hes crazy. like.. he grabbed me by my hair because i spazzed out because everyone in the house thinks im crazy i bet because i told htem there was a cat in the back yard and there was like it was right next to the window staring at me and i went up to tell everyone and when i came downstairs it wasnt there anymore so there all like making fun of me. and i spazzed and threw something in the sink and he was grabbing my hair and yelling. its like one of the only time i saw he do that. i wanted to fucken cry i didnt i was just like DAD BALHABKSDHSJLAHDSKJ you know just yelling back. recently hes been getting on my last nerve. like he used to just walk in the door of my bedroom even if i told him not to when i was getting changed and then be like jesus christ ____ and leave the room or just like walk in my room and lay down on the floor and just be in the way and be so nosey. and like.. ew hes a fucken dumb ass. i fucken hate him right now. and HE AND MY AUNT ALWAYS MAKE FUN OF ME. like sometimes my brother does too. like i have big feet so my fucken cheap aunt can only point out the bad in everything so she makes fun of my feet because there big and i mean like thats all she talks about and she is so nosey she like comes in my room and looks thro my stuff of comes to our house and like goes thro droughers and stuff. shes a fucken bitch. thats what she is. she isnt married and doesnt have any kids of her own so i guess thats why she so freakin obsessed with out lives. and like... my dad just makes fun of my grade in math because im struggling in it because its soo hard. im in the 8th grade and the teacher if giving us stuff that 10th graders are learning.. and like. im in advanced so its so much harder. && my aunt cant stfu about my grade and like .. grades are important to me so i know ill bring it up. AHH I HATE THEM. my brother is so anyoying. my litttle one is okay. and my mom is a freakin crazy, fat ass bitch (who used to be gorgeous like homecoming queen and everything) and has NO HYGINE like. she doesnt wash her hands or like wipe herself. DONT ASK HOW I KNOW. shell like drink out of the milk container and everything. i fucken hate them all. my bros are okay tho.

they all think i have anger managment problems. and i prob. do because if you had to pick up after 4 fat asses who are slobs. and get in your fucken way .. and you have to clean the whole house because no one else will including there rooms.. and you have to do it everyday.. i think that you would be pretty freakin crazy too. OH and let me add that i have SPORTS too and then i have hours worth of school work because the teachers are bitches. everything is on MY shoulders and is MY fault.

Wow. That sounds really harsh. It does kind of sounds like your being abused or neglected though. If you are that miserable because of your family, I think you need to talk to someone. Preferably an adult you trust. You can also go to your school and talk to a guidance counsler. If you don't want to do that, you should try sticking up for yourself. If you do, they might not bother you as much. Try to stay away from them and do your homework in your room. If you feel stressed, don't yell at them. try to take it out on a pillow or something. i'm having some issues at home, and i'm really stressed out and just stuff like that. anyway, i really hate crying or being sad around people or talking about my problems... but last night i was hanging out with some of my friends and i just couldn't stop crying! i layed on my friend and just cried... i'm almost positive he knew i was crying...but anyway, i felt bad afterwords so i texted him and told him i was sorry and he won't reply... could he be mad at me?
He's probably just really confused. Guys aren't very good with feelings. It was probably a shock to him because he hasn't ever seen you that way. He either didn't get the text or isn't sure how to help you. And just so you know hiding your feelings for a long time will make you do that. It's happened to me. He can't be mad that you're upset, trust me. Hope I helped.
I worked with this guy a while ago, i had a crush on him and we kinda flirted here and there, but then he quit. I didnt talk to him much or see him. But then i found him on facebook and we've been catching up. I didnt think anything of it though. ok iv really like this guy for a while, and hes the first guy that iv actually reaaaally been interested in. wev kissed and stuff befor but wev never gone out. During the summer i kno he liked me because he was really protective and stuff.but now he wants to do like sexual stuff with me , and i kind of want to but im not sure if hes using me or not. I wouldn't go right for him. Don't let into him right away if you're afraid of being used. I think that you should get to know him before you do anything that you might regret later.

horrible idea. you'll starve yourself. if you want to go on a diet, do it in a safer matter. ask your parents or go to your doctor for help. you don't want to starve yourself or become unhealthy. you would get sick really easily. don't do that

You could try to make a closing garbage can with a sensor that makes it close when you wave your hand (that would be kinda hard to do lol, my cousin did it and won). I really don't have an idea. Just invent something that really bothers you. Something that can effect someone else's life
i want to scrunch my hair for tomorrow. so i plan on showering tonight and adding jell and putting it in a messy bun. then tomorrow morniung taking it out...will that work , or do yoiu have any tips ?

Well I wouldn't use gel because if you put too much in, it may accidently make your hair hard. I would shower in the morning and use mousse. If you don't have mousse, then use gel. After your shower, towel dry your hair for ten minutes. After drying, comb your hair and after put mousse or get in it. Scrunch it after you put the hair product in. Have fun and hope I helped!

Okay, well, my mom always thinks I'm angry and depressed about things and she is always wondering why, but she doesn't know that it's HER fault that I'm always like that! She's just so annoying and she nags me over everything, even over stuff I don't have to do!
But, I'm not even all that depressed and angry, it's only sometimes when my sister or my mom is being so annoying! I'm always happy, but she doesnt think so. Why does my mom nag me so much?
Parents don't realize sometimes that what they do or say makes you upset. Your mom nags you because she thinks it's the right thing to do. By asking you if you're depressed and angry it shows that she cares about you and how you feel. I would ask her if she could be a little easier on you because to you it's frustrating and annoying. If you tell her how you feel and she gets mad, at least you told her. It's better to let out your anger then keep it in. Keeping it in will make it worse. She wants an answer, so I'd tell her how you feel about her nagging you. Hope I helped!

I'm spazzing out about like EVERYTHING, I have tons of projects, on top of that I have Canzonetta, Chorus, Soccer, Kiwanis, and Piano, so I'm really busy. My teachers expect a lot from me and I don't have the time to give it. What can I do?

I was totally like that in eighth grade too. It's not easy to have time to do anything when you have sports and after school activities. They are just trying to get you ready for high school. Well, if you have classes every other day for 80 minutes, then try to get some homework done, and the rest just get done the next day. That's part of the beauty of 80 minute classes. If you have 8 classes a day, then what you need to do is do some homework and take a little break in between one classes homework and then the next. Any projects you have to do can be done during the weekend so then you don't have to worry about them later. If you're that stressed, maybe you can do some of your homework and studying on the bus to and from an away soccer game. I know it's really stressful, but you will be thankful that your teachers got you well prepared for high school. Hope I helped!

Okay, so there's the school playy and I want to try out but like in the musical I was given the role for like the people who talk sing, and I was kind of pissed. What you should do is go for your part! I mean seriously, if they gave you the part, you were meant to be given it. Could you imagine if a main character in a musical thought she couldn't sing so they gave up there part even though they were awesom? No way! Every part was made for a reason, trust me. Plus, next year if you audition and quit the director might say there is no way I'm gonna take you this year for you to quit. And if you were in Godspell, there is NO way you could have sang horrible. Everyone was great. And that's a fact.

Always make the best of time... when you see him, be yourself and stick with him the whole time. After you spend time with him you can get his cell phone number, his screen name, or anything else you can make contact with. Who knows... maybe he'll call you every once in a while.

Well, to start off you should probably tell the younger brother that you think he's sweet and all but you don't like him. I think you shouldn't tell the kid you like that you like him, but that's up to you. If you do tell him, I suggest that you tell him a week or two after you tell his brother that you like don't like him. It might be a little easier on his brother.

O thanks, lol. What kind of makeup? It depends what you want to put on and the complection of your skin and the color of your eyes. For example, I have a dark complection so I would start with darker foundation first. It really depends on what you want to put on.
