Advicenators discussion: Hospital Volunteer LagunaBabe wrote Sunday November 4 2007, 6:03 pm: I see that you're a hospital volunteer, I am too! =) Where do you work at your hospital?

You sit there are basically wait for a phone to ring and the caller gives you a random assignment to do. Generally it's something like bringing specimins to the lab, discharging patients, bringing around equipment, filling up patients waters, bringing patients to testing areas of the hospital, ect.
Where do you work in the hospital you volunteer in? LagunaBabe wrote Monday November 5 2007, 6:08 pm: Oh, that sounds interesting. I workin the gift shop right now, I took that job because they offered me a permanent job there. It was the only one that was permanent, and I though that would a good idea. And I'm going to work my way up to working in different areas, I'd rather be working with patients more because I want to be doctor. So the more experience, the better. Erinn_the_bamf wrote Monday November 5 2007, 9:22 pm: Whenever they called asking for gift shop workers I would refuse to go lol. I guess I'm kinda like you in sense that I'd rather be with patients. LagunaBabe wrote Monday November 5 2007, 9:53 pm: Yeah, I agree. Like I said, I took it because it's the only permanent job there, and when I'm sixteen, they can pay me and I can show them how hard of a worker I am. Then work in different areas, so I think I've got a preetty good plan, haha. Erinn_the_bamf wrote Tuesday November 6 2007, 2:59 pm: That it is a good plan haha. I believe I can get a paying job at the hospital when I'm 18 on the security/transport team. LagunaBabe wrote Friday November 16 2007, 2:41 pm: Thanks, haha.
I bet that would be a good paying job. =) Erinn_the_bamf wrote Friday November 16 2007, 6:44 pm: I hope so. It's back breaking pushing around those beds all day. One day they had me follow one of the members of the transport team around, and she seemed like she was in pain.
