My name comes from a school engineering spirit group that I belonged to. You have to audition for it, and you help run frosh week for the incoming engineering group. Everyone gets a name that's chosen for them by the head committee. It was known that I have a black belt in karate and that I was an engineering student, so... NinjaNeer.
